EVO has happy hour from 4-7pm daily with late night food served until 1:30am daily!
The service and food was excellent. The noise level was the loudest I have ever experienced.
All good and very happy with our experience. The food was amazing!!
Average food. The meatballs were the same as Bolognase. My husband ordered a salad and it was burnt. Super random.
We had a bad located table, and the waitress was less than friendly. The burger was good.
A fun and worthwhile experience. The food with excellent, although the lobster carbonara was a disappointment. While the lobster was very good, gnocchi was a strange choice of pasta to go with it; too heavy, doughy. I should have read the fine print that mentioned gnocchi; if I had, I never would have ordered that dish. Lighten it up with a more traditional pasta choice that you expect in a carbonara.
Unfortunately, there was a very large dinner party situated right in the middle of the restaurant and they were extremely loud, so it made our date night dinner a little disappointing. Food was good as always, although the pasta came out clumped together and I couldn't separate the individual pasta. This is the only sub par experience I've had there though.
Evo is one of our favorite spots to have dinner. The food is incredible and the wine list is wonderful. We often bring out of town guests here. You must try the baby cake!
The server and hostess were kind but the food was fairly bland. Over cooked pasta, under cooked potatoes and food was flavorless.
My first time at EVO. Took my sister and some family and friends with us. I'm a bit of a foodie...
that said, I was impressed (as we all were) with the overall experience.
Our server, Alexandra, was spot on and even brought over the manager, Scott, to answer some questions we had about the wine list.
My "go to" menu item the first time I visit a new Italian restaurant is the Bolognese if they have it on the menu. This was one of the best I've had ( pretty close to my own, I might add).
My other guests cleaned their plates of the scallops and Chili shrimp dishes. Even my granddaughter said her "noodles with parm" was great (why is that always kid's go-to Italian item??).
Anyway, this is a great place if you're looking for some authentic Italian in Scottsdale.
Went there for Happy hour, had pizza and the Risotto appetizer, both were excellent. The wine on their happy hour menu not that great, I prefer quality over quantity. Everything was great, the noise level is a bit loud. I would definitely recommend this place.
They charged us $2 each for ice in our drinks. The iron skillet lasagna was just warm. The noise level was deafening. The server was outstanding. Better Italian in a lot of places.
We enjoyed the food and the feel of the restaurant. we will try EVO again. our only issue was getting our waiter to come around. he was MIA for awhile. He was very nice once we got his attention and the place has a great wine list and cool vibe.
Salmon was absolutely delicious enjoyed the cornbread. Sliced steak was not very tender.
Very noisy and very dark. Never been to an Italian restaurant where I had to pay for bread.
Evo had gotten great reviews don Yelp so I decided to try it. My reservation was for a table for 1 person. I ended up sitting at the bar since the booth the hostess had for me sat 6. I didn't feel comfortable alone in such a large booth. It wasn't very crowded. It was Happy Hour. The bartender assigned to my section mostly ignored me except when another bartender told him to come over. I waited a good 15 minutes. I ordered food and wine. The food arrived luke warm, salad and meal were served at the same time. The bartender never checked on me or asked if I needed anything else. He was too busy polishing glasses, watching the game and talking with some other guys at the bar. Because it was happy hour, the value was fair for very average food and abysmal service. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Food was immaculate
Food was great, however it wasn’t until after we were seated that we were informed of the wait time for food. We were told it would be at least half an hour for whatever we ordered, including the appetizer breads. The wait time was disappointing and took away from the overall quality of our experience.
We had a wonderful experience at EVO! The food was delicious. The brown butter cake was outstanding.
Excellent food! Best lasagna we have ever had!!
Very loud but the food and service was amazing and delicious!
We ate here on our last night of vacation, and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time. Our server Chloe was amazing, super friendly and helpful, and we were very impressed to see the owner out greeting guests and he even brought us back to our table. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant more.
To start our server let us know the kitchen was short staffed, so ticket times were definitely long. We had to cancel our dessert order because we had a show to attend. Also, for the price the quality of the food just wasn’t great. I was so excited to try this place from reviewing the website and photos, but it definitely didn’t live up to the hype. Even with all this going on our server, who you could tell was nervous with the kitchen situation, was still very nice and provided amazing customer service under pressure.
Service was very slow but food was good
We love Evo. Bart, our waiter, is awesome!
Our server was excellent. Very attentive and I can tell he loved the place he worked at.
The food was great; a little noisy
I would recommend eating outside because of the noise level
Patio heater at our table didn’t work so it was a little chilly. Would of been nice to ask to move so we didn’t have too, which we didn’t.
There was absolutely nothing special about this place. I was really looking forward to trying it out and was disappointed. Best I can say is that it was fine - terrible wine selection by the glass. And the food is about Olive Garden quality.
It was our first time dining and we’ll definitely be back. Happy hour options were great and the pasta was phenomenal. Also loved the chocolate torte.
In from out of town. The food was good. But the service was just bizarre. Our party of five ordered drinks. They arrived one at a time five minutes apart. Same for our food. After dinner we sat for a good half hour before anyone cave back to the table to clear plates or ask about dessert. Took ten minutes more to get the dessert menu. We gave up on ordering the dessert that took a half hour to make and grabbed the check and got out. This was in a Monday. Can’t imagine how bad it is on a weekend.
The only way to dine without the din is to eat on patio, weather-permitting. We had a conversation with the manager, who is trying to fix the acoustics. We love the Happy Hour that goes till 7 and have gotten others to become fans, too. The pizza and meatballs are always a hit. Hubby loves the Burrata salad, but wish they’d bring back the version with melon. Happy Hour cocktails are a great deal.
First, our food was spectacular. Secondly, our server Jacob was amazing. He was so helpful with the menu and made us feel welcome. Would definitely return just for the fact of having him as our server!
Outdoor seating area was very cute. Good service & decent food.
I enjoyed the atmosphere but I ordered chicken piccata because I wanted a lighter meal. When it came the chicken and pasta (which I had to order on the side) was saturated in butter and oil. The calamari and the house Cabernet were both good. Unfortunately I was up half the night with heartburn.
The description of the restaurant on line and the reality did not match up. This is a local place for people to go, be casual and have a decent meal with family. Any indication of high end or a romantic setting are not correct. Definitely not for a date night and not for a dressing up event. It is the only Italian restaurant where I was not offered bread and butter/olive oil to start off the evening. My wife had the cast iron lasagna and I had the chicken parm. Both of the items were just ok. After eating, our food was taken away by the server and we were immediately brought the check without any offer of dessert or after dinner coffee. Another first for us. Just not a good experience overall.
We’ve now been to EVO twice and service was questionable both times. They come across rude and condescending. Not very attentive either. The food is good and restaurant is cool. But not a fan of the service staff.
It was a great experience with a low wait time (on a Wednesday). The server was great and gave us the choice between free shots or a dessert for our anniversary.
Best fettuccine I’ve ever had.
