What Insiders Are Saying
Estrella has reopened with a new menu, but we’re still very much about this bohemian Sunset Strip spot.
Outside patio is charming.
We were lucky to dine on a Saturday evening when most of LA was interested in the Dodgers game, so we basically had the place to ourselves!
Food was delicious.
Service was very attentive.
I've already recommended Estrella to a good friend.
Will tell others too.
The ambience is great, food is 8 out of 10 but I’m from Spain so I am used to the best tapas!
Very attentive staff. Nice music and not too loud so you are able to speak normally at the table.
Service is excellent, but unfortunately the food is not great. Fish had no flavor and octopus appetizer was chewy. I felt bad for the severs because they a were outstanding, but they need to change the Chef.
Great restaurant, nice patio area and outstanding food. If you want a good Spanish Tapas for a date this is a good place to go.
Great food and ambiance
Nice place, little bit loud.
Food was average. Service was mediocre. It was also dead. At first we were excited to find out there was a happy hour menu but then found out it wouldn’t apply to us because we were sitting at a table and not the bar. We basically paid double for the same drink even though we’d be ordering food. My girlfriend also felt like the wine was watered down. Overall, it was an average experience and this restaurant doesn’t quite reach the quality of other LA restaurants.
Attended lez do brunch and was very happy, the service was great!
We heard that there is a new chef at ESTRELLA so we checked it out. The food was outstanding!
While the staff was very nice, the pacing of the service was awful. Considering we ate so late and it was not crowded, the food was rushed out and all served at the same time. Very strange and not pleasant.
My husband and I dined on the outdoor covered patio. We had a number of dishes from salads to pasta and seafood. Everything we had was wonderful. The service and atmosphere were very nice. We would definitely return!
Food was excellent, they publish that their plates are for sharing but portions are really small (i.e Octopus), service was good
i had the avocado toast. the bread was great! the avocado was just eh. the egg was good. salad good.
i ordered an irish coffee, but they had no irish whiskey. i ordered a baileys and coffee, but they had no baileys. so i got water. strange cuz they have a full bar.
best part of the day- my friend ordered a fireball shot- bartender said "i don't think we have any. we do have antifreeze though." i loved it! he proceeded to bring my friend a shot of fireball :)
Service was terrible, apparently they had lost thro chef and it took over 2 hours for everyone to get their food, terrible experience for my daughter’s 21st Birthday, real embarrassing in front of my guests
Nice place to enjoy a glass of wine with tasty pairings.
Delicious food, but the terrible lacking attention service, neutralizes the experience to poor at best.
Eggs not cooked as I ordered them, sent them back and they still came out wrong again
No offer to replace my dates now cold meal
‘Fresh’ squeezed grapefruit juice did not taste fresh
Sloppy sandwich way too salty from all the olives
Beautiful brunch in a very well designed space!
Food was really good and service on point!
Went to Estrella early for the World Cup Finals viewing party and it was great. Service & food (prosciutto mozz croissant) were fantastic and owners/management came around to chat and make sure it was a great experience. The staff was very knowledgable of the menu and drinks and gave great recommendations. 10/10 would go back.
Kind of pricey for what it is, I ordered the sloppy sandwich which was delicious but not worth $22! It's a chicken sandwich with some spread not a filet mignon.
AMAZING restaurant in West Hollywood. The menu here changes daily, you will always be able to get great ambience, amazing service and great food.
I am a fan of the dish (and the band) The Rolling Stone. There are other tasty and fresh items served, anything from pasta to salads. I recommend the cheese boards with wine.
There has been recent management change here. We had two issues, one with valet and one with proper change, but it was resolved courteously and professionally. Manager bought cocktail for misinformation about weekend cost of valet stated on this forum. It is $10 every day of week.
I quite enjoyed my entire experience here. The staff is friendly, the service and food excellent. All you have to do is ask if it's not on menu. More than happy to accommodate! I look forward to my next visit..
WE enjoyed the ambience and the food was good drinks good but pricey.
Had never been to Estrella and didn't know what to expect but it was amazing!!! We all loved it and can't wait to go back!
There are too many better options to ever come here. We ordered 4 dishes. The meatball appetizer was good, as was the dessert. But our two main dishes - a saffron risotto and grilled octopus - were quite dull. My "Italian old fashioned" was a bit sweet. Service was good enough. The indoor room is pleasant, and the music was decent and not too loud. The outdoor space is attractive, but the noise off Sunset Blvd is a significant drawback. Parking around back is $10 with validation. Menu prices are about where they should be. But this first visit was sufficiently unimpressive to merit a return.
The food is fabulous and the staff could not have been more accommodating… This is one of our favorite restaurants!
We went at 8pm on a Friday and things were just starting, I assume people come later to party in WeHo lol
Was great though! We liked being able to take our time. The space is very comfortable. Food was great! No disappointments :)
Staff was super friendly and attentive. Will come back.
Used to be one of my favorite places, but it seems to have gone downhill. The menu was extremely limited due to what the server said was “the chef opening other restaurants.” And the service was very slow — they seemed to be short staffed. It was nearly 40 mins from the time we asked to have our meal boxed up until we finally got our check. We asked for a dessert menu, but no one ever returned to take our order, so we had to skip it. Hope they fix this place. It used to be great!
Great spot! The food was excellent! The environment super chill and relaxing...
Unbelievably bad all around.
I had a great meal with my guests, but unfortunately my waiter did not comply with the AMEX Tab I had set up prior to my arrival which ruined my sneaky payment.
This place was awesome! Went on a Sunday evening, not crowded at all, very nice and great service!
Service was terrible!!!! Overpriced food.
They did not have any menu posted online for brunch. I took my out of town frnds there who were all vegetarians and we were disappointed with the lack of options. Had they posted the menu online, we would not have made any reservations. I made reservations based on what I saw on yelp but they changed their menu and didnt post anything. Mgmt, plz post menus online so that people can make decision whether it is vegetarian friendly or not. We really had no option or choices and had high hopes looking at the yelp photos.
Valet was horrible. Gate would. Not open and attendent lazy.
Not a dinner place. Stick to brunch.
I was really looking forward to Brunch. I loved the ambience and the exceptional wait staff. The appetizer was very delicious but frittata was very dry and VERY salty. I was dumbfounded, however, at the price of a glass (half the glass really) of chardonnay was $18!!!!!! Unfortunately I ordered two before realizing it while paying the bill. Not sure I'll go back.
Awesome. Amazing service
They need to re construct their Brunch menu to get more substantial breakfast tpe food...I.e., pancakes, French toast , sausages, eggs etc.
It was a chill Vibe. A little confusing to get into but overall I had a decent time.
The fact the menu rotates daily and they make their own pasta! It’s 👍
