From Chef Srijith Gopinathan and restaurateur Ayesha Thapar, the creators of Ettan, Copra and Little Blue Door, Eylan offers seasonally-driven Cal-Indian cuisine centered around a wood-fired grill, with thoughtfully sourced produce and a variety of proteins cooked over the embers and served alongside clever riffs on traditional breads from different regions of India. Our parking is located beneath the restaurant in a parking garage. The entrance is located off the intersection of El Camino Real and Middle Ave. If you are going north on El Camino Real, make a right onto Middle Ave (if going south on El Camino Real, make a left) and follow the street to the right. The first downward ramp leads down to our parking garage. This will look like an entrance into the condominiums. Once you get to the bottom turn to the right and drive until you find an elevator to the right along the wall. This will lead to our lobby on the first floor.

My wife and I had dinner at the bar. The food was absolutely delicious. The chef and the kitchen staff are doing a great job. The bright and vibrant flavors of all our dishes were a total delight. We will definitely come back soon.

The ambiance was lovely and the service was fine, but the food overall just didn’t deliver. We felt nudged to order more than we wanted, and nothing we tried stood out as especially flavorful or unique. The much-hyped squash blossom fell flat, and the pani puri lacked the tangy punch the waiter promised. Sitting on the patio turned out to be a mistake—the train noise was overwhelming. Ironically, the highlight of the meal was the complimentary biscotti at the end. Wouldn’t return for the food, but at least the decor and dessert left a small impression.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner at Eylan! The Chilled Green Grape Chaas in crispy puchkas and the Sweet Potato Mutabar with pineapple chutney were standout starters. Loved the dips, celeriac kebabs, Anar Chicken Sigri, and black cod with coconut rice too. While the cocktail missed the mark, the staff were incredibly kind and took it off the bill. They even surprised us with mango sorbet and a special treat from the chef. Can’t wait to go back — especially for the puchkas!

Food and service are truly incredible. The decorations and seating arrangements are great. My only substantive critique is that the restaurant is incredibly loud, making it hard to have a conversation even at a small table for two. The food style is fun with a great mix of fresh California ingredients that are balanced with amazing spices and Indian flavor. I really appreciated how carefully the chef/team curated the menu (both food and drinks).
