Service was a bit slow and indifferent.
Food was good.
We had an open table reservation but it was seat yourself. We did and let them know we were there. Worked out great as we had a table in back corner. service was good, food was good ( fish and chips, Shepherd pie) and noise was fine for a Saturday night. Had a nice Black and Tan, small MacAllen. All in all, we would go back again
The food was excellent. Service was initially excellent. Our Server changed and the second server was not nearly as attentive as the first. However- overall the experience was outstanding.
Hard to have a conversation because of all the noise, but still has friendly service, good food, and fun ambience.
We made a reservation but when we entered, there was a sign to seat ourselves... do they use reservations or not?
It was Superbowl Sunday and we were going to a 1230 CAPS game. We went for brunch, but were told that the brunch menu was not available because of how crowded the restaurant was. This was not known until we got there.
Also our waitress was not attentive at all and we had to wait to give our drink order as well as our food order. Once we did get our drinks, at was at least a half hour before she got back with us.
Always love this pub, but on this Sunday they abruptly decided to stop serving brunch at 10:30 am.... when we had a reservation at 10:30 for brunch. And again, recognizing that it was the day of a Caps game (doesn't this happen quite often?), the service was crazy slow for 2 people in our party. Their food took over 40 minutes to come out. So, I'll go back, but I'll be sure to ask about brunch hours if that's my plan. Servers were great - very nice & fun. Food was good.
Food is always great and the servers are super friendly.
I made a reservation for 4 at Fado before a hockey game. I was worried when I first walked in as I saw a sign that said “seat yourself”. The place was packed and there were no tables. I thought there is no way I am going to get the table I reserved. Within a few minutes, I had a server and two managers looking for a table for me and within five minutes, we had a table for four. We got quick service and the manager came back to check on us several times. I was impressed.
Nice Irish pub convenient for pre arena events
Great food and the service is fantastic. Best fish and chips in town!
Great food, great service and look forward to going back again soon.
Was happy to see that you could make reservations here, the place is ALWAYS packed. Food was good and so was service.
Great atmosphere and great food!!
My usual spot for Caps games. Whether I'm celebrating a win or drowning a lose, Fado's is my first choice after a game.
Great to hear, thanks for the kind words.
Service was great - waitress was very patient with my allergies and vegan diet. Food was really good - we especially enjoyed the hummus with mint oil. Many creative drink options, including some fantastic imported beers and whiskeys. A little loud at times, but decor was nice and atmosphere was lively but not overbearing. We had a great time!
We had a great time here and the food was delicious! We were visiting on a business trip but we will be sure to return next time we are in the area! Service was awesome!
What a great experience. We have been to Ireland and this place replicates the experience. The food is great and the drink good. They even have flights of whiskey like in Dublin. The service was great as well.
This place was amazing, our fave on our trip to DC. Absolute must try, all food perfect and the best old fashioned in town.
Food is OK Drinks are skimpy and expensive . Place is dingy.
Great food and a casual fun atmosphere.
Great location. Great ambience. Nice people. Food is uninspired.
We were finishing a DC March fo Moms event ant the restaurant was perfect to wind down and everyone enjoyed the food.
Our time was short before a Capitol’s home playoff game. The service was excellent and our meals arrived so quickly I was stunned, which gave us more time to relax before rushing off to the game. My kale and barley salad was outstanding! This will be our new pregame dinner spot in DC.
A friend and I had lunch on a weekday. It was very quiet and easy to hear each other. So a very different atmosphere from pre-game times. The service was top notch and the food was quite good. Will definitely be back at lunch time.
On vacation in Washington. Wow the pub was bustling and bursting with energy because of a hockey game. Obviously a spot for hockey fans for a pint and a bite before the match, which explains the noise which was fine. Food was great. Great atmosphere. Nice authentic old pub vibe. Really emjoyed it !!
With friends before the Caps game!
Excellent place to watch the match! Great service all around. I will return!
I brought a large group for post happy hour and dinner we had a lovely time in the drinks were great
Great atmospher, drinks, and food with a very friendly waitress!
Dinner before the Hockey game, place was packed but they had that under control. Bartender took care of us swimmingly and we got to the game in time for the first puck drop
This restaurant never disappoints. Great food, atmosphere. We were there prior to local hockey game so rowdy crowd. Great food and service.
Nice pub warm friendly good food . Quick service and value for money. Would recommend this pub.
Yo the server was dope and the manager was super accommodating of my rare allergy
Perfect place for some shepherds pie and a whisky on a cold snowy night
Went to watch college football. Lots of TVs great service and good food. Will be back!
Great! Busy, but had reservations, food came out quick, tasted great. Very cozy setting near fireplace area. Certainly a place to return!
My wife and I were in DC over a weekend from the UK. We went to Fado for Live soccer and brunch. It was a great experience clean lively good company and good value. We will return.
My wife andI love this place. She had the Rueben and I had the Black bean burger. Each was delicious and served quickly. Reservation did not disappoint. Great staff on event night (hockey game).
A special visit to Washington DC deserved a special dinner-so glad we tried this Irish pub! The shepherds pie was delightfully authentic, as was my husband's corned beef & cabbage dinner. Ambience was amazing with low lights and design/furnishings you'd find in the old country, herself! Tim, our waiter, completed a perfect night with great service. We will definitely dine here again!
