The food was incredible! The flavors of every dish were so well done. The service was impeccable. Our server not only knew the menu backwards, he explained the history behind the restaurant. Thank you for providing an amazing experience.
Fantastic food, creative, fresh and fun!
Visiting Nashville for the 1st time and decided to try one upscale meal to complement BBQ and honky tonk fare more readily available in town. We went at 7pm on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was packed with lots of young adults who were nicely dressed and having a good time. Our server (Matt?) was very knowledgeable about the menu and able to answer any questions we had, make recommendations etc. We picked a wine new to their list and both Matt and the Manager came to talk with us about the wine (which was delicious). The food was very good, but not at the level of some other places we have eaten (sorry). I felt like there was a little too much going on with the dishes. For instance I had the lamb loin which came with greens, cauliflower, a yellow pepper puree, an eggplant puree, an orange marmalade, puffed quinoa and a third sauce as well. I found the dish a little sweet and I thought the cauliflower would have been greatly improved with some salt (no salt or pepper on the table or offered to us) But overall it was a very pleasurable evening and, if I were visiting Nashville again, I would certainly come back!
The food was excellent, wine list was large. The service was amazing! I’d definitely go back
Food was excellent!
Very pleasant. Food was quite good, service was very attentive and friendly
Surroundings are very nice. Service was excellent. Food presentation was excellent but the taste was lacking. They sure like cauliflower here. I would go back but it is pricy and really doesn't stand out in the crowd of good restaurants here.
Our dinner at Etch was fantastic. Love the upscale ambience and that it is quiet enough to have meaningful conversation. The server was friendly, attentive, and highly knowledgable about the various offerings on the menu. The wine list is extensive with great options to pair with your food. But what makes Etch so special is the unbelievable creations from the chef and her capable kitchen. Love. The roasted cauliflower appetizer that comes with 3 sensational dipping sauces. Both the Etch salad and the spinach salad would be worth the trip alone, but on entrees take the experience to whole new level. The fish of the day and the venison were both perfectly cook, and combined with sauces bursting with flavor. Glad we did not skip the chocolate hazelnut mousse. Yum! All in all, a memorable dining experience at a restaurant that never fails to delight and impress. Our favorite restaurant by far, and sure to be yours as well.
Absolutely incredible! Creative, fun flavor pairings. Try the charcuterie salad and cauliflower!
Very unique and fresh approach to food. A wonderful change from the burgers, beers and barbecue in Nashville. This is a special place with impeccable service. You must stop here!! Get off Broadway and do something nice for yourself. This is as good a fine dining as anywhere we have eaten in the USA.
We had a great meal here Friday night in between our afternoon and evening NCAA basketball sessions. We were very pleased to find such a good restaurant so close to the arena. Our visit to Etch was one of the highlights of our whole Nashville trip.
Excellent meal. Loved the tuna appetizer, very unique. Great flavors throughout and wonderful service.
We are from Nashville and have eaten a lot of place. Tech exceeded our expectations for taste, presentation and service. The octopus/shrimp starter was great as was my filet and my wife’s lamb. Our server Sherrelia (sp) was wonderful. Highly recommend even though a bit pricey.
The food at Etch is wonderful. However, I have to say I was underwhelmed. I expected a lot from the menu and the great descriptions. Turned out most of the intriguing components of the dish were merely wipes of plate dressing. Each one added a different touch to the meal, but there were several types on one plate. That left me wondering what the chef really wanted to do with that dish. I'd like to see some choices pared down so a stronger focus is place on each meal.
You will have fun tasting all the intricacies. They are all well prepared. Do give them a try.
Excellent food and great service. Not a large menu. You will not be disappointed in the food selections.
Very impressed with Etch and highly recommend. Wife and I visited on our first trip to Nashville. We expected a nice meal based on reviews, but we got much more than we expected. We were expertly guided through our evening by our server, Granville. The veal and shiitake meatballs were very good. The venison is prepared Moroccan style and is one of the best meals I have ever had. Very expertly prepared. Etch has a good selection of wines by the glass that are reasonably priced. Overall, a very memorable meal.
Pretentious and not very good. Overpriced.
Pretentious and overpriced.
Our waiter, Chris, was outstanding. Completely knowledgeable about the dishes being served. I had a fish dish - don’t remember the name and I hadn’t heard it before - but it was mediocre. There were so many other things piled on the fish that it was overwhelming and I couldn’t really taste the fish. It was served with a sweet potatoe cake and I couldn’t really taste the sweet potatoes. My friend got the lamb and loved it but also thought there were too many other things added to the plate. The cauliflower appetizer is, however, amazing. Definitely get that!
Another great meal . We especially enjoyed the cocktail called a "black hole" (which, of course included a sprig of thyme) to celebrate the life and achievements of Stephen Hawking. The service, food, ambiance, wine list, valet parking etc. were all hard to beat in Nashville. This place, despite high expectations, just does not disappoint.
The food was awesome with amazing presentation. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. We will definitely go back . I also want to try the sister restaurant Etc. in Green Hills.
Lunch at Etch is one of the best deals in town. Unbelievable food at extremely reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
Amazing all around! Food was to die for and our server was awesome!
Everything was absolutely fantastic - octopus & shrimp bruschetta, duck tart, cauliflower soup, one Of the best salads, both desserts - but the entrees were disappointing. My venison was clearly quite rare instead of medium rare & just wasn’t very tasty. The scallops were okay but were served with a kale salad and beets that didn’t help the dish much. Still highly recommend, as everything apart from the entrees was seriously TOP NOTCH!
The food was amazing. Amy was fantastic and knowledgeable about the menu.
It’s always a great meal. We go every time we are in town.
One of THE BEST restaurants in Nashville. Period.
Searched the web for a good restaurant whilst in Nashville and Etch seemed one of the best.
We sat at the kitchen counter, as recommended, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our server and adviser for the night was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. Between us we got it spot on.
I still find it difficult to believe that someone could convince me that cauliflower, up until then a vegetable I could not see the point of, would make a remarkable dish. But I am now a convert but only, probably, at Etch.
Cocktails mixed very well - French martini done to perfection. Enjoyed a beautifully plated filet mignon- delicious. Great service
Very nice meal. Husband had the scallops, I had the vegetarian katafi. Unfortunately mine was burnt. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. I would definitely go back when I’m in Nashville again.
The presentation is amazing and the food just as good
Very enjoyable. Interesting flavor combinations that worked
The Peruvian Ceviche was outstanding. I had the good fortune to visit Lima several years ago, an I ate ceviche every chance I got. This was as good as any ceviche I had in Peru. Fresh. Delicious. The presentation was playful and elegant. (If you ever make it to Lima, check out Amaz and Central. Amazing restaurants!)
Had the venison for my entree: Tender, medium rare. The dish had a north-African vibe, served with a feta-stuffed pastry, pomegranate walnut sauce, black olive tapenade, poached apricots and a mint relish. Looked and tasted fantastic. My friend had the lamb, which was also excellent. The house cocktail list was short but strong. The waiter listened carefully to my questions about the menu and the wine list, and his suggestions for wine matched my appetizer and my entree perfectly.
We've tried a lot of the new restaurants in town over the past year but we keep coming back to ETCH for some reason. Will not disappoint. Great presentation, great food, great Vibe!
Everything was great
Wonderful food, wonderful service by Ed! Thank you!
Our server Matt was great!
Food, service, atmosphere. That order. Loved it! Going back again
Great experience as always. Service was excellent and food was very good.
Fantastic steak. Excellent service.
Excellent meal by a very creative chef. One of the top chefs in Nashville. Knowledgeable staff. Great wine list
