Euno Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Went to Euno prior to a sporting event; excellent service and attention without being bothersome. Richard was our host/server and was outstanding. He was mindful of our plans and made sure we stayed on schedule. He offered suggestions from drinks to dinner and was spot on with his choices. I would absolutely return to Euno for an enjoyable evening.
I went to Euno Ristorante on a quiet weekday evening. There was an unexpected blizzard so travel to the North End meant I really wanted to get to this far away gem.
The food was incredible - I had the Osso Bucco and my friend, a vegetarian, had the Risotto. The food melted in your mouth. It was incredible. We were also celebrating some work achievements, the wine list at Euno is remarkable. They have several high end bottles if that is in your budget, but even the wines by the glass are DOCG (which I always take care to note).
In addition, the general manager Rich waited on us himself. He is very proactive (I've dined at Euno several time) - you can tell he is incredible passionate about the high caliber food and service.
The food was substandard for the N. End of Boston.... The service was horrific. We waited and waited while our server shared all the details of his divorce with another table....our drinks and appetizers arrived separately....each time after a substantial wait time. The server's excuse was that they were training new staff....(we were there on a Saturday night). Who trains new staff on a Saturday night? Restaurant Management 101??? When I told the server to make sure that after the way the drinks and apps. were delivered that he make sure the entrees were served together. The entrees did come out together...but while my companions was warm...mine was cold. The topper...when the check arrived..there was no check in the folder!!
Had an excellent dining experience at Euno. Have eaten at many places in the North End over the years and often been disappointed for one reason or another. We had a lovely, romantic dinner at Euno and it is a pleasure to be somewhere where everyone takes such evident pride in all aspects of their restaurant.
Walked in @ 7:00 PM after a long day at a trade show. Walked out around Midnight having had a tremendous dining experience and evening. Dino was great and kept us in fine wine and unbelievable food throughout the whole evening. I will return to Euno every time I am in Boston. One of the best meals/times I have had.
Terrible all around experience & management did not care. Made a reservation for important business dinner for 10. I was told we would be in a private room. We showed up and they only had a table for six. There was no room to make more so we squished. Restaurant was too loud, food was too slow, meat was chewy, I had to request the waiter take a drink order. I asked the matre d what happened to my reservation and he rudely dismissed me. Overpriced bad food and awful service.
Never fails...I have been to every restaurant in the North End at least a few times as I go out for dinner often but none compare to how Euno consistently puts together great food, service, ambiance, and location every time. Best North End restaurant for many reasons.
Some menu items were better than others. Zuppa di pesce was the best dish ordered. The salmon dish was well prepared, but came with no sauce and too small of portions on the accompanying sides. The puttanesca sauce was amateur and did not come together in a palettable way - the garlic was undercooked & dominated, too many capers and an overbundance of olives that were kept mostly whole. The pasta itself, though, was cooked perfectly "al dente". I tasted the lobster ravioli & did not like it. Call me a purist, but fish in a creamy sauce mostly doesn't work. The appetizers were decent, but they might try a new twist on the caprese salad for the winter months by roasting the bland tomatoes & draw out their hidden flavors.
Went for a special trip to Boston from NH for a Valentines dinner only to be disappointed by the food. The reviews I read were motivation to go. We were VERY disappointed with the food. Our appetizer and wine were decent but our entree and dessert left us feeling sad and feeling as though we made a poor choice. Another couple attempted to come in to be seated and were turned away due to the late hour and we couldn't help but feel this saved them from an unappetizing meal but also saved them money. Our server was wonderful and that's all that was wonderful about it besides my superb company. Will not go again, ever.
We had an early 1000 point table reservation, so the restaurant was really quiet when we got there. Despite that, they sat us right next to the front door, so we were freezing the entire time (myself and the woman dining next to me had our coats on by the time dinner arrived). Our waiter was hovering over us in the beginning, but once the restaurant got crowded, he essentially ignored us. He never asked if we wanted another drink (we would have), whether or not we wanted dessert or coffee (which we probably would have), and my husband had to find the manager to get our check after being ignored for almost 20 minutes. Despite that, the waiter never over to us to apologize or make sure our food was ok. Very disappointing experience.
Amazing choice in the North End. Quiet, casual place but the food knocks it out of the park! Recommend that diners eat family style and share all delicious options. Don't miss the Dolce Sausage Euno. And pay close attention to the daily specials; we have yet to be disappointed with the fresh, creative dishes presented. This was our third visit, and each time it gets better and better. And do not hesitate to ask for a wine recommendation... the owner has a fantastic cellar featuring new and old world vintages. A true dining pleasure.
We were greeted at the door and taken to our table as soon as we arrived for our reservation. The server was very attentive, came and gave us the list of specials. The appetizers and meals were delicious! My husband ordered the pork special with goat cheese and it was the tastiest dish indeed, tender, juicy and full of flavor. I ordered the veal, also very tender and flavorful. We highly recommend this restaurant, it felt like we were dining somewhere in Italy.
Euno was excellent! All four of our party were very pleased with the service and our meals. The Veal chop was very flavorful and the meat fell off the bone. The Steak was very good. Appetizers of calamari and a short rib over polenta were delicious and enough for the table to share. We all agreed that we would return to Euno!
Beautiful Restaurant, Appetizers were wonderful. Entrees less so. Biggest disappointment was the bill, a party of 4 we all ordered the special drink. It was a grape martini. The drink was ok but when we got the bill it was $16 each. This restaurant is not the Four Seasons or the Ritz. It left a bad taste in all of us.
From the curtain at the door to keep out the cold I felt warmly welcomed. Our waiter, Dino, was delightful, setting the tone for a relaxed fun birthday dinner. I went with the shark special and was not disappointed. Portions were generous, so I also enjoyed my entre for lunch the next day. The rest of our party enjoyed their pasta dishes. The salads were fresh and delicious. The wine was excellent.
I had dinner with the family to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. WOW. We loved the restaurant. Food, music (nothing better than Frank Sinatra), wait staff, ambiance. I am putting Euno on my rotation. The only thing that did not compare to the food was the bread. But who needs bread when the food is great.
My wife and I have been to over 30 of the Hanover/Salem St restaurants in the past 20 years. Euno's has always been the most enjoyable. Richard and Dino make every effort to insure your satisfaction. The food is superb, the presentation is cuisine magazine perfect, but the service makes them stand out from their competition. Go, indulge, enjoy, and remember.
Euno was quiet for a Friday in the North End. Our waiter seemed knowledgeable of the specials, but was hard to find after his initial greeting. We waited through the salad course to get our glasses of wine we ordered and had to remind them to bring the drinks over. My salmon was good but rather salty and my boyfriend's steak was rather overcooked. Couldn't find a waiter to express our displeasure to. When we were finishing up our meal a group walked in to be seated and were abruptly told that the restaurant was closed (at 9pm!) because it was too slow. Even then, we had a hard time getting our check. Maybe they were just having an off night but I don't think we'll be giving them a second chance.
Took a chance booking based on some of the reviews I read, however, I couldn't be happier with our experience. It was exactly what I had hoped it would be. The downstairs dining area is rustic and romantic, the food and wine were outstanding as was the service. Dino was a wonderful and engaging host/server. I would dine here again in a heartbeat. The caprese salad and artichoke appetizers were delicious; we had specials from the daily list which were perfectly cooked. I had ribeye and my husband had tuna; the sides were also prepared expertly. Overall, I had a meal that was cooked exactly how I would have cooked it -- well seasoned, perfect temp, nice wine pairing. Excellent.
A charming North End restaurant, which made a lovely setting for a birthday dinner. The food was a little bit spotty, as some of us liked our entrees better than others, but they arranged for a birthday cake without a lot of advance notice and took excellent care of us!
This wasn't our first visit to Euno, and it won't be our last. We both ordered specials, my wife had fish - the hake was perfectly cooked, flaky and very flavorful. I had a double veal chop - grilled to perfection - the best veal chop I have had. All in all an outstanding experience.
