Great food, awesome drinks
Great service and excellent food as always!
I was unimpressed with the service. I was seated for over 10 minutes before first approached, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy, at all. The server wasn’t alerted by the host that I was seated. And twice after my food was delivered to my table (by someone other than my server), I had to seek out my server to get further assistance (like to order a glass of wine). The food was good, but the overall experience lacked.
Good burger, and well-made cocktails. Service was slow, one item never arrived, and we had to beg to have our water refilled, which happened only once the entire meal - as we received our check. The ambiance is nice but uninspired. Overall, the meal was sufficient, but not at all special and noticeably mediocre service.
It is not listed in the website that it is an interior hotel restaurant. That was my only gripe. We wanted more of a romantic view and not an inside restaurant. Food however made up for it and the waiter was amazing.
Great night and great food
We came here for Valentine’s Day. The food and overall atmosphere was great - loved the Valentine’s Day prix fixe (winter butternut squash risotto with truffle starter, filet with two jumbo shrimp) and my boyfriend was able to order calamari and steak for himself. The service was very strange and frustrating. It took 30 minutes for us to get served our wine, and this was after we had ordered and already eaten the calamari appetizer. Our server was MIA when we tried to get his attention. Other than that the meal was wonderful and they gave me a send off rose with two bags of three yummy Valentine’s day themed cookies.
The food was good
The service was bad
I don’t think the hotel care about this restaurant bar
The bartender ,she serve as too
Was only 3 tables even in restaurant week
The forget the dessert , we get the check after the entrees , even she took our dessert choice
She tried to do her best but wasn’t her fault
Was the a little stuff the have
As a chef I need to say that
Again the food was good
Had a wonderful lunch with friends. Great food with a beautiful atmosphere. Our server was professional and attentive and made our meal more enjoyable.
Food and service are always excellent!!
Amazing foor, best service
Wonderful knowledgeable servers. Food was flovorful and presented beautifully.
Food was incredible. It may have been the best calimari I have ever had so I highly recommend that. It was a business dinner but the service was incredibly slow to take our order.
Love the eggs Benedict
Tasteless food, OK service, way overpriced. All in all a meh experience.
Wonderful service l, great food, it was a great restaurant to celebrated my mom’s birthday.
The food was excellent and our waiter Jon did a great job taking care of us. We had the calamari which was beyond our expectations, short rib and ribeye both of which were also delicious!
Amazing breakfast menu, food was fantastic, and waitress Amanda was so kind and attentive! Will definitely come again
The food was not as good as we expected - and the scallops were a bit undercooked and cold when they came out. But we thought the cocktails were all very good (although one of the ones I had was more of a shooter than an actual cocktail) and the service was nice. A bit overpriced, but I would definitely recommend for drinks - or if you’re staying in the hotel.
We will be back. Calamari sauce, whatever it is, was absolute crizzity!! So good.
Excellent. Salmon had wonderful crispy skin and bucatini with short ribs was very tasty. Ambiance was nice for a romantic night/ or trendy get together. Would go for any special occasion!
I’ve been to the Rooftop Bar before but never ETA and we were not disappointed. I was looking for a restaurant near the hotel for in town coworkers and ETA was a great location. The food and service was amazing. It felt like a personalized experience as I was greeted by name when I arrived and left the restaurant.
What an outstanding experience. I won a “Dinner for 4” at an auction. From the moment we sat down, our waiter Wade, was excited to explain our food journey and said it would be a lot of food. I under estimated him. We had so much food for leftover too.
Went there for our anniversary was a great experience however my girlfriends burger was under as she likes her burger well done it was medium well but they quickly fixed it without a problem the lamb chops I had was amazing!!
Bar seating is too loud and the server did not come by often enough to ask if anything else was needed.
We stopped in on a Tuesday evening. Food was delicious and the service was friendly.
Breakfast was unbelievable delicious, I'm a super fan of smoked salmon benedict, try so many places but ETA’s benedict won't let you down, I can tell that's the best-smoked salmon benedict I have ever had, and the breakfast potato, OMG! I can eat it everyday.
Fried Calamari tastes not good, but the pork chop was surprisingly good, nice decorations and a good place to dine with friends. Our female server was nice and attentive, sorry we forgot to ask her name.
Fair would be the best word to describe it. Food was cold. Server was not knowledgeable.
Great place to have a meal!
The lunch menu here is not really very interesting. They should have a true brunch menu and keep it until 2pm or so.
Excellent service and the tuna tartar (compliments of the chef) is a must! I hope they add it to their menu!
Great brunch!
Great food
The setting for the restaurant was great and right in a hotel lobby. It was dark and not overly noises. However, the prices were way too high for the food options. The menu was very small and needed some more selections.
I wanted a quiet place with great food for a quick business dinner and I found it at ETA. What great food, quiet and great ambiance. Enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed the braised beef. Looked as great as it tasted. Ate every bit of it and the bread was exceptional too. Afterward walked down to the Navy Pier which is quite close. Bonus. I shall return again when back in Chicago.
Overall not the worst experience. The presentation of the food is the best this place has to offer.
Overall good for the value
Great food and service at reasonable prices.
I can usually be skeptical of “hotel based” restaurants, but this place was outstanding. The service was spot on from minute one, highly attentive and amazingly professional. The drinks were superb. The food, wow. So well done. Our steaks were of a “fine steakhouse” comparison, and the sides were a delight. You MUST get the crispy brussels! I will definitely be back.
