Etsu is a Japanese izakaya which focuses on local amazing produce in our dishes which are designed to be shared amongst friends. We have one of the largest Japanese whisky collections on our back bar which we recommend served over hand cut ice or try one of our sakes or Japanese tap beers. Our sashimi is the freshest around and our fave place to sit is at the dining bar. Kanpaii!!

This restaurant is sensational. It never fails. The food is amazing. The Gin Garden cocktail is a gift from God. Lachlan was an our waiter and he was so attentive and recommended some excellent dishes and wine. Overall it was a very enjoyable night and I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.

Excellent as always!! And our server was very attentive - recognising that we had dined there before and what allergies we have. It meant a lot :) Definitely can’t recommend this place enough!!

Once again Etsu was phenomenal! We have been coming for over 6 years now and not once have we said that the food and service wasn’t exceptional. We always take our out of town friends for dinner as we know they will love it as much as we do. They keep the menu updated and are always adding new things to blow your mind. I recommend Etsu to anyone who wants a night out to remember with exquisite food and service!

My favourite GC restaurant! The food is superb, especially the Miso Toothefish, and prawn and lobster gyoza. Joze was a wonderful waiter with the right amount of attentiveness and love the vibe of Etsu. Thank you again for an amazing dinner :-)

The food was nothing short of sublime; each dish was thoughtfully presented and bursting with flavour. We explored a range of items on the menu and were consistently impressed by the balance, creativity, and quality of the ingredients. The drinks were equally memorable. From the carefully curated wine selection to the premium gin offerings, everything was on point. A particular highlight was the complimentary shots we were given — unlike anything we’ve had before. The unique combination of a bold shot followed by a refreshingly tasty crushed ice chaser was a sensory delight that left us all talking. A special mention must go to our waiter, Lachy, whose service elevated the entire experience. Warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, he struck the perfect balance of professionalism and personality. His recommendations were spot on, and his energy really added to the evening. Recommend trying here, although it’s quite expensive it’s worth it for the delicious food. Fave dishes were the Wagyu sando, truffle Wagyu gyoza, land and sea sushi, ponzu oysters & salmon tacos. Staff are busy and attentive, giving great recommendations to try and offering new menu items. Will be back again.
