Ethos - Gallery Ratings and Reviews
We had to wait a few minutes for a table even with a late reservation. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. They play loud Greek music for the many birthdays being celebrated here. But that just adds to the party atmosphere...and the noise! Expect it to be loud. But the food was great and the servers are authentic. There are also quite a few tables where couples can sit side by side making the restaurant great for dates.
I have been dying to try this place for 2 years or so- I wish I had stepped in sooner! Food was great, as was the service. Happy to have found this place! Small, separate bar area allows for a quick drink and bite, or you can sit down and enjoy dinner in the dining area. Staff was extremely attentive and they provided a dessert on the house. Will definitely be back.
One of my go-to places for work functions or when visitors are in Town. The Food never disappoints. I need to find out the name of one of the servers who is consistently grumpy, or comes across that way. Either that, or avoid his section.
My favorites are the seafood, the Ethos speciality. The seseme crusted Tuna and the Langoustines. Notable amongst lots of good choices.
PASS ON THIS!!!!!!I've been to this restaurant a couple of times and food was great! Not sure what happened lately because my experience was just HORRIFIC, I wish I can give it 0 stars. If the food is worth it, I am willing to pay - however to pay $700 for COLD dishes, hair on dishes and RUDE staff is completely Embarrassing.
I called over 10 times to speak to a manager and left voicemails all I keep getting is either no reply or a waiter saying there is no manager here today. Least you can do for a person that paid $700 is callback and say SORRY- callbacks are free.
The food was fantastic. It was quite expensive so was glad the food stood up to the test. Our waiter was friendly however forgot an entree and also didn’t listen to our drink requests and keep bringing the same drink even though we changed wines three times ... he brought the same drink each time. At first we thought because he might have come recently from Greece as his weird accent implied then heard him and the other staff talking in perfect American accents..hence why it seemed like a weird accent.. it was all an act. Everyone there put an accent on. Funny although not funny the food and drinks were a miss when ordered . Overall a great night out and great food. Would lose the fake accents.
after being told our food would take 30 to prepare it arrived in 5 overcooked. those who ordered a salad as a meal had it placed in the middle of the table as an appetizer. waitstaff was clearly rushing us to leave and tried to take our plates twice before finishing even tho our utensils were still open. won’t be returning.
I love the simply grilled fish at Ethos. It is tasty and nicely prepared. The menu offers a lot of choices. When we dined there several people celebrated birthdays. They turned the lights off and the waiters came out to lively music with dessert decorated with sparklers. This was a lovely presentation.
We went to celebrate a birthday. The food was great and plentiful. They do a super birthday celebration. When it is time for dessert, the lights go out and the music gets loud. In come the waiters with sparklers. Everyone in the restaurant is focused on the birthday person , clapping and singing. Great idea!!
I have always loved this restaurant. The food great, early in the evening it’s quiet. Until this last time, we sent our leftovers to be packed for takeaway, my wife went to the ladies room and saw one of the staff eat part of her order. When I confronted the head waiter he said “Impossible!” But apparently not when my wife told him what she had seen. He sent us home with a new order and did vaguely apologize. I consider eating, cooking and the profession of food service to be a high order endeavor. One requiring mutual respect. This was a gross violation of that compact between guest and host. I am deeply disappointed and disgusted.
