Creole / Cajun / Southern
Named affectionately after executive chef Drake Leonards’ South Louisiana hometown, Eunice offers a modern Cajun-Creole brasserie-style menu inspired by the flavors of his childhood.

The seasonally-inspired menus marry European influences with the ingredients and foodways of the Gulf Coast; items include a full raw bar featuring Royal Red Shrimp, Blue Crab, and oysters from the coasts of Louisiana and Texas; roasted seafood, such as Shellfish Stuffed Oysters; and more substantial dishes such as New Orleans Style Gumbo, Crispy Bandera Quail, Texas Redfish Courtbouillon, and Slow Roasted Cochon de Lait. Seasonal tarts, pies and house-spun ice creams complete the meal, and the restaurant boasts extensive beer and wine lists alongside a seasonally-curated cocktail menu.

Very limited luncheon menu - very poor wine list by the glass. Only 5 red wines and only one of each. Perhaps we should have looked at the wine list or the server could have suggested we do that. Try having a few gluten free items. Second time there = very disapponted the short ribs are not on the luncheon menu.

The chicken liver mousse was divine--with strawberries and bread to die for. Also the raw oysters, shrimp, hearth roasted oysters, broccolini, and alot of others nicely priced dishes. Loved it! A perfect Valentine restaurant to enjoy with my Valentine. Valet parking is "free," sort of. Just leave a tip.

Let’s just start by saying our server Scott was absolutely amazing! From the moment we got there we were a bunch of high strung women that had a rough day. He was patient, explained everything, had personality, was patient and made great recommendations. Now let’s talk about the good stuff-food. We started off with a sampling of all the oysters and yeasss soooo so good. We also had the boudin another amazing snack. For dinner and I apologize we only reviewed one main course but we were all in the mood for the crab drum over the cauliflower purée. Super tasty OMG! I can’t wait to go back and try the 44 beef cause that was calling my name too.

The menu described a salad with blue cheese but the salad had something else. The waitress told us after the fact the kitchen had substituted ingredients. The salad greens had a lot of stems too.

The atmosphere is awesome however that can not make up for the lackluster service. It was a barely anyone is the place, but our food ( party of 4 ) took at least an hour. We ordered cocktails as soon as we sat down and those took about 20 min. We are weekly brunch goers but will not return.

My sister and I enjoyed our experience at Eunice. Our waiter was very kind and helpful. The oysters, tuna, and brussel sprouts were delicious. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Great place for a date or dinner with friends. I will be returning to Eunice.

The Steak Frites is great...a perfectly cooked, tender hanger steak topped with a chimichurri sauce with wonderfully seasoned fries. The bread pudding is decadent and huge. The cocktails are tasty and a great bargain at happy hour (half price).

The one negative is the valet parking. If you come for lunch, be prepared to wait 10-30 minutes for your car upon departure (because they have to go up several floors in the parking garage to retrieve the cars). I think they're trying to figure something out but pad your schedule to account for it).

Other than that, it's a lovely place for lunch, dinner or happy hour; beautifully decorated, nice ambiance and friendly staff.

Eunice is a complicated situation. Our server was very responsive, the cocktails and gumbo were excellent. The negatives were overly salty fried shrimp in the shrimp/crab etouffe and a very loud restaurant. This is an OK restaurant, but Houston has plenty that are more than OK.

food was fantastic - raw oysters, liver mousse, gulf drum, and beet salad. The service was off a bit. We were not in a hurry, but the raw oysters took a long time (they arrived quickly once we reminded the waiter we had ordered them), and a couple of times we needed to find the waiter to order (drinks, then later entrees). Overall the food was great and the decor was nice. We'll be back for the happy hour - hopefully to sit outside during the nice Spring time weather under the trees.

Our second visit was just as amazing as the first. Excellent red shrimp appetizer, backed oysters, and cocktails. They have a very reasonably priced Loire wine that was great with the gumbo. Hard to choose between the lemon ice box pie and the bread pudding. For us, it is worth the drive from San Antonio and a lot closer than New Orleans. Thanks.

Eunice is a stylish space (though a bit noisy). The food was delicious--an updated take on Cajun/Creole dishes. The raw oysters were terrific, toothsome and with balanced salinity. BBQ lobster with toast was a standout starter--just fantastic and the sauce was spoonably tasty. We had etouffee and a fish dish; both very good but not quite as fantastic as the oysters and lobster. Lemon ice box pie was quite good with a particularly notable graham cracker crust. The wine list is good, though a bit high for the selections; service was prompt and courteous. We'll be back.

It was our Anniversary and I grew up in Lafayette with friends from Eunice! Couldn’t wait to try it out.

My only let down were the “roasted” oysters. I dont like raw and these tasted raw to me with breaded topping on them. The topping was great but probably wouldn’t order again.

All in all it was great! Will be back!

The food is pretty good. The crab appetizer was just ok and we didn’t care for the Brussel sprouts prepared with too much sauce. We had the gulf fish main, it was really good and the roasted chicken nothing special but pretty good.
