From Chef Srijith Gopinathan and restaurateur Ayesha Thapar, the creators of Ettan, Copra and Little Blue Door, Eylan offers seasonally-driven Cal-Indian cuisine centered around a wood-fired grill, with thoughtfully sourced produce and a variety of proteins cooked over the embers and served alongside clever riffs on traditional breads from different regions of India. The bar program by West-Bev and Christopher Longoria draws upon the kaleidoscope of ingredients and techniques that make up global cocktail culture, while also taking inspiration from the culinary traditions of India. Wine director Andre Sydnor's program offers depth in classic regions like Burgundy, Champagne, Piedmont, and California, offering a variety of options for casual wine lovers while including more exclusive selections for serious oenophiles.

    Our parking is located beneath the restaurant in a parking garage. The entrance is located off the intersection of El Camino Real and Middle Ave. If you are going north on El Camino Real, make a right onto Middle Ave (if going south on El Camino Real, make a left) and follow the street to the right. The first downward ramp leads down to our parking garage. This will look like an entrance into the condominiums. Once you get to the bottom turn to the right and drive until you find an elevator to the right along the wall. This will lead to our lobby on the first floor.

                                                    My wife and I had dinner at the bar. The food was absolutely delicious. The chef and the kitchen staff are doing a great job. The bright and vibrant flavors of all our dishes were a total delight. We will definitely come back soon.

                                                    The ambiance was lovely and the service was fine, but the food overall just didn’t deliver. We felt nudged to order more than we wanted, and nothing we tried stood out as especially flavorful or unique. The much-hyped squash blossom fell flat, and the pani puri lacked the tangy punch the waiter promised. Sitting on the patio turned out to be a mistake—the train noise was overwhelming. Ironically, the highlight of the meal was the complimentary biscotti at the end. Wouldn’t return for the food, but at least the decor and dessert left a small impression.

                                                    Tried this Indian restaurant recently and was pleasantly surprised. While a few dishes seemed tailored for a more American palate—think "Indian guac" that felt more like fusion than tradition—the flavors overall were spot-on. The classics were rich and aromatic, and even the Western-leaning items were tasty in their own right. It’s not the most traditional Indian fare, but if you’re open to some creative spins, this place really delivers.

                                                    This was our 2nd experience dining at Eylan and both times were for birthday celebrations. Delicious food and cocktails. The crab murtabak was outstanding along with the Anar chicken, fried chicken and sun bream fish. Great service too. Decor is somewhat confusing ..edging on a mesh mesh. However, the acoustics are terrible. It was so noisy both times that we could not hear each other.

                                                    We had an amazing anniversary dinner at Eylan! The Chilled Green Grape Chaas in crispy puchkas and the Sweet Potato Mutabar with pineapple chutney were standout starters. Loved the dips, celeriac kebabs, Anar Chicken Sigri, and black cod with coconut rice too. While the cocktail missed the mark, the staff were incredibly kind and took it off the bill. They even surprised us with mango sorbet and a special treat from the chef. Can’t wait to go back — especially for the puchkas!

                                                    Food and service are truly incredible. The decorations and seating arrangements are great. My only substantive critique is that the restaurant is incredibly loud, making it hard to have a conversation even at a small table for two.  The food style is fun with a great mix of fresh California ingredients that are balanced with amazing spices and Indian flavor. I really appreciated how carefully the chef/team curated the menu (both food and drinks).
