They are doing construction at the brownstone alongside the restaurant. Extremely loud and lots of sawdust about. They were very gracious to accommodate seat changes.

Easter Sunday Dinner

I have never encountered ruder staff. They did not check in, literally ignored and refused to acknowledge us. Did not ask us if we wanted refills on our drinks. Rolled their eyes. It completely ruined the experience

We were rudely rushed out of our table before we finished our meal and drinks. We were only at the table for 62 mins. Staff has a lot to learn about customer service. Hostess came to our table and was not polite, after we expressed she was rude and that they didn’t deserve the gratuity they put on our check she came back and to the table with a new check, slammed it on the table and told us we needed to leave. Extremely rude. Will not be coming back. Food is great though.

Its very expensive for such a casual place the food was good not amazing but our server was very nice and attentive.

I love Extra Virgin. It is my to-go place for fun, comfort food with great drinks, and great atmosphere. However, for some reason, the server wasn't in the mood for us. We were a party of 8 and things could get complicated when placing orders. There was confusion when the food came, and the waiters kept bringing orders at different times instead of all at once. So some of us were eating while the others were waiting. Having said that, the main waitress was friendly, but the people that brought the plates were rude and to us, they seemed very angry. This is the first time in my many visits to Extra Virgin that I've experienced this lack of service. Perhaps, it was because we were a party of 8 and the "tip" was going to be added to the check? We will not let this blurb stop us from coming back.

Where else will you be able to have a celebrity chef visit the table multiple times AND be hospitable enough to hang out for the toast? World class personalities and world class cuisine. Loved the experience! So did my first date!

Ate outside - servers were busy on a Friday night with nice weather but very helpful. Food was good, portions are normal sized which is a plus and drinks were great. Felt very safe although did not go inside.

Overall, food was wonderful but front of house seemed disorganized. Waited over 20min past our reservation time, and another 15 minutes once seated for a server to first stop by.

This is the best place in the Village for a date night or any type of night! Loved the food and atmosphere! I will come back!

I've avoided coming here for many years because it's almost too much of a staple in the neighborhood - I'm so glad I tried it. Everything was amazing.

Food was excellent - highly recommend the extra virgin chicken. Cocktails were also very good. Music was loud, but that made for a fun and energetic ambiance. I will be returning!

Went for brunch with friends & had the Turkey Burger, it was delicious! Also we ordered the French toast for the table & it was the best French toast I’ve ever had! You will want to drink the syrup!

Margs where fantastic, they put a decent kick and the amount of fresh lime juice was a differentiator on the spicy margs.
Everything else was pretty bang on for West Village. Good spot for any spur of the moment West Village dinning.

I’ll be coming to this spot again! I felt safe eating here and felt like the staff was in compliance with COVID-19 policies.

Superb experience! Salads are among the best in town, and go early on Sunday for the spaghetti meatballs - they run out quick!

I came here for brunch on a saturday morning and sat outside, which is decorated really nicely with vines and plants. The tables are covered and have heaters. Food was really yummy but a little pricey (of course, it's New York brunch, so to be expected). The only real negetive was the service, which was very slow. If you're okay with a "european style" pace of service, I'd still recommend.

I recently moved into the Chelsea / West Village area and have had Extra Virgin on my list of places I wanted to try. Unfortunately, Extra Virgin did not live up to my expectations. The music was absolutely blasting inside the restaurant to the point where I could not hear what my friend was saying directly across the table. The music was unnecessarily loud and made the meal unenjoyable because I was shouting across the table. The food was sub - par ; expensive and not really worth it. If I were to come back here, I would just go for a drink and not a full entrée as I didn't think the menu or food was anything to rave about.

Rap music blaring outside was not the mood we had in mind when booking dinner here. It was like a club inside, too. Maybe this is what the market demands, but it was a surprise and we were let down by the food, too.

Amazing menu with wide selection to fit your mood. All quality and amazing!

After waiting 20 minutes to be seated for our reservation time, it then took 15 minutes to receive water and another 25 minute for someone to get our drink order which we were then asked to order our food at the same time. Food was average nothing spectacular and service was horrible. As the waiter sat at a table and chatted with his friends we were never refilled water or check on once. Disappointing seeing as this place always seems busy.

It is my favorite restaurant in NY for Brunch. This time was the only time the service left me unsatisfied. I believe it was something that happened occasionally. Thank you

Food is outstanding! Outdoor heat lamp situation is hit or miss. Our table was a little chilly (also went on a chilly/windy night) but I feel like the one next to us seemed like it would be warmer. Inside looks awesome and I can’t wait to try it (when I want to dine inside lol)

An amazing experience for my friend’s birthday dinner. The food was amazing and the drinks were divine. The extra touch of a complimentary birthday cocktail and a dessert made it even more special, especially during this pandemic. We cannot wait to visit again.

Experience was solid until the bartender started yelling for everyone to leave while the staff stood at the bar laughing with her. She kept yelling for everyone to get out after the waiter told us there was no rush
