etch is a globally-inspired restaurant by award-winning chef Deb Paquette. The original location opened its doors in 2012 in lively downtown Nashville; the second location opened in fall of 2024 in The Factory at Franklin. The modern restaurant houses two private dining rooms, a full bar, and a chef’s bar, giving guests a look into the restaurants' culinary prowess.

etch’s eclectic menu incorporates innovative dishes inspired by Deb and Executive Chef Jess Lambert's favorite regions of the world to leave a lasting impression, or etch, on every diner. A wine list with over 80 choices is available, along with high-gravity local beers and hand-crafted signature cocktails.

Desserts are prepared in-house by Pastry Chef Megan Williams, whose creations top the list for the city’s sweet confections. House-made ice creams and artfully plated desserts change seasonally, providing a revolving array of treats that will keep you coming back for more.

    We've teamed up with local distillery Nelson's Green Brier for a special bourbon dinner. Our culinary team has created a multi-course menu that compliments a selection of spirits from the Green Brier portfolio. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail with Nelson Brothers Classic bourbon + a braised pork belly skewer. The following four courses will be presented to guests seated in our private dining room for an intimate, interactive dining experience, each paired with a pour of the Nelson Brothers collection. The cost of tickets includes dinner reservations, drink pairings, tax and gratuity. Reservations can be cancelled up to seven days prior to the event for a full refund.     Not impressed. When we first walked in I was surprised at how bland and uninviting the atmosphere was. Our waiter was not friendly or welcoming at all. Long, long after I finished my gin and tonic he asked if I wanted another. The food was good but not off the chart like I expected. Won’t be returning.

    We dine at Etch (Franklin) as often as possible. The food is fantastic! Everything we’ve ordered has been exactly as described and delicious. ( Most recently I had the cauliflower appetizer, Etch salad and scallops and I highly recommend all of these! ) We are always greeted in a very friendly and gracious manner that makes us feel welcomed and valued. The service is fantastic! All the waiters are great, but we always request Chris. He’s very personable and attentive. Our favorite local restaurant!

    Etch is still hand's down one of the best restaurants in the area. While there are some who prefer the Gulch location as compared to the one in Franklin, we've found chef Deb's fare to be equally good at both places. It's still a bit pricey for Tennessee, but is a bargain compared to comparable restaurants in NYC or the DMV. Moreover, she and her team strive to offer a range of dishes for discriminating tastes. I enjoyed the filet, tender, cooked perfectly and well-presented. My dining partner, a vegetarian had the grits. Both aces in my book. The blackberry tart is frankly one of the best desserts I've encountered in the Nashville region. Overalll, we are lucky to have Etch at the factory. Service is impeccable. We did not feel rushed at all. The atmosphere is pleasant but pretty S.O.P. for a higher end restaurant. Well worth the money. Full disclosure: neither of us drink so I cannot comment on the wine/spriits selection but I am certain it is equally good.

    Had a business lunch here. First time at this location and it was outstanding. The duck confut fried rice was sooooo good!

    Etch has long been one of our favorites, now the Franklin restaurant makes great dining even easier. The food was wonderful and the service charming- thanks for a great evening!

    Outstanding food. I highly recommend the Duck Tart, Filet Mignon, and Pineapple Tart. I know—ordering steak when I can make it at home gave me pause, but this was no at-home steak! We were celebrating our anniversary, and while Jay didn’t make it to our table this time, he promised to visit on our next trip. I’m holding him to it and plan to be back soon.
