Etch Ratings and Reviews
Food was amazing. The best dining experience I have had in Nashville! Duck tart, squid and shrimp salad, lamb, scallops, butternut squash, and the olive oil almond cake were so delicious! Service was wonderful. Knowledgeable and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Incredible flavours and presentation! Each dish was delicious and unique. Start with the schmaltz! A lovely start to the meal. Tuna ceviche was excellent and so so Fresh. Portions were fairly generous, a lovely surprise.
End with the homemade ice cream. An excellent find!
One of the best meals I have had in a long time! The service was exceptional and the food superb! The decor is cool and warm at the same time! We had the etch salad, cauliflower appetizer, crispy potato salad, venison, tuna, scallops, filet! Everything was awesome! We went back for lunch! Can’t wait to go back to Nashville just so we can eat there!
Etch was nice, and the food was very good, but nothing stood out as extravagant or a Wow factor to me. I went on a recommendation, so I admit I expected a lot. The service was impeccable and outstanding, and the food combinations were very impressive, though not quite as tasty as I was expecting. I had the lamb, recommended by the waitperson, who did very well getting us to our show on time. It was all very nice, though a little pretentious. So If you have a lot of money to spend and want to impress someone in downtown Nashville, by all means go to Etch. But If you're looking for something unique maybe keep looking.
This was our third time to try Etch. Nothing has really changed. The bartender tends to put simple syrup in everything and bar is missing several necessary items.
Food is do busy with so many ingredients, and has too much Mediterranean influence for my tastes. Some may really like this, though
We ended up ordering a couple of rounds of different drinks and appetizers from their brand new menu, but could not find anything we wanted from the mains.
Etch is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. Deb Paquette is absolutely crazy in the best possible way. Her creativity and use if flavors and ingredients is unique and sets her apart. I had a friend visiting from New York who was blown away. I will always celebrate all of life’s highs at Etch.
We really loved our experience here - the complexity of flavors was absolutely amazing. Loved the venison, and my husband got the special which was tuna with short ribs. We also got the duck and cauliflower appetizers - both good, but not nearly as good as our meals. Great wine list
Etch is one of our favorite places near all the venues in Downtown Nashville and we dine there regularly. The food is delicious and the table service is always very good. However, the kitchen isn’t able to handle both the dining room and large parties efficiently. We waited over 30 minutes for our salad after finishing our appetizer as we watched food be taken to the private dining room. Our waiter reported to us often and tried to get our salad sooner but was unsuccessful. We had to eat our entree much more quickly than we would have liked in order to get to a performance on time. We have had this same experience before so, when we dine at Etch, we allow extra time and hope they don’t have a large party to serve while we are there. Be aware of this when you plan to dine there.
We had a business meeting over lunch at Etch. This was the first time any of us had been there, and none of us were particular fans of Asian/Indian food or spices. However, the food and flavors were excellent. We had the roasted cauliflower appetizer (fabulous!), cashew chicken, the tuna salad and the Springer farms chicken. Everything was beautifully spiced and cooked. The service was knowledgeable and helpful. You will enjoy the low key vibe in this nice but not pretentious place. Nice size bar, too. Very good.
Etch was fabulous! We sat at the bar for an early lunch and had "the new guy" for our waiter. He was great! We loved the cauliflower that we had for an appitizer. I would say it was he best thing on the menu that we tried. Yum yum. The grilled cheese was super good as was he Indian cashew chicken. We finished with the apple tart and it did not disappoint! Thanks!!!
I loved this restaurant. The presentation, preparation and overall taste was amazing. The service was impeccable.. I would recommend this restaurant to discerning people who are appreciative of the components that go into the final product. It was fairly expensive but worth the money.
Our favorite dinner -- among many excellent meals -- in Nashville. Creative and DELICIOUS!!! Every detail was perfect -- and so many details to rethink the next day as we rehashed the fabulous experience. Such interesting "this with that" options. Love, love, love the roasted cauliflower! Never thought I would go on and on about a vegetable appetizer!! Very welcoming to our celiac who must eat gluten free.
I am a frequent diner at this restaurant. Had two friends in town both of whom are serious about eating. They wanted to try Etch. How they heard about it I do not know. I made the reservation
They confirmed what my consistent evaluations have been, i.e. excellently prepared imaginative food that is professionally served.
As an aside I am a wine lover. Even though they have an award winning wine list I always bring an older bottle in with me from my cellar (after asking permission to do so, of course). I did on this occasion. The entire wait staff is well versed in opening and serving older wines. An added reason for patronizing this restaurant.
