Et Voila! Bistro
Feel free to call us if you don't see your desired reservation time. We might be able to help.
The food was amazing!!! Our waitress was a little inattentive and didn’t talk to me just to my wife which was strange but overall I would go again.
I have been here twice and had a great experience. This time we were a party of 7 and waited 45 minutes beyond our reservation time to be seated. I had called earlier in the day to make sure we would be seated on time as we had several seniors in our party. This was for an 80th birthday party. Is was not before we complained several times that we were offered seats at the bar and brought some complimentary appetizers. Also, many of the dishes I have had before (snails) simply lacked in their preparation. Still enjoy this restaurant but would not bring a large party here again.
Don't book via Yelp or open table. You may not want to book at all because making a reservation doesn't matter. Go ahead and wait 30 minutes in the corner because this restaurant won't hold a table for you
Soufflé felt undercooked.5oz of prime rib was $34 which was prepared just right.Extra house bread was charged $5.If you open a bottle of wine, you would get more attentive service. Parking could be an issue FYI.
The pre fix menu was good. The waiter was kind enough to make special requests.
Loved it. Took my girlfriend there for dinner. Everyone was GREAT!!! The food was excellent and the atmosphere warm and inviting. I would definitely take her back there...
We have been to this restaurant several times. The food and service is amazing. I rated the food 4 because this time I was a little disappointed when my “medium” steak was serviced room- temperature. The medium steak should be cold/room-temperature inside and warm/hot exterior. In spite of that we had a great time and highly recommend Et Voila. Not to worry, we will be back.
The Tuesday Date Night menu was excellent allowing my wife and me to each enjoy an appetizer, entree and dessert of our choice plus a great bottle of wine. The service was exceptional. This is our new favorite restaurant. We will be back soon.
Prompt excellent service and very good steak frites
A lovely, neighborhood spot with superb ambiance that is not only the physical surrounding but also the attitudes of the staff.
The Rasteau available by the glass is excellent.
It felt good to be there.
Surprisingly good food. Thanks for coming to San Diego. Will be a regular customer!
The most authentic (and delicious) French food in San Diego.
I have dined here several times and every time the food has been excellent and the service attentive. It’s become one of my favorite restaurants, well worth the drive in traffic from North County.
Pleasant evening spent with traditional french menu.
Et Voila is a great place for brunch, lunch or dinner. We love having this restaurant in the neighborhood.
The food & service were very good & very enjoyable. The host had an attitude I can do without. The ambiance could be better, it is noisy & an outdated decor. The dinner was enjoyable.
French food that is well prepared, unique and delicious set in a cozy yet not crowded space. My wife and I went here for a date night and enjoyed great cocktails, food and conversation!
The meal was one of the highlights of our trip to San Diego!
Perfect meal. Wonderful attentive service.
Celebrated my birthday with sons and significant other. Fab wine list and great food. Highly recommended for a festive meal or any old time!
The food was terrific, as usual!! We will be back!
MUCHAS GRACIAS, ESTOY MUY AGRADECIDA POR SU CONSIDERACION EN SU CONSEGUIRNOS UNA MESA. ME EQUIVOQUE EN EL HORARIO DE LA RESERVA Y LLEGUE 2 HRS ANTES Y AUN ASI ME BRINDARON UNA MESA. MIL GRACIAS AL HOSTESS.
This restaurant was way beyond expectations. It's a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere, quite cozy. The food was beyond expectations. My friends and I were there for Restaurant Week and we couldn't have been more pleased. This 3 course dinner was a bargain. Veal short ribs, grilled scallops and delectable blueberry tart, outstanding! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
This is exactly what Restaurant Week is for. Er Voila is close to my home but I’d never eaten there. From the convenience of the valet to the wait staff, the service was very good. Food was tasty and well presented. The warm baguettes kept coming. Next time dessert!
We went for restaurant week and we both ordered the waygu sirloin steak for our entree. Mine was so tough that I literally could not chew at least three bites and had to spit them out (not a pleasant thing to do at a nice dinner). I finally gave up trying to eat it. My wife's was so tough that she thought her steak knife was dull...it wasn't the knife. It had a layer of white gristle (or something) in the middle that was impenetrable. The appetizers were ok, I had the farro salad and she had the ravioli. When the waitress saw that we didn't like the steak she did offer to bring a different entree but neither of us had much of an appetite at that point. The desserts were quite good and the waitress brought us an additional one without being asked. She also discounted my wife's portion of the bill. The service was good and she tried to make up for the steak but I can't say that either of us are interested in going back.
Lovely! We so enjoyed every bite. And I love that the servings are not huge, but actually French.
Went during Restaurant Week. Lovely place. We'll be back.
We went here during restaurant week, reserved an early dinner to beat the crowd. Enjoyed our food, my daughter became a fan of their crème brûlée and my husband of their roulade. Photos below are my pick from the menu. Decor and music was of good taste. Servers were attentive and polite.
It was a wonderful dinner!
First time visiting this restaurant and already I know I’ll be back. Came during Restaurant Week and was not disappointed. Great food and wonderful wines.
Started with the salmon roulade, then the short rib, and finished with a chocolate parfait. Great place, and well worth the visit.
Went and had the 3 course Restaurant Week menu. Not very impressed. Food was sort of bland and the paired wines were poor, especially the Sauvignion Blanc [showed none of the characteristics I'd expect from a California, NZ or even a french Sancerre.] The service was excellent. May go back to try the regular menu because of the reviews it has received. Not in any hurry to do so.
The steak was tough
Ravioli was great
Restaurant week so busy
Delicious food. Nice ambiance. Attentive service. We'll dine here again.
Always spot on in terms of food preparation, quality, ambience & service. Leave extra time for parking but easy access off the 805. We have never been disappointed & have shared this neighborhood gem with friends & family, who are now regulars.
Food was good but sparse. The service was very good and the ambience was nice.
The food and staff were excellent. I was visiting San Diego for a conference and picked this restaurant, what a complete delight for my colleagues and myself. Four stars by me.
Everything the four of us had was tasty. Attention to detail, excellent presentation, great wines, and amazing food...all made this a great evening. We'll be back.
Wonderful, everything about it.. it seemed that everyone really enjoyed working /doing their job. We were seated promptly and the wait staff was always available, but not hovering. We had been there earlier in the week and then we took out of town guests with us to check it out.
The menu has something for everyone. We were four people, consumed 12 different dishes total and everyone raved about the presentation and the flavors.
We will be back.
Wonderful experience and service!
Great evening. Excellent professional attentive service by server, Sara.
