We had the 12 course tasting menu and the food was good but nothing spectacular. The service was where it really fell down. It seemed like we were forgotten towards the end of the meal. Other tables around us continued to receive enhancements with there tasting menu, such as props, etc. Yet we never got them. When we queried our servers they always seemed surprised but never apologetic. I would not recommend this restaurant. If you want a better gastronomic experience go to Pastel.

Nouvel emplacement en rodage. Beaucoup trop de « flafla. » inutiles. Durée du repas beaucoup trop long.

The new menu and mise en scène are outstanding. Service is personalized and impeccable. The food is really interesting and very nicely presented. As the restaurant just moved to its new digs there are some things to work on (our table had a view of the mop and kitchen garbage for instance) but nothing that ruined our evening.

This is a hard review to write but I want to alert future diners as to what to expect. I booked this restaurant because of the previous rave reviews, however, it has apparently changed its concept and now offers more of a "participatory" dining experience. We just wanted a nice dinner and did not appreciate the interactive aspect that the restaurant now offers. I won't go into too many details but suffice to say that the virtual reality headsets, hidden menus and other hocus pocus did not appeal. If you enjoy that sort of dining then this is the place for you. As for the food, we are not very adventurous eaters and couldn't find anything on the menu that appealed. I will say that other diners seemed to be having a good time and enjoying the food. The staff is trying very hard and can't be faulted for service.

This was my second time at Europia and I was impressed on both occasions. My husband and I brought our youngest and his girlfriend for a complete dining experience and we were most pleased. The service was wonderful - from the greeting to the servers to the sommelier. All very pleasant, engaging and made us feel very comfortable and that we were important. The food was delicious and wine pairing exquisite. If you are looking for a TRUE dining experience - this is the place.

Our dinner at Europea was different than our expectations, but overall a memorable experience. We approached the restaurant, only to see a handwritten note on the door that said they’d moved. We double checked the listing on opentable- they had not updated their address yet there. So we walked to the new location, very close to old. Menu was totally different than what we saw on opentable and TripAdvisor. It was ok, but for example the cotton candy is no longer served. It was a non-traditional dining experience which included lots of surprises, both culinary and various sensory experiences. Not for the non-adventurous foodie; my husband who is a meat and potato type guy left feeling unfulfilled. I do wish they had some more traditional options. Service took forever and we were never asked about drinks! I think they were still getting acclimated to their new environment. We ordered a la carte (not the 12 course dinner), and we were there for nearly 4 hours (!!!!). By the end, we were waving to ask for our check. Overall, memorable experience, lots of unique dishes, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly, but it wasn’t something we would go back to since it’s just isn’t our style but it was fun for a night! If you are an adventurous foodie and love creativity in food, you’ll love Europea. If you don’t like seafood (lots of seafood on the menu) or non-traditional menu items, you may want to pass. You will leave with an experience you’ll never forget and stories to tell your friends!

We were lucky enough to experience a fabulously unique dining experience on the first night at the restaurant’s new location. The venue was elegant and modern. The 12 course tasting menu was a food journey that was beyond any of our wildest expectations. It was more than a 5 Star dining experience. Not only was the food deliciously and impeccably prepared, but it was also presented as part of a theatrical production. The experience included a virtual reality film, a soundtrack we listened to privately via headphones, a tour of the beautiful kitchen and a gift as we ended the meal! This meal will definitely be an experience we will never forget.

Our expetation was high since we came all the way from the Philippines to Vancouver making a side trip toMontreal to try the tasting menu of Europea. I came with my son who suggested this fine dining resto. So we were moved from the original location to their newly opened location at 1065 Rue dela Montagne. Coincidentally, it was their opening night. Food was awesome as reviews would share. My favorite was the classic lobster bisque and the wagyu out of a 12-dish tasting menu. Plating and presentation of food was superb. Here comes the BUT- pushing creativity and experience to the max, there were a lot of "peripheral gimmicks" to the food presentation that either took too long to present or failed due to technical glitches (VR experience) that pushed waiting time from 2.5hrs to 5hrs. Yes, it took us 5hrs to complete a 12-dish tasting menu. The 'saves'for me -- the service led by Martin and the wine pairings! Thank you for taking us o a tour of the kitchen and seeing the tense action behind the cool and glam dining experience.

The food was disappointing, although creative with presentation. The food temperature was luke warm at best for being "fresh" and plates were clearly prepared for a while and not made to order. The macarons from out dessert course was stale! I love macarons so that was a major disappointment. Also the cotton candy on our dessert tree was store bought and not house made, that is not something I expected from a high end restaurant, but I do not consider this as apart of my overall review, just a comment.

The service was poor, they are never around except to serve food and occasionally fill water. But when you're in need they are not there, you would have to wait 15min before a waitress will come see you because that's when you're roughly done your course. They served cold, hard, chewy bread with COLD butter that was not spreadable. When asked for softer butter they say that they don't have any and even if they take it out of the fridge it wouldn't warm up to be soft. This comment was appalling, I was expected to eat my bread with HARD butter because the restaurant wasn't able to upkeep with demand and did not communicate this with the customer prior to serving the butter and explaining the issue.

Plates were not clean for a high end restaurant, and they only cleaned our table of crumbs at the end of our meal (what's the point?)

I don't understand why it has such high ratings, I've done many tastings and this is the worst in terms of taste and service. Will not come back or recommend, definitely will tell others to stay away.

Have to be honest. I have done large groups here several times. This time was not a five star experience. Typically it is. We had three guests who were ill the next morning, one very much so. Can't point to why they were ill, but something must have been up with some portion of the dinner. MORE IMPORTANTLY, I was surprised when the primary server came over and advise I ordered a tasting menu. I did not. Since I was with a very important client I chose not to make a scene. I should have. With the wine list the primary server advised he was "staying within the pricing I had suggested". These prices were 250 -400 per bottle Canadian. I had not made that selection but again, I did not want to compromise the evening by disagreeing with the Server in front of my client. All and all, it was not a good evening.
