Wonderful food and service
Seriously amazing from start to finish and Caviar service was the icing on the top
Food is incredible, delicious, and a wonderful menu. I also love their cocktail and my favorite is the smoked old fashion. Everything is absolutely delicious plus vegetarian option for my friend also fantastic! A true gem
Another amazing meal at what us now our favorite French restaurant! Feel like we’re back in France…so special! Alana is server of choice for us and ohhh that food👏👏. Can’t wait to return!
We recently dined at Et Voila to celebrate a birthday and enjoy a casual French bistro experience. It has been a few years since our last visit and we found the experience good and enjoyable overall. We brought our own bottle of aged Bordeaux and were very happy our server decanted the bottle to allow it to breath as we enjoyed an aperitif off the cocktail menu. With the help of our server, we ordered a three cheese plate which was very tasty and accompanied with a nice assortment of nuts, honey and fruits. The cheeses were well selected and a great start to the meal. We ordered our main courses of duck and turbot and enjoyed them along with our Bordeaux. The main dishes were good, but not great. The frites we ordered on the side were the same, lacking the classic bistro taste and feel. The desserts were better. The food overall was good. Services was outstanding and we never felt rushed or distracted during our visit.
Amazing food and service as always, great wine list with many French wine options!
Excellent French bistro. Coq a vin is awesome as was the pork chop with violet mustard sauce. Charcuterie plate and cheese plate is outstanding. Love the pork terrine, duck rillet, rebluchon, and Brillat-Saverin. Get the soufflé of the day too if you have room.
This restaurant was highly recommended by two couples we know. Food was good, not extrodinary, service was essentially nonexistance..
Simply amazing and great value. We will be going again and again.
Food was delish, a nice variety of items, service was exceptional. A total gem.
We had an excellent waiter who recommended very delicious dish and was very kind throughout the dinner. Will certainly be coming back to try other dishes
Et Voila is easily among the best restaurants San Diego has to offer. My friends and I are almost weekly visitors. The onion soup and beef tournedos (which I haven't seen on the menu lately) are the only mediocre dishes I've encountered. Everything else is excellent.
The food was amazing, per normal. The only odd thing is that our server kept reminding us that we only had a certain amount of time. On the reservation confirmation, it said this:
Your table will be reserved for 1 hour 30 minutes for parties of up to 2; 1 hour 45 minutes for parties of up to 4; and 2 hours for parties of 5+.
Our reservation was at 4:45 and he told us we needed to leave at 6:15p.m. We were a party of 3 so it seemed like we should have had until 6:30. It just felt like we were being very rushed. We knew there was a time limit but then they even cut that down. I know it is hard during COVID so we def want to give grace but I did feel this was worth mentioning this.
Best in San Diego ! A real hidden gem !
Service is great, and food is wonderful. The mushroom ravioli is spectacular - the best pasta I have ever had - and presentation elegant to boot.
Always enjoy the salmon, coq au vin, mussels - well, just about everything on the menu. They don't even charge for the delicious baguette, as many other restaurants are charging for bread now. The Tuesday "Date Night" menu is a fabulous bargain!
Interior seating is spacious and protected, but we enjoy the rear patio. The only downside is parking, but it is worth that little hassle to eat at Et Voila' !!! Merci...
Great French wine selection
We are regulars
Simply SUPERB! We had the Mussels, Onion Soup and the Mushroom Ravioli. We were celebrating a big anniversary and sat outside in their warm, charming, very separated seating area. Beyond the food and bread the service was first class. Strongly recommend and cannot wait to go back, Thank You!!
Best way to celebrate our anniversary. My scallops, my husband’s elk strip steak and my son’s Steak au Poivre were prepared perfectly. The service was very attentive and the back patio is so romantic.
For dessert the chef prepared a yummy tasting assortment.
Can’t recommend this bistro enough
I'm so happy that I discovered this excellent restaurant not far from my home in Kensington. I have enjoyed two memorable meals here, each time with friends on occasions of celebration. I will be sure to return and to recommend it to others
Really enjoyed my dinner. Food was delicious and such a great place to celebrate a birthday!!
It is always a pleasure to dine here. The food is consistently good, the outdoor backyard feels safe in these days of Covid, and the wait staff is attentive in a very French way (they are there when you need them and don't hover). I sometimes dream of the steak frites, the mussels, the onion soup....very much the taste and feel of a small bistro in France. And the creme brulee is certainly worth the calories.
4th time here. food was excellent. ordered from the game menu and no regrets!!!
Took my husband here for his birthday dinner and we both enjoyed it! The food and cocktails were delicious and the service was great!
Been going here for awhile. Classic French good always high quality.
I love this place! Frequently go to sit at the bar for happy hour or on Tuesdays for the date night deal - so much food/wine for $50 a person!
This was my Mom’s 70th bday. It was a delicious meal. Everything was excellent!!! I’ve eaten here many times, and no matter what day or what occasion, I can count on it to be fabulous .
Absolutely lovely. The patio was festive and cozy. Everyone provided attentive service. The food was beautiful and well prepared. We had one issue with a dish and is was promptly attended to and the staff was insistent in providing a solution. The care was admirable. We had a delightful meal. Thank you to all who are working at this delightful bistro!
World class food, excellent service
Delicious food and drinks. Great wine selection. Great service.
always a crowd favorite. Classic French done well.
Do look at the nightly specials .
Also Insider tip: get the fried green beans" for the table " when you sit down.
What a wonderful and delicious meal we had with 4 of our friends. Everyone loved their selections, the service, ambiance in the tent with a Christmas tree. We were a little disappointed that we weren't able to have their scrumptious dessert soufflé, but the profiteroles were equally delicious.
Great classical French restaurant. Very unassuming on the outside bit inside of nice and quiet. They have outdoor seating in the back. Highly recommended
Me and my husband were celebrating our anniversary . We got the Tuesday menu and it was worth it. Staff was super friendly. We even got a nice message in our dessert. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!!
Food and drink is excellent here and I would highly recommend. We were seated in the back corner and there was a lot of noise coming from the other side of the wall. Seemed to be the kitchen of the restaurant next door to Et Voila
We both had entrees from the wild game menu. Elk ans Wild Boar which I would highly recommend both entrees
Overall a great experience and I will be returning to Et. Voila
My friend who are French loved the food and service
They were very impressed with the back tent area and service. They even brought extra heaters
It was planned as a birthday celebration for my dear friend. Et Voila! delivered big time. The food was outstanding. I had the lamb shank. Amaze-balls! The birthday boy had the classic steak-frites. Perfect. Just like in Paris. I would recommend anything they do with duck. We had the confit d'canard. Exquisite. But, what made it all seem like a celebration was the service. They care a whole bunch about the customer. I highly recommend this as a go-to for everyday dining and milestone celebrations alike. Bon appėtit!
I am a big fan of Tapenade (now changed to Bistro du Marche) which is only a steeping stone to Vincent and Ludo's success. I was thrilled to finally try Et Voila! It was exceptional on all areas:
* Bartender - on arrival she made us craft cocktails that were delicious
* Decor - the Covid sectioning is done very well and adds to the ambiance of the restaurant, with everyone in their own little shell
* Staff - attentive, informed on the menu and caring (he respected and advised on my celiac choises)
* now the food...Mussles - oh yes, and I couldn't help tasting my friend's plates - bison(special), steak frites and duck between us. All of it excellent, wonderful - not overpowering - sauces.
Amazing restaurant! We went for their Tuesday date night special and it was so worth the price. Everything about this restaurant was great, food, ambience, service. We will definitely be back!
The best restaurant in San Diego. The food is perfection. Great ambiance for any occasion or daily dining. The service and staff are the absolute best in the city. If you haven’t experienced Et Voilà Bistro, you must! Bon appétit!
