Great happy hour deals from 4-7 pm on weekdays. Draft Guinness and craft cocktails. Bartender Chris was very friendly, attentive without being intrusive. Shepherd’s Pie was tasty. Selected appetizers $6. Chef was kind enough to grill my fish for tacos. Would highly recommend and will go again!
Awesome location for some local irish bar fun. Staff bartenders were exceptional on the incredibly busy night of McGregor fight. We had a terrific time eating great bar food and rooting for the Irish ! Will be back and share with friends.
Everything was amazing!
Great early evening dinner on New Years Eve. 4 adults and a toddler enjoyed food and the energetic level of noise meant our little one wasn't a distraction to other diners.
Nice decor, but poor customer service. Had to seat ourselves, pit in our drink and food order at the bar ourselves, and when I spoke to the manager about the poor service, he blamed me for not finding him earlier to tell him about it. Service was a total joke, we won’t be back.
Meal before Navy-AF game with two grandsons. Played darts before and after meal. Lots of TVs showing college football games. Meals were a cut above pub grub. Enjoyed it.
Couldn’t get waited on. Had to move and beg for service. Ordered Shepard’s pie. Never came. Under time constraint. Was told only a Reuben could be made in time. All this totally unacceptable.
Food was delicious and arrived quickly. Outside seating was really nice.
It isn't really mush of an Irish pub..The decor.is maybe sort of British. There was Irish stew on the menu
The fish and chips that we had was pretty good, but nothing special. The service was lackluster. Our server never came back to see if we wanted drink refills or anything else.
Food was great. Fun place. Celebrated a birthday. Table was ready when we got there.
We joined a group of friends to have dinner and hear a band. The restaurant was flexible with changes to our original reservation. The server handled what could have been a confusing order. Everyone enjoyed the food and drink selections. The band was great.
The servers were slammed on Father's Day. Management should have had a few extra hands on deck.
Attended mother’s day buffet that was pricey but there wasn’t a lot of choices. The ad said free mamosa but wait staff never offered it. Nothing dessert like was on the buffet. Not worth the money.
We made a reservation for Mother’s Day. It was not disclosed the the buffet would be the only brunch option. We specially picked Fado because of this brunch menu selections which appeared excellent. Upon hearing about eh buffet option, we went to eat the buffet and the selection was less than appealing and not worth $30. It appeared picked over and not fresh so we left without enjoying a meal for Mother’s Day. this was very disappointing and the staff did not make any effort to apology more than a “sorry about that” or rectify the situation in anyway. I will not be returning to Fado for any special occasions or events and possibly not at all because of the lack of transparency and customer service.
Took my wife and 2 boys (12/14) to Mother's Day brunch. When we arrived we only then were informed it was a buffet only and no ordering off the menu. I neglected to ask how much the buffet was per person only later to find out it was 30.00 per person (kids too) and did not include coffee/juice etc. I will say the staff was excellent and courteous and the food selection/quality was flavorful . My only issue was the value which was poor.
We took my mom for her 75th birthday. The staff knew that ahead of time and really did nothing to acknowledge it. We had to ask which was whatever. The really sad part was how terrible the corned beef and cabbage was. Two of us got it and it was sliced deli me and shredded cabbage. Also the one person that got salmon said it was very dry and didn’t care for it either. I was very disappointed. Fado is definitely better for drinking, not eating.
Best Arctic Char that I have had at any price! Fish and Chips and Crab Cake were also great. We’ll definitely go back.
My friends and I have eaten dinner here twice before a concert at Maryland Hall. The service was always prompt and very friendly. The food is very good. The music is just a bit too loud for me, but otherwise, I do love this place. We have all agreed we will come back yet again in the future.
Food & service is always good. This is my family's 4th year having Easter brunch at Fado's Annapolis.
Made a reservation 1 week ahead for Easter Bruch at 10:30a. We were seated at a table that was four steps from the main entrance stairs. Requested another table that was not so close to the entrance. The hostess replied she would not move us as the other tables were reserved. Guess my reservation wasn’t as important as all the other empty reserved tables in the whole restaurant. By the time we left only 1 other family came in.
The wait staff was nice and did not have any issues with her service. Food was good.
We participate in Restaurant Week. Tried lots of dishes. Delish @
The only drawback to Fado is that the noise level is quite high making conversation difficult. The food we ordered came promptly and was very good. All four of us enjoyed our dishes. We ate from the appetizer menu which was great. Our server, Liz, was very good. As I said, the noise level, which was just from the music (not live) playing while we were there. It could easily have been turned down a notch or two.
Beer, food and service were very good. Customers at adjacent tables were very vocal in their enjoyment of college football games on TV, which made conversation difficult.
Went on a whim, haven't been to Annapolis in ages. My wife an I had a fantastic time, just made it before happy hour ended and the staff was great with getting our order in in time. Food was delicious and the wait staff awesome.
So loud I couldn't hear the person sitting across from me. This was during happy-hour. The noise calmed down a "little" after happy-hour.
This experience at Fado was not good, as previous occasions were good. The restaurant was completely understaffed. Three servers for the inside and outside diners could not handle the crowd, and was not fair to them or the diners. We had to find our server and ask her to come back to the table for refills and dessert order. Next special occasion dinner we will not choose Fado.
We had the Irish an American breakfast both were delish
The cheddar bread i wasnt a fan of, it is cold mot warm but EVERYTHING else was great
This is a very Irish pub with authentic feel and great food. My Fish and Chips were best in the whole area - lightly breaded, cooked perfectly and ample. Chips were large and tasty. corned beef and cabbage likewise excellent and well presented. Try their flatbreads. My spouse had one for a main course. Beer is excellent of course and wines are also excellent and fairly priced
Service was great and we loved the black bean burgers. They also have great salads. It is great to find a place that has tasty vegan options.
Ate outside and listened to the guitarist. Food was ok but the brownie with Guinness ice cream was well worth the visit. Will go back just for the dessert.
Food was good, drinks were weak. Nice waitress but one of our party(5) didn’t get dinner until everybody else was finished. Going to show and we were a little late. Very loud.
Staff went out of their way to support my group, provide excellent service, make us feel welcome and generally create an atmosphere that made the evening memorable. Food was excellent, menu varied, drinks generously poured, and room spacious.
We had a great time here! The outside patio is perfect for summer dining! The hummus was a bit oily. The salad a bit bland (needed some fresh herbs and spices!). The black bean burger was really fantastic though. As always we appreciate any and all whole-food plant based options!
I will start by saying it was probably a bad idea for us to bring a business lunch to Fado during World Cup soccer. But our meetings were at the Westin across the street and the Irish pub was very conveniently close. The noise level was very high as a soccer game was just finishing. When the game ended it did get a little bit quieter but was still a noisy, energetic environment. The food was quite decent and we were even able to get breakfast for lunch as on Saturdays and Sundays they serve breakfast until 2 PM. one thing I was very disappointed in is the lack of cleanliness. The floors, tables and menus were all very sticky. The bathrooms were utterly disgusting. As a woman walking into the bathroom in business dress, I almost walked out and went back across the street to use the bathroom at the Westin. The floors were dirty, the sinks were dirty and there was a disgusting ring around the toilet. I think the toilets in the college bars are cleaner than these.
Fado was a fun place with great food! Try the Southern Comfort pimento cheese dip for a wonderfully different appetizer! The portions were huge and the price was right. Happy hour beers at a great price and the service was fantastic. Great for groups!
This was a great Father’s Day brunch venue for our family; I recommend it!
In town visiting family.. great place for food, beer and conversation! The kale salad was excellent..
Excellent food in a very nice Irish Pub setting.
I love the food here. And the brunch is great. It was Mother’s Day and yet we were never rushed, always great service and everyone had a great time. It’s a little noisy but we didn’t want or need quiet. One of the reasons we went there was because we are noisy ourselves. The Fado Bloody Mary is really tasty.
