Specifically informed the restaurant a month in advance one of the guests was allergic to onions and garlic. Not once - but twice - did onion appear on our plates even after we really-confirmed “no onions and garlic “ at the start of the meal and after informing them on the first plate there was onion.
Service wasn’t as good as usual- servers were in a hurry and clustered in groups talking among themselves. But the food, as always, was amazing!
Food was not special, but very expensive. Great server but so loud you could not have a conversation.
The prix fixe meal at lunch is one of the best values in the entire dining scene in NYC. I love it. Been back more than 100 times over the years and keep coming back for the food. Great wine list as well.
I have been here many times since they first opened, almost always for dinner weeknights and weekends. Apparently, Sunday brunch is the only time you should avoid it. Frenetic doesn’t even begin to describe the energy level of the staff and crowd inside. My guests—all family—had never eaten there before, and it was my birthday, so I wanted to treat them to something Ive enjoyed other than the usual places we go in the neighborhood. That’s right—we live around the corner, and while we should no better than to eat out during post-Thanksgiving Xmas rush, I trusted this place. Bad idea. We were seated in the quietest area possible, thanks to a thoughtful hostess, but as soon as we sat down she was marching from reception to cloak room in heavy blocky heels that made it feel like I was sitting next to an Irish stomp session. Our waiters were abrupt—and I know one of them from the 15 years he has been there, but they were clearly frustrated with the people around us they had to attend to. Halfway through the first course hit the table like a navy pilot landing a plane at sea, one of them noticed that we hadn’t uncovered the best part of the dish, but by then it was half-eaten and too late to enjoy properly. Had I been alone, I would have sent it back, but I decided to remain on my best behavior, even after the desserts were slapped on the table and our waiter rushed off without asking if anyone wanted coffee, which my 90-year old mother, who was oblivious to this disaster of a meal service, always wants to have. I had to grab his arm and stop him on his next pass, si nice he was ignoring her attempts to hail him, and then left without attending to anyone else’s needs. Again. I finally lost my temper when his colleague walrus he’d by our table cursing about people he was waiting on elsewhere. I got up and gave the manager a piece of my mind. He was very apologetic and polite, and later when we asked for the check, the waiter said there was no check for our table. 🤷♂️🤬
Wonderful dining experience. One glitch -- I ordered an espresso, a waiter delivered my espresso to the table and another waiter was with him and presented me the check -- I had not requested it. It gave me the feeling that I was being rushed out -- the restaurant was not overcrowded, there were empty tables and there wasn't anyone waiting --
Great service & food
Our favourite restaurant!
Great food, service, and wine!
Great fresh fish, great service, another great meal. We are planning to come back soon, food is wonderful, every time we travel to NYC we make sure to have a meal here
We enjoyed the whole shabang!
Fantastic food, warm service. A+
Wonderful clean fresh food.
This is my favorite place.
great selection of fresh seafood and fish. the biggest stone crab claws I have ever seen and they were very good, very fresh. Great service, nice selection of wines. gluten free options not a problem. My wife and I shared a grilled fish and it was perfect. With some lemon and a little oil and capers, the way we like it, no fancy sauces!!! looking forward to another visit
Amazing food and service. Very friendly & attentive staff! Would return again, soon! Thank you!
Birthday. Very nice experience.
Milos has the best fish and service anywhere in Manhattan. We got the pre/theatre menu which was worth its value. The regular menu is extremely expensive.
The best. Incredible dining experience
High energy room with excellent service and food. Greek salad to start had tomatoes in December that tasted like prime summer produce. We shared a whole sea bass which was perfectly grilled and expertly filleted at the table. Wine list has an extensive selection of Greek varietals which required the sommelier to decipher but an albarino-like white was perfect with the sea bass. Pricey but worth it.
Had to wait over 20 minutes and ultimately was moved to another table. Meal was good, only marred by the server spilling wine on one of the executives...
Never been disappointed with the pre theater menu. Wonderful
Good location, excellent and modestly sized lunch. Prix lunch menu was a plus. Colleague mentioned the dessert selection was a bit sparse.
Really amazing food guys ! Service was perfect and our sommelier take care of us all night ! we definitely want to go back soon ♥️🌹
Dont think i would go back
A great experience as expected. My favorite restaurant in NYC.
Milos is an unbelievable Greek seafood restaurant in the entertainment district. From the coat check to staff teamwork to fabulous food, this place rocks and is a must eat when in NYC. We were treated like royalty and were visited not only by the dining room supervisor or perhaps manager but also by the owner during our pre-show meal. We have dined in many North American restaurants and this has to be one of my favourites. Great location, great decor, great food, great service and great pre-show value.
$360 for 2.5-course dinner for two. Solid meal, but not inventive. You can get as good A meal for so so much less $$ at so many other wonderful restaurants in NYC.
The best value pre fix lunch in town
Full portion for each course
We went for Thanksgiving.
We ordered the MP fish which was just so so. Just a marketing thing, the fish was very bland and a bit dry from the grill. I did not even finish my fish. That says enough. It’s nearly $100.
Probably won’t go back again.
We picked this restaurant because we had the option of a la crate and thanksgiving options. But when we got there, there was no thanksgiving option. That is unacceptable, especially when we booked this place specifically on thanksgiving day. I’ve been to other Milos around the world and they are wonderful. I am very disappointed that this was false advertisement especially for an upscale restaurant such as Milos.
I have enjoyed returning to Milos for over 25 years. Our recent adventure was marked by very gracious service, and gentle guidance to order a Mediterranean snapper vs. sea bass. We were so graified by that choice. Our wine was complex and very satisfying. Wonderful appetizers. Milos feels so special for us. So happy to bring my family to dine with you again and again.
I love Milos and their food. This is the fourth location I try and food always fantastic. However in this location they have seating in the main Resturant G floor (highly recommended), and then seating in the underground level or upper level (both not recommended). They don’t have any music or any ambiance in the under or upper floors. So make sure you sit in the ground floor or you will lose out on the ambiance.
I've never been scammed more than at this restaurant. I don't just mean financially. I mean emotionally, and psychologically. We had a terrible experience.
The food was fresh and tasty, but the preparation was so simple that it lacked interest. It was very loud, hard to hear my dinner companion. It was very expensive, even for NYC.
A classy experience. The Greek salad was particularly memorable: fresh, healthy and delicious. Excellent service. A tad pricey but great for a special occasion.
Food was great. Large appetizer and main course. The dessert size is just right. I couldn’t finish the dessert. We ordered the lunch menu at $32. It’s worth to have lunch at Milo’s. I will come back in the near future. I put down Birthday when making the reservation is opentable. At the end, the waiter served the extra dessert with the candle to the right person without I mention. That was amazing to me.
Milos was excellent as usual! We traveled to NYC to celebrate our anniversary and Milos was a must! Food is always great and the service outstanding!
