Good option to celebrate a birthday! It was too hot to sit outside!
The happy hours is very good with drinks at $6 and bites at $5. We tried the pork steamed dim sum and the Japanese fried chicken, both were excellent. We miss the skewers at happy hour
nice place, great dishes, and expectacular atmosphere
Two of us went for the sunny.org restaurant month.
The choices were extensive. Food was exotic but delicious.
Customers were dress rather casual; it is next to the beach, on a second floor in a condominium.
awesome. Best sushi in the world, and best ambiance in the world
Incredible service and food. Totally exceeded all of my expectations! Thank you Cesar and Racha!!!
Not as good as usual. Appetizers were great especially the ribs. Oysters were fresh as well as the sushi . But the service was slow and not as friendly as usual. We ordered our entrées and it took one hour to receive them and my friend had to take it to go. And what happened To the DJ
We went to Etaru with great expextations based on the wonderful reviews from the social media to find a very boring ambiance for a Saturday night. The restaurant inside was totally empty so we decided to sit outside but the heat and humidity totally ruined the experience. No music or good vibes at all. The food was average and the price was fair. Our waiter did everything above and beyond but it was not enough to wish us to return.
Great! Becoming a part of the regular dining rotation!
Brunch is always amazing! Great ambiance and even better food.
Sashimi was great, other food on average grade. Service very good.
You should not accept reservations at 9:30PM if you are to make us feel it is too late.
I have always enjoyed dining there for brunch. It was the first experience where the service was lacking. Bottom less wine champagne. Paid extra for champagne and all through I had to almost beg to get a glass as the server was no where to be found. Meanwhile the table next to me was getting refill while half empty. Thumbs down for my last visit.
Another fabulous experience at ETARU. Amazing brunch at a great price.
Beautiful ocean front setting. Nice ambiance. Relaxed & friendly service. Enjoyed the food. Good value overall. Would return.
Great location, service and food. A bit overpriced.
We went for our 25th wedding anniversary and wI’ll definitely go back. They put us right by the ocean and the food was excellent. They even wrote “happy anniversary” in chocolate on our dessert plate.
Brunch was great! They give a lot for the price, I would definitely recommend.
Paul, the manager, made our experience a lot better!
We The location of our table was great and fits for our company
Amazing food with a great location.
Amazing all around!! We lived the sever Whitney!
This was our first visit to Etaru in Hallandale. We did not realize that it was a Sunday brunch buffet. We had a short wait and was seated outside. The quality of the food, especially the sushi/sashimi and seafood was amazing. All of the food was excellent. We were then blown away by the dessert platter which came with the brunch. We all loved it. The drinks included with the brunch were also great. Will return!
First time and will not be the last. Server accommodated all of our needs. This will be on my list again for Sunday Brunch
Great restaurant. Great food with ocean view. Service good as well. A winner
Awesome experience and delicious food!
Service for restaurant not = to price for food
It’s a nice place right on the beach. Some food is really good, but dishes not good at all. Very sad that they change their menu very often and it becomes smaller and smaller with less and less of good choices. As soon as you get to like something the next time you come and you want to have it again it’s not on the menu anymore
Reservations were for 5:30 pm on Saturday. We arrived a bit early- checked in and waited patiently, enjoying the ocean view. We noticed several other guests who arrived after us were being seated BEFORE us, and had to approach the seater to again check in. Annoyed. That said, our server was Ari who was AMAZING and attentive. She made the rough start so much better by being so helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend the avocado maki, fried chicken (to die for!) and hamachi salad. We'll be back-
Although the food was good, the service was sub par. Their wait staff is horribly under trained. The food runners have no clue which table the meals were to go. They had this look of confusion on their faces. The food runners dont know the the proper way to serve the plates, the protocol of serving and the correct method of serving. It really was disappointing that a restaurant of that stature has poorly trained servers. The waiter was not that much better but a notch up. The bartender at the time was very moody and not friendly at all. Its that type of management that can sink a restaurant when really all thats needed is some simple training from someone who knows the industry.
We came here for Mother’s Day brunch with my mom ... the buffet was excellent as we both enjoy seafood, they had different selections of sushi and fish and some really great appetizers. Service was great, they attended to us often! The music was a little bit too loud, I couldn’t really converse with my mom and had to raise my voice a lot as so did she.
The quality of food is very poor for the pricetag. I guess location and design of this place justifies it, but food is mediocre at best.
Unfortunately Miami has a long way to establish its culinary presence comparing to NYC
Love the food. The view is amazing excellent service.
Sunday Brunch. Self Explanatory 😎
Great presentation fabulous view
Our experience was indeed very poor. We have been the previous year on a normal week day and both food and service had been very good.
Sunday brunch was a huge disappointment. Food was average at best, with a few exceptions. Service was the poorest I have experienced in a long time. Waiter was AWOL, they forgot half of the main dishes which we had to request over and over. They never came to serve ‘the free flowing’ undrinkable wine.
Save your pennies and eat at home. A total miss
Bored server kept having to flag her down. Never got part of our order
Quality of food was excellent, but expect to be there for a VERY long time and do not expect good service. We booked our table over 3 weeks in advance and requested a table with a view since we are coming from out of town, but when we arrived the request was not honored.
The restaurant was understaffed and there seemed to be only one waitress running around for all the outdoor tables. She was very rushed and was not able to return to our table consistently to check if we needed anything. It took at least 25 minutes for them to bring water when we were first seated, and the first few courses of the tasting menu alone had 20 mins or so of wait time between each course. We never complained about anything, but the manager was nice enough to send over an extra entree on the house to make up for our waiting.
Overall the food was very delicious, but if atmosphere and consistent service are important to you, this might not be an ideal spot.
