Came a bit early, as open table showed they had tables available and ended up having to sit outside for a half an hour.
Waitstaff was nice but knew the people dining next to us and would come over to sit down and chit chat. Totally get wanting to network, but made for an uncomfortable and cramped experience for the other member of my party when our waitress was all but sitting at our table.
The food and cocktails were delicious. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend the scallops and sea bass.
Incredible brunch! The food and environment was amazing and I loved it!
The manager was rude, the salad came out without the fish and no customer service. Very disappointed
Great vibe, ok food.
reliably great! Indoor and outside both wonderful
One of the best value meals I've had in Manhattan. Delicious food, size-able portions, and excellent price!!
Reliably great food in a nice ambiance with friendly, dependable service.
Delicious early evening meal for six. Most of us got fish and it was all extremely tasty. Great service too, very friendly and accommodating staff.
I pass on writing anything.

We chose the restaurant for our Christmas Eve dinner with a friend. We’d been here a number of times and always love it. This time was even better than before. Our server was the perfect person to have for a festive dinner. The manager is always fun and makes you feel like you’re a regular even if it’s months between visits. The whole staff was great and our dinner was exactly what we were hoping for on a holiday outing.
Amazing food and lovely outdoor setup! 7 hour lamb was outstanding, as were all the appetizers.
Great neighborhood restaurant, service and food are high quality
Delicious food and delightful, attentive service, do not miss a chance to eat here.
This was our second time dining here. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
Great service. Our waiter was so friendly and kind to our two dogs. We sat outside and they have a great set up because you aren’t on the sidewalk and they have heating. I ordered the avocado toast and it was delicious. My husband ordered the French toast and it was equally delicious.
I have been to Extra Virgin several times — it’s usually a reliable go-to in the West Village. But unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning after my most recent visit. I was appalled most by the bathroom — it was filthy in the sense that I could tell it hadn’t been cleaned well in a very long time. There was also no hot water and no soap which is not acceptable given we are in a pandemic. Service was slow but friendly. Our drinks were made well. Our food (pasta) was inedible — cold and bland. I suspected it wasn’t the right order but I didn’t have the patience to wait another hour for anything else. I hope this was just an off night but I won’t be back anytime soon to find out.
Amazing food!!!! Great atmosphere. Everything was good!
Service was poor and food was mediocre and expensive- tip is unexpectedly included.
We enjoyed our food! And our server, Michelle, was fantastic. We were seated at a great spot in a heated outdoor shed. Inside, which I walked through to use the bathroom several times, was hugely noisy, crowded, messy. I was SO relieved that there was an outdoor option - because I could never have managed to stay long enough to eat with the level of noise inside. Regretfully, I must say that I didn't see much covid precautions/cleaning of the outdoor seating between guests - and there was a LOT of turnover as the restaurant was very busy. Good service, good bussing, GREAT food. I would go back - but only if outdoor seating remains available.
Good food, great service but way too loud in the restaurant. Makes it difficult to have a conversation at the table.
We mentioned it was for a birthday celebration but it was overlooked.
Cozy, local restaurant with great vibe. Excellent food and service.
This is a cozy restaurant with a very personable staff and experience, great ambiance and excellent food. I will definitely come back when in NYC!! Be sure to get there early, because the special of the day sells out fast. Such a great place!!!
Terrible service, mediocre food, poor presentation. Seriously, don’t waste your time. So many other dignified restaurants in the area. See cafe cluny or NAT. This place is basic af. Used to be good but now it’s run by wannabes.
We loved the location, the music/ambiance, and the food was great. Only complaint is the service as there was 2 people serving the entire restaurant.
Music is too loud. Tip %20 is included in bill and they don’t let you know so you may add again. very crowded and popular
Its a cozy restaurant in the heart of the West Village...
The food was simply amazing! Desserts good as well
They were very nice and so accommodating and gave us free dessert! Food was good, I know St John is expensive but it was pricey for what we got. Great ambiance. Food didn’t blow us away like Morgans Mango did (and they have $40 lobster on Tuesday and Saturday), our least favorite meal on the island but it was still good. I think the fish of the day was definitely the best. Service is fantastic! Oliver is the man.
The food was pretty good. Although I loved the mussels, I think putting the lemon gremolata on the side would be good. Just a tad too tart. The bread had a nice dark crust that I love. Although I didn't get pasta, I tasted my aunt's truffled fusili with mushrooms and ricotta and it was very good. The room was just a tad too dark which made reading the menu hard. That's an indicator line for me. Although the server was super sweet, I think a little more attentiveness was needed. Also warning customers that all desserts require 15 minutes would be good. Definitely enjoyable overall. :)
I feel badly writing this as I had really looked forward to going to Extra Virgin, recalling having a greet meal several years ago. Unfortunately this was not the case. The pasta tasted like it was pre-cooked. The butternut squash ravioli too sweet and rubbery. The menu also was very odd and disappointing. What happened to the authentic Italian pasta dishes? The cost was exorbitant for such a poor meal.
Love the place and the food
We Wenceslao for thanksgiving and they have a predicar menu
It was our first time dining at Extra Virgin. We joined friends for A Thanksgiving lunch and found the staff to be welcoming and attentive, the food was delicious, highly recommend.
Cool place in the west village. Really good waiter.
Had brunch at EV with my friend and service from beginning to end was amazing! We had the mediterranean avocado toast & banana French toast, so delicious!
Everything was good, the only downside was their strict seating timelines. We unfortunately were still eating dessert when our server rushed us with the check. I understand the policy but just an overall letdown when we’re still actively eating vs just sitting and chatting.
I didn’t like the fact that the restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity on a 2 person ticket. I’m a patron that always tips at least 20% but I don’t like it when it’s added to the bill. A tip is something you base off of your quality of service. Probably won’t be back because if this.
It was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Food was good. Host was great but the service was horrendous. I had to ask for silverware after they served
