   Never disappoints, food is delicious and service is outstanding. Been twice this week and so consistent. Highly recommend

   Best Japanese. Every dish was delicious. We have been twice now. So much less expensive than what we expected as well.

   Amazing place. The food was fantastic, we went for the set menu because we couldn’t decide and it delivered. Service was also exceptional.

   Etsu Izakaya continues to be one of my absolute go-to spots for Japanese dining. As always, the food and service were impeccable. The team are friendly and attentive without being overbearing, creating a relaxed yet refined dining experience every time. Tonight’s standout was the crispy rice and scallop with finger lime, ponzu, and avocado – absolutely divine. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and every dish we ordered was flawless. The hamachi carpaccio, my usual favourite, did not disappoint and remains a must-order every visit. The Easter cocktail menu was also a real highlight. I tried a couple of the cocktails on offer and the Easter Egg cocktail was a standout – absolutely moreish, I ended up having two! Their cocktails are always on point, and this one was a wonderful surprise. To finish, we shared the yuzu cheesecake – the perfect balance of tart and sweet, and a beautiful way to round off the meal. The ambience at Etsu is uniquely its own – moody, intimate, and buzzing with good energy. It’s the ideal place for a Friday or Saturday night out. I can’t recommend it highly enough – if you get the chance to dine here, take it.

   We chose a set menu, which was delicious, but everything arrived way too quickly. We felt it was too rushed and our special anniversary night ended way too soon
