Amazing food and great vibes
Always a treat to enjoy a night out at Extra Virgin. Has yet to disappoint!
Delicious food and courteous, professional service. It's a bit of a tight squeeze, but that's part of the Village charm.
My go-to anytime I’m introducing friends and visitors to great food, drink, service and ambiance. Sit and eat at the bar if alone or with a friend. Daud, JR, Joseph are my favs- everyone there is great and you’ll always get the smiles that make you feel welcome.
It was a cute place but the music was way too loud for a while until they finally lowered it. I might guess they dont normally put it this loud for what its worth. 40 minutes of loud music is enough to sour the overall experience though. Food wasn’t bad, it was average. I got bacon scallops which had a tangy ish sauce that paired bad and my lobster pasta wasnt too good either, but edible. I think I would go back during the day with a bigger group bc I liked the outdoor seating, or, it would go good for a cocktail.
They had music on with explicit lyrics.... over and over again. I don’t think I’ve ever heard the F word so much while having a nice meal.
Great sangria, excellent apps. Burgers and fries are the best!
Host was rude. Food was average.
Food was very good, but I was surprised that they were still on a Sunday Brunch only menu at 2 pm.
Pretty good spot for brunch but nothing really exceptional
There are so many other worthy places in downtown
Really cute. We’ll be back!
Delicious food and great outdoor dining experience!
My lobster tacos should be labeled as appetizers -- I was still hungry afterwards. My server asked me if I wanted fries and I declined. She should have told that the tacos were not that filling. All their dishes are listed together -- they need to section off appetizers and entrees.
I hate burned out light fixtures especially over the bar ... if you can’t keep the place then close .
I don’t usually write negative reviews but this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had- we ordered “paella” which was truly just bland seafood stew of boiled flavorless seafoods with a tiny portion of hard rice. We were going to complain about the meal but none of the waitstaff ever asked us how our meal was! We just asked for the check and then they dropped it off and picked it up. Really bad food and service- truly horrible and I won’t go back and I’ve told friends about this experience also
The heirloom tomato gazpacho was exellent as was the mushroom ravioli. Hubby had the sea bass and enjoyed it very much as well. Would definitely return to this neighborhood gem.
Beautiful and quaint outdoor seating with delicious food!
Great food! Halibut was excellent! Ambience was lovely and a great location!
Mediocre service and food. There are better restaurants in the area in terms of value and food quality.
Host is kind of rude. Very dismissive.
It was by luck we found this place on open table. Would highly recommend it, the lobster tacos, prosciutto wrapped in scallops... to steak, it was really good food, great presentation and waitress was attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor seating
Really bad experience. Food was cold and gross - way overpriced, horrible wine choices, and ingredients weren’t clear or well communicated. 2 meals, 3 apps, and only 1 thing was decent.
Very bland food (little to no seasoning used) and very loud. Has potential to be a great date night spot but it is impossible to hear yourself think!
Extra virgin is consistently great! I love going here for girls night dinners or a date. The energy is awesome every time. I was slightly disappointed that our waitress didn’t course or food choices and everything came out at the same time. We had five dishes on our small table and it made us feel very rushed. Overall would recommend though
1. The bus boys or food runners were fairly.
2. They gave my wife a dirty plate without looking or making eye contact then sped off to the kitchen. When i chased him down with the dirty plate & asked for a clean one, he rolled his eyes.
3. My wife did not like (or eat) the Fettucine main dish she ordered. I told the busboy who cleared the dish, and no one offered to do anything about it.
4. WHERE IS THE LAMB THREE WAYS DISH??
5. The creme brulee made me sick later that night.
Overall: This was the worst experience I've had at Extra Virgin. This was always my go-too and have been coming here consistently for 3 years. I'm hoping the employees are not feeling demotivated because I did not feel appreciated as a customer and guest.
Service was poor. Half filled side of the restaurant and we were left without beverages for extended periods of time and finished plates were left unbussed for minutes on end. An off night for extra virgin
The food was terrific. as usual. the seafood is always 5 star! I had the sea bass. It was the best I have ever had. The restaurant is crowded but it is the West Village, so a bustling scene.
Great vibe and location!
Always great here. The mushroom crusted chicken is my go-to but tried the special BBQ chicken this time. Did not disappoint. Wait staff is always friendly and engaging.
Food was OK - not great.we sat outdoors on the small porch in front of the restaurant which was pleasant. The noise level indoors was much louder.
Went with a group of eight to celebrate my birthday . Great food. Great service. They were very accommodating for someone who had diet restrictions. Already planning my next visit.
Love the food, excellent margaritas, very nice aesthetic outside but the volume of the music was too high inside
Excellent food. Excellent service. Music loud but always a drunken loudmouth or a bad awkward e harmony date where one yaps on. A conversation is when two people talk. Not one person twirling bread and the other telling of every random occurrence of their day crazy loud. But I live it. I love the bar I love JR staff always jovial. Lots of times cute people Kara
This restaurant consistently delivers a delicious meals with great ambiance.
Love the food and ambience. It’s one of my favorite NYC spots.
Very good food and service. Staff is highly accommodating.
Service and food were great. Thank you!
Fun dinner with friends, food was awesome, fun music
Lovely seating outside in the west village and delicious food!
Fun and relaxing. Sat outside and
