Featuring an array of global flavors and decadent desserts by Chef Deb Paquette and Pastry Chef Megan Williams, Etch is located in the ground floor of the Encore tower in Nashville's SoBro district. The restaurant is equipped with two private dining rooms, a full bar and an open kitchen with bar-style seating, allowing guests to interact with Deb and her kitchen. Lunch and dinner are available Monday-Friday, as well as dinner on Saturday.

In her 13 years as Chef/Owner of Zola, Deb received accolades for Nashville's best chef and Nashville's best restaurant multiple times. Nashville restaurants are many, but Etch sets itself apart with bold flavors and colorful presentations.

The cuisine at Etch is complemented by our comprehensive wine list, featuring an extensive collection of wines from around the world. Guests can also enjoy our modern take on classic cocktails, along with a variety of eclectic beers and regional drafts.

Private Dining

Etch offers two private dining rooms for meetings, receptions and special events. The Intermezzo Room is an intimate, elegant space with seating for 12; the Encore Room is an expansive space with a private bar, offering seating for 35 or standing room for 50. Rooms are available for lunch & dinner.

Best service in Nashville! The venison was delicious, the meatballs where delicious, the squid and shrimp bruschetta was amazing. All in all one of the best in Nashville. Ohh and the bar tender knows how to make a great old fashioned... Though they are known for there wine list!

We are so glad that we chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner while visiting Nashville. Anthony was a great bartender - very classy and attentive when we needed attention.

Cocktails and starters (cheese board with honey) at the bar were excellent followed by a great meal. We split the lamb meatballs - great choice. Desert was wonderful, too.

Excellent all around.

Etch is our go-to restaurant. Always interesting menu. Food is great and plated well thought out. Our server was friendly and attentive when needed. He is originally from the Midwest and that explains it all.

Food was delicious. The homemade sorbet was one of my favorites. We enjoyed cocktails and light meals. Service was outstanding. I enjoyed sitting at counter and viewing the open kitchen.

This is a fantastic restaurant with a great location. The food and service were spectacular. We were seated in the back so it was really quiet but it was quite lively towards the front of the restaurant. The food was outstanding -the combination of flavors was a delight to the palate. Definitely a foodie experience. Our server Matt was fantastic. He was attentive without being too intrusive. Overall this was a great dining experience.

This place was a great find. We were in Nashville for a week and this was definitely the best meal we had. The server we had "Ed" was very knowledgeable of the menu and explained everything in detail. We started with the arugula salad and it was delicious. My wife ordered the filet mignon and it was prepared to perfection medium rare on the inside with a nice sear on the outside. I ordered the tile fish special. The way the fish was seasoned made the dish. I can't remember exactly how Ed said it was prepared but it was delicious. The desert is something you want to leave room for. The combination of fresh pastry and fresh ice cream makes a great combination. Everything served there is fresh and you can taste the difference.
We will definitely return there on our next trip to Nashville.

The white wine arrived barely chilled and never did get cold enough. Our waiter offered a drink on the house for the inconvenience. The scallops were delicious, but were barely lukewarm and by then we were tired of asking for help from our waiter. At these prices, the wine should be cold and the food hot.

As this was my first trip to Nashville I wanted to try the #1 rated place in town. Unfortunately I was rather underwhelmed. Everything was ok but it was way overpriced. I come from the Hudson Valley in NY, home of the Culinary Institute of America, so am we’ll acquainted with high end dining and Etch was most definitely not that. If you plan to charge NYC type prices in Nashville you need to do WAYYYYY better.

The food and wine pairings were to die for. I had the lamb chops and my husband had the venison. Everything was beautifully prepared and the staff was wonderful. We will be back for sure.

We thought the food was excellent. We had steak, lamb and fish and all 3 of us thought the meal was excellent. Our waiter was efficient, polite and friendly. It appears to be a place where business people go for dinner. However, we were on vacation and wanted something besides bar food, thought it is pricey but we felt worth it for a great meal!

Really enjoyed our dinner. It was outstanding. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
A little too noisy yet understanding was Saturday evening. There was a lot going on downtown that evening.

Great service! I believe her name was Sherleah (no idea how to spell it). When asked about her choice of wine, she didn’t go directly for the more expensive of the two that were chosen, she gave her honest opinion and it was a great choice: South African Shiraz. So yummy. It was my friend’s birthday and our other server Brooke brought out an extra dessert with Happy Birthday written on it. He was so happy. Food is always excellent. Deb is a genius.

Our first dining experience in Nashville and so glad we started here! Visited for lunch and absolutely loved the menu variety and creativity. Naturally - the two of us ordered all the apps so that we could get going exploring their food. The entrees were impressive and very satisfying. Portions - even the half portions - can easily be shared. We ended our meal with a delicious pavlova dessert which was perfect! All in all - wished we could’ve return for another meal and will do so on our next trip to Nashville.

We went to Etch based on a recommendation. The food was fresh, unique, and delicious. Our server was courteous and professional. The atmosphere was inviting and we enjoyed looking out the windows. We will recommend this restaurant to others and will come again when in Nashville

On a national level, I’d guess is Etch is in the really good level. But not upper tier. On a Nashville level, my guess its at the top of the heap. So if you’re visiting, seek it out. Sat at the “kitchen bar” to watch the action recommended by other reviewers. Couldn’t see anything of the actual assembling the meals. But was interesting to see the assembled dishes going out of the kitchen. They all looked terrific Ate nothing memorable, but what we had was very good.

We were pleasantly surprised. We received a gift certificate to Etch, from a friend who is a classically trained chef who has dined there before. It’s his favorite. We were absolutely amazed at the wonderful flavors of each dish, and the beautiful presentation. I ordered the 7oz filet and I’ve never had a more tender steak. The crispy potato salad was off the charts!
We have already told friends about Etch, and we are planning to go back soon.

P.S. We received a personal email from the manager the next day, thanking us for our business. Wow.

Food, as always, was great. Had the lamb chops, which were fantastic, with the old syrah that I brought in to the restaurant. Great food/wine match. My wife had the fish special, corvina (sp?). I tasted it and it was also fantastic. About as fresh as fish can get.

I had been to Etch with friends a year ago when we came in to Nashville. I enjoyed the food and wine so much that when I did a girls weekend this restaurant was a must.

Limited menu, food was ok but not worth the price. Food was not hot and sent back. Waiter had an attitude more suited for the French Laundry in Napa. Not a fan.

The food in Etch is amazing. The combinations of ingredients are unique and are expertly paired with an obvious passion. The waiter we had was fantastic with an obvious l ok very gorgeous what he did and he gave great recommendations. The cauliflower starter was delicious as were the halibut and venison entrees . The crispy potato salad is the best potato salad I have ever tasted.

Both food and service are excellent. We went for happy hour before our reservation. Had a couple good drinks but the bar area is quite small. For our dinner reservation we chose to sit at the counter so we could see the activities in the kitchen. When we saw any good looking dish, our server would tell us what the dish was and how it was made. I liked the evening special fish and ordered it. It was very tasty. My husband had a filet and he was very happy with it. The steak was of high quality and was cooked right to what he wanted. We also ordered Cheese & Honey and Octopus and Shrimp Bruschetta for appetizers and both were extremely good. Great restaurant. P

My fiancée and I had a fantasic dining experience at Etch! Our waitress was very attentive and lent us good recommendations for our meals. The food was outstanding with very good flavors making me want more. To top it off, the olive oil almond cake was spectualr!
