Here for the weekend and read about the great food at Etch. The ambience and wait staff were every bit as, if not better than the food!!

Really cool and inventive menu, everyone in our group was very impressed with the food and the waitress was wonderful. They also were able to seat us even though we had to cancel our earlier reservation (swung by hoping to get lucky). Highly recommend!

This was our third time to try Etch. Nothing has really changed. The bartender tends to put simple syrup in everything and bar is missing several necessary items.
Food is do busy with so many ingredients, and has too much Mediterranean influence for my tastes. Some may really like this, though
We ended up ordering a couple of rounds of different drinks and appetizers from their brand new menu, but could not find anything we wanted from the mains.

Etch is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. Deb Paquette is absolutely crazy in the best possible way. Her creativity and use if flavors and ingredients is unique and sets her apart. I had a friend visiting from New York who was blown away. I will always celebrate all of life’s highs at Etch.

This place never disappoints. Great staff, great food, great wine list. I love that the food is not "the same old flavor combinations" that so many other restaurants stick to. A must go to place if in Nashville!

Etch is one of our favorite places near all the venues in Downtown Nashville and we dine there regularly. The food is delicious and the table service is always very good. However, the kitchen isn’t able to handle both the dining room and large parties efficiently. We waited over 30 minutes for our salad after finishing our appetizer as we watched food be taken to the private dining room. Our waiter reported to us often and tried to get our salad sooner but was unsuccessful. We had to eat our entree much more quickly than we would have liked in order to get to a performance on time. We have had this same experience before so, when we dine at Etch, we allow extra time and hope they don’t have a large party to serve while we are there. Be aware of this when you plan to dine there.

We had a business meeting over lunch at Etch. This was the first time any of us had been there, and none of us were particular fans of Asian/Indian food or spices. However, the food and flavors were excellent. We had the roasted cauliflower appetizer (fabulous!), cashew chicken, the tuna salad and the Springer farms chicken. Everything was beautifully spiced and cooked. The service was knowledgeable and helpful. You will enjoy the low key vibe in this nice but not pretentious place. Nice size bar, too. Very good.

Etch was fabulous! We sat at the bar for an early lunch and had "the new guy" for our waiter. He was great! We loved the cauliflower that we had for an appitizer. I would say it was he best thing on the menu that we tried. Yum yum. The grilled cheese was super good as was he Indian cashew chicken. We finished with the apple tart and it did not disappoint! Thanks!!!

Our favorite dinner -- among many excellent meals -- in Nashville. Creative and DELICIOUS!!! Every detail was perfect -- and so many details to rethink the next day as we rehashed the fabulous experience. Such interesting "this with that" options. Love, love, love the roasted cauliflower! Never thought I would go on and on about a vegetable appetizer!! Very welcoming to our celiac who must eat gluten free.

I am a frequent diner at this restaurant. Had two friends in town both of whom are serious about eating. They wanted to try Etch. How they heard about it I do not know. I made the reservation
They confirmed what my consistent evaluations have been, i.e. excellently prepared imaginative food that is professionally served.
As an aside I am a wine lover. Even though they have an award winning wine list I always bring an older bottle in with me from my cellar (after asking permission to do so, of course). I did on this occasion. The entire wait staff is well versed in opening and serving older wines. An added reason for patronizing this restaurant.

Our party of 3 arrived at Etch right on time for our 8:45 reservation and were seated promptly at a comfortable table in the middle of the full restaurant. Our waiter, Ed, came over right away to introduce himself, pour water, and take drink orders. He had good suggestions for wine, beer, and cocktails, and brought the drinks pretty soon after. He had thorough knowledge of the menu and was able answer all our questions. Our roasted cauliflower appetizer was really tasty, and the filet dishes two of us ordered, as well as the lamb chops, were both perfectly prepared. Btw, the ancho tomato sauce served with the filet was so good we asked Ed for an additional ramekin of it, which he delivered right away. Sides were excellent. The desserts were equally excellent (we got the olive oil almond cake and chocolate hazelnut mousse).

Dining at Etch was a true pleasure from beginning to end. The service was great, the food was perfectly prepared and presented, and the general atmosphere was vibrant yet comfortable. We will definitely be back next time we're in Nashville!

I ordered the duck, which was very bland very little flavor I regretted that and wish I ordered the lamb chop which looked delicious but the waitress said to go for the duck because I told her I never had duck before and on the plate it looked like filet mignon. Husband was brought the wrong entree but the wait staff was extremely apologetic for the mistake and made up for it. We just didn't think the food was that tasty I would say it was average for the price. We come from NY area where the food is outstanding so we have alot to compare it too. Overall, lovely atmosphere, extremely nice wait staff all around. Just found food to taste average.
