   They went above and beyond when we were late for our booking. Welcoming, professional and the food was amazing! Thank you Exeter Inn for accommodating a couple of late locals on Easter Sunday. We definitely recommend

   Family run pub. Friendly. Not too busy. Limited menu but we had the roast dinner. Two items on the menu not available. But would go again

   We had a lovely meal and they were very accommodating that we only wanted sandwiches. The pub had just been taken over so the website said they did sandwiches at the weekend but on the day they did not have this on their weekend menu. They were kind enough to allow us to order sandwiches off the weekday menu. In addition, the owner even discounted the price to match the weekday offer price - this is not something at all we expected as they had already accommodated us greatly, a very welcome surprise! If you are looking for a delicious lunch, we can highly recommend some lovely sandwiches and hosted by a welcoming and generous owner.

   Absolutely fantastic meal here today and the service as always was fantastic. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the rice noodles were flavoursome. My partner said the burger was the best he had ever eaten which is a huge statement from him! It got buiser as the day went on so we waited a bit longer then usual for puddings but that is understandable due too the large number of bookings they had and it was worth the wait! It was excellent value for money and will definitely be returning soon too try more of the menu.

   Saturday evening dinner at Exeter Inn was lovely. The beef and ale pie had a shortcrust pastry and NOT a commercially produced bought in pie that can so often be found elsewhere .Accompanied by fresh veg and tasty gravy it was a substantial enjoyable meal My wife was enthusiastic about the slow cooked lamb rump. We both chose the 'Proper Sticky Toffee Pudding' intrigued about the word proper. I challenge anyone to finish it and think 'I could eat that again' but be warned, you need to have a 'sweet tooth.' We chose to have desert instead of Starter which was the right choice for us, we wouldn't have managed three courses.

   The food was fabulous - as always. I've tried a variety of dishes at The Exeter Inn and they have all been excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
