ETA Restaurant + Bar Ratings and Reviews
I loved the atmosphere. The hotel is very on trend and I liked the energy/vibe as soon as I walked in.
I thought restaurant atmosphere was healthy and I like the organic feel to it. I thought the service was just average. I liked the concept of the butcher block plates, but I thought the ones used for our meal were very tired looking. We had a group of 7 and most of them were warped and overused. Maybe others would like that, but it was a turn off to me.
Over a weekend stay, we ate breakfast at ETA twice and had dinner once. Breakfast potatoes are crazy delicious (even if fried). Cauliflower hash was great vegetarian fare and not the same old, same old. Good coffee (intelligensia). Dinner menu has limited vegetarian options but didn't go hungry. Crispy brussels sprouts were outstanding menu choice. Service varied by meal and server. Separate space from bar is quiet. Bar selection and wine selection outstanding. Pricing as expected. Would go back for sure!
I selected this restaurant for a dual special occasion and meticulously apprised the restaurant of the celebration (using the Open Table app.) I requested any acknowledgement they may offer — a simple “Happy Birthday” greeting would have been satisfactory. Unfortunately, there was never any mention of our special occasion. I do not believe that anyone even accessed the request I sent. The venue was univitung and the ambiance unwelcoming. The food was the saving grace on this occasion — quite good, with servers who were doing their best.
It’s a shame that this restaurant defeats itself by ignoring such vital details. I couldn’t recommend it to anyone based on this experience.
