EVO has happy hour from 4-7pm daily with late night food served until 1:30am daily!
Average food. Waitress was very good.
Our waitress was amazing she was very personable will definitely be back
Nice restaurant, good food and great service. Noise level approached uncomfortable. I almost walked out after entering, but once seated in the bar area I could just tolerate the noise level.
Unbeknownst to me, the restaurant is under a new chef. I drove 6 hours to eat at this restaurant after visiting it 8 months ago and loving everything about it. Fast forward to my most recent visit and everything from the food to the service was subpar. I was treated rudely, almost in a discriminating way, the noise level was beyond obnoxious and the food was basic. In a day when there are so many options for dining out, service should be the priority and this place was flat out rude. I will not be returning to this restaurant and neither will my guests.
Loved the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Our waiter was excellent! We will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to others.
We went for the wine and pizza deal and it was all delicious! Also the service was fantastic :)
Good food. Waitress got off to slow start but was okay. Wasn’t very busy so somewhat surprised about the lackadaisical service... we do like this placebut better sitting at bar... although the bar stools need replaced as they have no seat padding left...
They don’t pay attention to open table special requests so don’t bother :(
Food is good - expensive for pasta.
EVO was very good. The food was both appetizing and visually appealing. All dishes were served piping hot directly from the kitchen and seemed quite traditional! The Bolognese with freshly made pappardelle was excellent as was the Lobster Carbonara. The only downside was our server. She was "green" and not well schooled to work in an upscale Italian flair restaurant. I had asked her if the bar had any Amaro, in particular, Montenegro. She said she would ask the bartender. She came back and with no words, delivered the check. I asked once again, what did you find out about the Amaro and if no bitters perhaps lemoncello or Disoronno? She claimed they did not have anything like that and walked off. Well, this was hard for me to believe, so I got up from my table to approach the bar myself when I was met by another server. After a short mention of my interest, she said of course we do, absolutely. A few minutes later, I was enjoying the remainder of my time caressing a Montenegro.
I will return and you should absolutely have EVO on your list.
We were seated but had no server for over 10 minutes. The noise level is a little higher than other restaurants and the lighting was very dim. Overall it was a great experience. The food was very good. Once our server came around the service was a little better. I think they were a little more busy than usual for a Sunday night. I would definitely go back as the food was very good.
The service was absolutely terrible and not because it was crowded. There were many empty tables at the time we started. Very disappointing.
The fellow who brought the salads (way before the appetizer we ordered) had no idea who ordered what.
We were short one setting and the server just carrotge knife and fork in her hands not even wrapped in a napkin.
Second time here. We love this place. Food’s great, service is friendly, great value, especially during the generous happy hour, which is 4-7 p.m. seven days a week. Great find.
Brought relatively new lady friend in for dinner, obviously hoping to dazzle and impress her. Asked her on way if she had ever heard of it or eaten there. Heard of it several times but had not visited. Samples several wines on tap, yes wines on tap. Malbec and Red Blend were both very good (have wine by glass from bottle, and by bottle too). Ordered Lasagna, both of us by coincidence, and both loved it. Evening went fabulous, great time, snf text much later thanked me for the spectacular food (snd compsny but Evo had nothing to do with thst,), and I concur the food was awesome. Evo wont let you down.
Hadn't been before. Food was very good. Sat at table by bar and really difficult to be heard across the table. Would return though.
Awful service not only for ya but the tables around us as well. The food was delicious though
Wonderful experience! Highly recommend!
We were seated and 25 min after our server never showed up, they need to hire more people! Also, it was so Loud that I thought I was in a club! So we left and nobody even realized we were leaving without eating and disappointed. Definitely not coming back!
Food was amazing! I had the lobster gnocchi and highly recommend it! The meatballs as an appetizer where phenomenal as well! Service was great, our waitress was very friendly.
Lasagna baked in a cast iron skillet was excellent. Service was very good.
Great food, friendly and great service.
Met another couple here for dinner. It was our first time here and the food was fresh and tasted great. The choices are plentiful and the wine/drink list has many options. The other great part is they have happy hour specials every day even on the weekends. That’s a rare thing!
They have the best bruschetta I have ever had and great service. The only negative is it was so loud we had to shout to hear each other.
The food was delicious, but it was extremely noisy. The servers even had to yell for our party to hear them.
Great food, excellent service, reasonably priced meals. Highly recommended.
We began the night with the not so friendly host telling us our table was not ready (we were 10 early for our reservation), even though we saw several open tables. It was not a problem, but could have been done with a better attitude. Host also decided not to give us the happy hour menu even though our reservation was 30 min before happy hour ended. Our waitress was quickly accommodating and got us the happy hour drinks we wanted. Must say happy hour was not impressive in general
Once seated the wait staff were very friendly and professional. They did their best to be attentive during the busy hour. The food was all excellent, well prepared and fresh. Favorites were the lasagna and meatball starter. Wine selection was fair, not great, and high priced. Again, the food is quite good, but is also a bit overpriced.
The ambiance is what will keep me from coming back. This restaurant is very loud and poorly lit. I could barely read the menu. The noise made it difficult to communicate with our waitress who did her best to read lips. The tables were close together and it felt cramped. What should have been a nice dinner out turned into a struggle to relax with the constant sensory overload, difficulty talking to each other at our own table, and needing sign language to complete our order. Perhaps if you went at a less busy time you could enjoy the nice food this restaurant has to offer.
Evo is one of our favorite restaurants. We always have an excellent meal there. I highly recommend the mussels, meatballs, lasagna, and the black squid ink pasta seafood dish. It's also nice to have happy hour anywhere in the restaurant and till 7 pm.
Excellent food although I thought my lasagna was a bit dry. I also did not really care that the lasagna was baked in an iron pan like one of those breakfast potato dishes. Friend's pork chop meal was great. The lobster carbonara was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised it was a complete tail, not just pieces. I probably should have given the food 4 stars because of my lasagna while all other meals were 5 stars.
happy hour goes until 7pm which is a big plus. we were celebrating 2 bdays and they customized our menus and also brought out 2 complimentary desserts! Server was polite and helpful. noise level is high which is annoying when trying to talk with dinner companions at a large table. Thought most of our food was delicious, with the exception of one meal. the spicy shrimp dish was amazing and their meatballs are huge. overall we had a nice dining experience and would recommend.
Promply seated and served. Food was good, not exceptional. Good value. Pappardelle seemed to be too big and doughy for the bolognese sauce.
Food and service were excellent! Only downside was noise level which was awful, our table for 3 had us shouting to make conversation.
Ate here while on vacation! Great location, great food.
Awesome. Will come here everytime we are in Scottsdale.
My boyfriend and I were seated in a quiet corner for our Valentine's date. We appreciated the intimate atmosphere, though it seemed the waitress has a tendency to forget us. Appetizers were delicious, and wine was high-quality and well-priced. Boyfriend hated his Bourbon Berry cocktail, which the waitress recommended. Entrees were average, but portion size was large for the price. Not bad!
We started with the truffle fries which were delicious, followed by margarita pizza. Yum.
Honestly, the acoustics in the place were bad. It was like being in a loud classroom of kids. After a few minutes we decided to leave without ordering. We decided to go to the Gladly instead which is a more sutable place to have dinner as adults who don't need to be in the "scene" at a forced trendy restaurant. Sorry for the bad review, the place wasn't for me.
The food is consistently good and the service is excellent. Good wine list and a nice atmosphere.
Wow...First of all, the food...INCREDIBLE flavor-fantastic menu. Our table ordered off the happy hour menu, and the owner of the restaurant still came to our table to congratulate the bachelorette, and thank us for our business. I will go back again and again for the food, but the staff made our experience even better!
I love this restaurant, it never disappoints. Plus their skillet lasagna :*
Nice place for happy hour and social atmosphere if you're aiming for that, otherwise expect that. Staff is Young and friendly. The happy hour menu is worth it, the remainder of the menu not so much in terms of selection and price to quality. The EVO salad requires a very particular palate, or someone that will eat it out of principal of paying for it.
