ETARU Fort Lauderdale
Need to book at 7:30 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
When they opened buffet was excellent. More options. Now very limited option, quality not as good. The place was empty on a Sunday. They need to step up their game again. However service was good and the dessert fantastic.
everything was great except for too noisy and shishito peppers were raw
Great birthday dinner for my son
Love Hallandale location as well
Excellent happy hour..favorite Sake
Absolutely awesome. We will be back.
The restaurant is great and the food is even better! however the person at the front (hostess) was extremely rude. We had reservations at 8:00 (through Open Table) and when we go there she told us that the only option we had was to sit outside (it was extremely windy and it rained!) - i never knew that it was even an option. She said that if we wanted to eat inside we would have to wait for about an hour. Very disappointed with the service - we had to wait a little over 45 mins to eat inside, and that's because my husband spoke with another individual (perhaps the manager). Food is truly outstanding.
Appetizers were good. Definitely recommend for apps and drinks at the bar. Everyone in our table was disappointed with their entrees. Service was hit and miss, and slow. Not an overall good experience. Doubt we’ll go back again anytime soon.
Enjoyed the food. Noise level beyond tolerable. Would be great if they made an investment in noise level reduction.
This is one place to avoid. The food took forever to receive and the restaurant was empty. The quality of the food was terrible and the furthest thing from being fresh.
I would not waste your time or money on this less than par establishment.
It was our 6th or 7th time there. This time was a horrible experience overall
We had early dinner outside. It’s right in the heart of Las Olas and the outdoor space is nice. I had heard a number of complaints about it being crazy loud and when we were seated outdoor music was blaring. I was convinced we would not return. I asked them to turn it down and they did. From then on it was much better. Seems someone in management needs to get this figured out. That said once things settled the service was good and timely and the food was quite good. We had dumplings and fried chicken appetizer and the ribeye - which we had them slice up as well as some rice. All were great and I would get all of them again. Drinks were good. I found the prices reasonable for what we ordered. By the end of the meal we both agreed this one is a keeper so we will be back.
Birthday fun was great on New Years Eve early. They gave us hats to celebrate & the awesome dessert tray was huge & fab w/ a Happy Birthday sign on it. Thank you!
GREAT PLACE, NICE FOLKS, AWEOME FOOD. WE WOULD GO BACK AGAIN.
Amazing food and ambiance. A little pricey, but worth the experience.
Food is solid good. Service is slow and our server not too friendly but keep in mind ...he is working on Christmas Day!
The food was excellent! The menu is clear and has a number of surprising combinations. Sushi was best i have had in FL.
Great food but a bit overpriced for such small portions. Also the drinks are search in small glasses with high prices. Especially the Blossom drink. They give you This old martini glass that is very small and only fill it halfway definitely would not order drinks there!
William the sever was excellent!!
Beautiful restaurant. We ate outside, which was lovely. Inside was very loud. Food was good, not great, especially for the price. Service was sub par. Everyone was very friendly, but they were having trouble honoring reservations, and the service was quite slow.
Great spot, Fort Lauderdale needs more restaurants like this! Great food, amazing service - come for happy hour or dinner!
Our first time there and it won’t be our last. It was awesome !!!
Everything was great. We ended up sitting at the bar which was perfect. The environment was great. It was our first time at the restaurant and loved it! Highly recommend! Food was great! They have a tasting menu, but we ended up trying several things on the menu.
Menu is limited. Service is slow. As nice as the atmosphere is I expected more out of the dining experience. It was not worth the cost.
We love the food. The manager is great...very customer service oriented. It’s great for date night, special occasion...any reason. Try the sea bass!
This restaurant is an expensive treat yourself / special occasion / business meal type of restaurant. Portions are small and prices are high relative to those portions. That said, the food & cocktails are fantastic and I’ve never been disappointed by what we’ve ordered at the table. Would recommend going with people who have similar taste so you can order to share - whether you have two people or a large group. Would not recommend if you’re not at least a little adventurous with food because they have a lot of really exquisite, unique dishes that are worth trying.
This was my first time dinning at Etaru. First impression was the well designed interior but then we sat down for an interesting experience. Employees are poorly trained. I ordered a pinot grigio and the waitress brought me a pinot noir, which did not pair well with my meal, but I decided not to say anything. Then my partner and I ordered two rolls for the table, 1 tuna (for his preference) 1 salmon (for myself), and they brought over two tuna rolls. It did not end there. No one come over to ask how the meal came out or if we needed anything. It took me 10 minutes to get someone’s attention. 10 minutes!!
Food is fresh and delicious but the service doesn’t match the ambiance. I was disappointed.
Server was Lilian V.
Amazing food, great atmosphere. The octopus was incredible, as was everything else we ordered. We ordered 5 courses and each was better than the last.
Had higher expectations of this place based on recommendations. First walked in, sounds like a night club at 7:30 pm. Then their seating for two is quite awkward - kinda an after thought on the design. Food was ok, not great for the price. Fatty tuna was not fresh- kinda ruined the evening.
The sushi items were ordinary, not very good. The pork dumplings were tasteless and lacked texture. We had the tasting dinner, and until the robata items arrived, we were unimpressed. The skirt steak and scallops from the robata grill were excellent which kept us from giving this restaurant a much lower rating. The service was friendly and professional.
Lamb chops and Hot pot were to die for. Prawn roll was a bit cold and regular for the price charged. Drinks were underwhelming as well. Waitress was amazing and at tentative. Overall a great time!
we enjoy Eraru everytime we go.
good and interesting food and good service.
the rice with wild mushrooms and Miso Cod are the best dishes.
no complaints -- everything is consistent
The food is very good and the service is good too. There is something however about the ambience that is a bit cold. We will however return. Thank you
The presentation was exceptional and creative. I’ve never had such a beautifully prepared meal!!!
Loved the food, cocktails really good, service was great, not rushed, great night.
Great food, service was wonderful and the atmosphere was energetic. The sushi was fresh and the cocktails although small were delish.
Etaru is a beautiful space with excellent food. The happy hour deals are great. The bar can get very lively, but the dining room remains calm and relaxing. As for the service...Caesar took such great care of us! He is knowledgeable and truly understands customer service.
Always great! Love dining here food
Awesome meal and service!
Everything about Etaru was amazing! We’ve been wanting to try it for a while and it did not disappoint. The Kampachi sashimi (signature dish) was the best! We’ll definitely be back
We sat outside ... too noisey inside. Had the CRAVE menu and it was fabulous. An outstanding value!
