Lovely! Dinner was great and included a nice chat with the chef.
Excellent ambiance, outstanding service and awesome & exquisite food. We will definitely go again and highly recommend it!!
A great experience!
As an appetizer, I ordered the deconstructed crab alcapurria. However, they were out of crab and substituted short ribs. Had I understood, I would have probably ordered a different wine than the Gyotsku white blend. Nonetheless, the yucca fritters on a bed of shredded short rib with a spicy aioli was delicious.
For the main, I had the jerk butter poached lobster. They were out of couscous, so the server offered me a second side dish instead of the usual just one. I ordered crispy Brussels sprouts and roasted vegetables.
The crispy Brussels and the roasted vegetables were delicious. My lobster, however, was just okay. Nothing wasn’t specifically wrong with it, but it didn’t have that tender sweetness I experienced with butter poached lobster tail elsewhere.
I was really looking forward to the basil mint chip ice cream but they were out. (One theme of the meal was “we are out.” Supply disruptions due to COVID etc are understandable. What I have trouble understanding is why an online menu (no paper copies due to COVID) seems to be so difficult to update.) However, the tres leches was delicious.
Service was excellent: friendly and attentive. The chef came out to explain the substitution of short ribs for crab in the appetizer. There was no shortage of attention.
They don’t access American Express but accept Apple Pay.
Not perfect, but an excellent meal. I would try Fabula again.
This is my second time at Fabula. I really enjoyed my first visit. The food, ambiance and service were REALLY good.
This time around, I was very disappointed. My friend and I paid $159.00 per person to have a “food” experience in New Year’s Eve. We knew it was a fixed menu. I thought maybe a 4-5 course meal or a wine pairing. The $159.00 included an appetizer, a main entree and a dessert. No drinks or anything else included.
In my case, I chose the plantain soup, the surf & turf (filet mignon and 2 scallops) and a tres leches. The food was ok but not great. I was expecting something that WOW me.
My friend had a lobster bisque, salmon and a creme brulee. She is vegetarian but the vegetarian option was eggplant. She chose the salmon because she couldn’t imagine herself paying 159.00 for eggplant.
On the positive side, the service was excellent.
I hope their management do things differently in the future.
Great food and live jazz music. In the midst of Pandemic no less…
This place is amazing !!
The food was incredible as well as the service. A MUST go to when in PR.
We were greeted by the owner who was gracious and welcoming. The restaurant is modern and minimalist which allows your attention to be paid to the amazing food!! Every course was special and delicious :-)
Fuimos a Fabula a celebrar nuestro Aniversario. La comida estuvo exquisita, el servicio excelente, y el ambiente muy agradable. La dueña, Yamil Ruiz, nos recibió de manera muy atenta y se mantuvo pendiente de que todo corriera bien. Definitivamente vamos a volver pronto.
Overall, we were disappointed with our dinner.- The service was very slow. They were out of several items on the menu. The portions were quite small. We would t go running back.
Food - main entree was too salty (maybe just for me)
Drink - I ordered a virgin cocktail since I am allergic to alcohol, although I could not taste any alcohol in my drink, I still had mild reaction after I finished the drink, so I think it contained some alcohol. The drink was good though.
Service - short of staff during the Xmas season, so service was acceptable. They also offered free treats.
Visiting from Chicago this was our Christmas Day dinner. The owner/hostess was great. She explained the staffing shortage/ hence the wait for our good to arrive was longer than normal but being told upfront was nice. They had live music and the food and ambiance was nice. It’s a small restaurant but it was nice for any occasion.
The food was thoughtful and delicious. Two of us eat meat and two are vegetarians. Plenty of choices for us all. Would absolutely go back
The food was very good, easily the best meal that we had in PR.
Buena Localización en Condado. Ambiente agradable. Servicio excelente. El “seared Halibut” y “Brussels Sprouts” riquísimo. Personal muy atento.
Food was sooo delicious and the service was excellent as well. Awesome latin fusion, with everyone seasoned so well. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
The halibut was excellent. The Brussels sprouts also very flavorful.
We are vegans and they made us feel very comfortable with the food options for us.
Fabula was fabulous! My boyfriend is a carnivore and I’m a vegan and we both walked away in a daze thinking this was one of the best meals we’d ever had. He had the short rib dish and I had the pumpkin steak. The food was rich and savory and filling but we had to finish every last bite.
Onyx, our bartender and server, was warm and attentive and took great care in making our cocktails.
Intimate spot just one block off the main drag (Ashford Ave). Delicious food including a vegan option. Attentive service. Many wine options.
Service was fantastic, and the food was too! We found the Pumpkin Steak to be excellent, and the Coconut Chicken Curry to be good. Would recommend.
Chef and staff were super friendly and kind. The food was delicious, a creative way to homage our local cuisine. We really enjoyed our evening at Fabula and will be coming back to try their brunch.
Excellent food and service.
Personal sumamente atento, cortés, la muchacha de la recepción nos hizo sentir como en casa. El brunch está a otro nivel! Los pumpkin spice pancakes divinos!
My friend and I really enjoyed Fabula. The food and service were great. We are looking forward to come back
Nice, quiet place with very tasty food. A little overpriced, need to improve the wine list.
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food.
The ambience was good, very friendly service but we saw them briefly. The food was a bit too salty.
Their chicken curry is fantastic, the ambience magical...
La experiencia fue agradable. El personal es atento. El chef nos envío un aperitivo suculento. El ambiente es relajante. Sus cócteles deliciosos. Su comida espectacular. Gracias a todos. Nuestra velada fue increíble y maravillosa.
Pretty nice place with excellent service and staff...great entress...the pork chops and short ribs, wow!....and really impressive cocktails list with adequately price wine selections!
Pumpkin pancakes were yummy, homemade. The avocado toast was delicious, the chicken & waffles were okay, not the best. Overall good.
First of all, you should know that the restaurant does not have a parking nor valet service. You must park on the nearby crowded streets. You need to show full Covid vaccine, which is great. Our waitress seemed lost, though very friendly; maybe was new. She could not describe the dishes precisely. She forgot part of our order and had to come back a 2nd time to copy it down. She also forgot which wine we ordered and had to be reminded twice. Appetizers are ridiculously small in size, high in price, though very tasty. Drinks are regular in taste and expensive for what you receive. Main dishes were delicious, with adequate portions, and irregularly expensive, not consistent with the plate.
If you decide to go, I suggest ordering a main dish and dessert, nothing else.
Everything was delicious!!
Went for dinner on a Friday night. There was no one else there. The food was well presented but flavorless. Food has ample room for improvement. Drinks were good.
We loved the Fabula experience, it was spectacularly perfect! The service, the food, the ambiance, the music, the cleanliness, everything was just as you would want a nice evening to be! Chef Yamil and staff made us feel at home! Definitely recommend!
THE STAFF WAS ATTENTIVE AND ACCOMODATING. OUR FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND WE REALLY APPRECIATED THE VARIETY OF VEGAN OPTIONS TO ACCOMMODATE OUR DAUGHTER. SHE HAD THE PUMPKIN STEAK WHICH WAS DELICIOUS AND WE TRIED THE MANGU PASTELON AND HALIBUT WHICH WERE VERY NICE. THE MAMPOSTEAO RICE IS A MUST! WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR DINNER AND WILL RETURN.
Food was amazing and ambience was great, perfect for everyday dinner and dates!
Muy atentos, servicial y la comida muy rica. El chef nos obsequió un aperitivo suculento.
We had the Bubles and truffles scrumdiliumcious!!
We met Christina and es un angel!! I miss you already she made our experience sooo welcoming I felt like I was dining at a friends house.
Ps try the curry chicken
