   Disappointed. Braised short ribs were dry enough that we didn't finish them. We complained to the server and her response was "Oh, really?" End of story. Wouldn't go back.

   I originally looked at this restaurant because they seemed to be a farm to table type establishment but after arriving, noticed nothing special on the menu. I'm also gluten free and saw on the website that they catered to that limitation, but gluten free items were not noted on the menu. I didn't want to have to ask for a special menu so I let it go. We arrived at 12:30 expecting a brunch and lunch menu but were only offered a very limited breakfast item brunch menu. Service was very slow and it took some time to even be greeted at the door where we stood awkwardly trying to figure out if it was self seating. French fries (which another reviewer noted as a "must have" were rock hard and inedible. Bill was overcharged ("price just went up on certain items but we don't have it listed on the menu we gave you"--Really??) and then when we sent the bill back they added extra $ for an item they originally didn't charge for. We were pleasant throughout and never complained but would not recommend this restaurant.

   I came alone for dinner while on a business trip, and usually I read a book while eating. At Ev and Maddy's the food was so good I put my book down and just enjoyed the flavors. The food was simply prepared but the ingredients were high-quality and prepared and seasoned perfectly. The menu is small plates so good for sharing, and if I hadn't been on my own I would have wanted to try almost everything on the menu. The service was warm, attentive, but not intrusive. I will definitely come back again the next time I'm in town.

   The food was lovely but the portions seemed small for the cost. We ordered 3 vegetarian small plates per person, but left a bit hungry and not willing to spend more money.

   Service was good as well as food. Make sure they check you in for OT reservation. In our case they failed to do so and mark as "no show". We had to contact OT customer service to get points.

   Selection was limited for lunch. Waitress was rather inattentive after serving. She was standing behind the bar with the only other waitress, facing away from the dining area. Consequently it took quite sometime to get her attention and the check.

   While I enjoyed being able to taste many items, I found that at least 2 of the items were heavily salted (pesto wild mushrooms, turkey and the olive tapenade on the breads and spreads). They recommend 3 to 4 small plates per person which is nice for sharing so you get to sample more. My favorite was the onion jam (you get to pick 3 spreads with the bread and spreads). My friends enjoyed the fried cauliflower. I'm go again if they switch the menu but wouldn't choose the same things again and would definitely specify to go light on the salt.

   We had been at Ev and Maddy's several times prior to 8/14 including a menu change, and we've always been very happy and impressed with the food and service. However, this last time, on August 14, we were extremely disappointed. Although we had a reservation, we were totally ignored when we arrived and were made to wait without any acknowledgement (even though there were several unoccupied tables). Once seated, the waitress didn't come to our table for at least 15 minutes. We realized that she was overwhelmed as she was the only waitress serving the entire restaurant as well as the hostess. Once the waitress came to our table, we were surprised that the menu has changed again, and most disappointed that the restaurant was out of our favorite proteins, the food we came for - lamb chops and Bronzino. The bread wasn't served for another 10-15 minutes, even though we asked for it twice; and the waitress either forgot or ignored our desire to order a bottle of wine. We had to ask her again. This experience was very disappointing, but more importantly, we were embarrassed for the two guests we brought. The food was fine, but not as good as in the past.
