Euclid Hall is the third restaurant from the team of Jennifer Jasinski and Beth Gruitch, owners of the award winning Rioja and Bistro Vendôme on Denver’s historic Larimer Square. Located in Euclid Hall, an 1883 building that once housed the venerable Soapy Smith's bar, this American tavern features high quality and innovative pub food from around the world including housemade sausages, poutines and schnitzels. After considering many restaurants for a holiday dinner with friends, we decided to go to Euclid Hall after dining there many times previously & enjoying it. It seems like the menu hasn’t changed since we’d been there 4 years ago! It was incredibly loud & we could barely hear each other across the table. My chicken and waffles was very overdone & boring. My friend had the special, which was a tomahawk pork chop and was too fatty to eat. My husband also found a baggy in the bathroom you could tell was drug paraphernalia. It seemed like this restaurant is just kind of stuck in a rut & with so many new places opening in Denver, we’re not eager to visit it again.
I booked a table for a business meeting because we were attending an event afterwards that was located close by. I'm not from Denver so I booked a table via OpenTable without having been there before. Later I also got a recommendation for Euclid Hall by a local contact so I was looking forward to the lunch.
I liked the food but I didn't like the atmosphere of the restaurant - it was a cold day and it was freezing inside Euclid Hall.
The food and drinks were amazing! Unfortunately, our server was less than enthusiastic. Bummer for him...our group is usually an easy upsell for any recommendations, shared plates, drinks, etc. I'd go back, but fingers crossed that I got a server who was actually interested in engaging.
Not a great place for families with small children and picky eaters. To be fair I would have known this if I had done more research. Very eclectic menu, if you are looking for a different experience. But wasn't really what we were expecting for a family dinner. My fault, not theirs.
While a touch on the noisy side, dinner here is a welcome night out and a fun alternative to a stuffy restaurant for a business meal. We had a small group of business associates who enjoy a fun night out.
Our service was fantastic, from the hostess to the food runners and our hard working server.
The good is creative yet accessible, with options for every palate. The beer selection is substantial. The pickles and sausages and mustards are made in-house - do not miss!
It's very fun to order a ton of items to share and split - though sadly we didn't have room for dessert.
Don't expect a quiet, white tablecloth, joint. But the service and food are fantastic. It's a must-do every time I'm in Denver, and it never disappoints.
We were visiting from out of town on a business trip and Euclid Hall was a recommendation from friends who had traveled to Denver in the past. Euclid is a fun, casual gastropub with an exceptionally good and creative menu. The Chef put his own spin on classic favorites like poutine, roasted cauliflower, and home-made sausage. To top it all off, we couldn't believe what a great value it was- having sampled multiple cocktails off of their handcrafted cocktail list, ordering virtually everything on the menu without abandon, and topping it all off with dessert. A must try!
Euclid Hall remains one of our favorite restaurants in Denver. The ambiance is cool, the food is excellent, and the beer list is diverse. The poutines are hands-down our go-to favorite, but we have never had anything from the menu that we didn't like (honorable mention goes to the chicken sandwich, house-made pickles, and the sausage sampler). Service is always good, and the food is affordable for the quality. We love bringing visitors here!
The drinks are pretty good in terms of cocktail options and beer offerings. The food is tough because there are not many options for healthy or vegetarian eaters. It is hard to believe a restaurant in Denver (or anywhere) offers foie gras. Nice atmosphere for drinks and celebrations- open, clean. Get drinks here then eat elsewhere.
My daughter and I came to Euclid Hall two years ago. We were seated upstairs and the food was very good. So, this is our second visit with a much larger group of people (family and extended family). We were seated downstairs and, honestly, the noise level was so high that it was a little ridiculous. You could hardly hear the person sitting right next to you and we were in a rather cozy spot. The downstairs has a different decor than upstairs and it's attractive with all the dark woods but it's just too noisy. The food was just as good as the last time (with the exception of the Blondie that was too sweet.)
Great service!! Always on point. Food is a really good but limited to heavier fair. Brats, poutine, cheese curds etc, so beware if you are looking to eat on the lighter side. Good value too. Good ambience in a really beautiful casual space. I little on the load size. Fun place and defiantly worth a try.
We came for the cheese curds. The waitress was filled with great energy and attentive, but not hovery. Overall we were there for about 30 mins. Some of the menu items on OpenTable's menu were no longer available there, like the Po Boy Sandwich so we left after a round of beer and the curds. No harm, cute place especially if you love the meats.
