Incredible meal! Isa was an awesome service. Can’t wait to go back!
Georg-our waiter-was fantastic! Courteous, informed and thoughtful.
Our calamari was just perfect.
The sea bass beyond expectation.
We had a terrific “summer-like” dining experience.
Will return soon!
We always have an amazing dining experience at Estia! Love the Mediterranean Cuisine it is exceptional! Our experience was enhanced by the diligent attention by our Greek waiter, George, who recommended an incredible wine from Santorini!
The food was fantastic. I got the Estia Chips (great starter with a glass of Chianti, the Estia salad which was huge and the swordfish which may have been the best Ive had!
Halibut not up to it’s usual perfection....a little rubbery
Do not come here expecting welcoming service or pleasant staff. The establishment doesn’t seem to care to make their patrons comfortable in the least!
Always the BEST
Food was amazing! Just wish we had a better table to sit at outside.
George was an amazing server! He was attentive, very knowledgeable and personable. The food was superb and George made our dining experience even more enjoyable!
We decided on an early dinner on a Saturday with a wedding event set to take place that night. No lamb available? We ate seafood! We were served a salad other than the one we ordered. We loved it! Issa was our friendly and accomodating waiter. We sat outside, I think because of the wedding, but on a beautiful evening when it absolutely made sense. Another time will dine indoors on lamb. That said, we really enjoyed the food and the service. If you like Greek preparations, you will like Estia. Recommended!
Great ambiance. Prefer to sit inside than outdoor seating area which is in the parking lot. Food was great, but in my opinion was overpriced for serving sizes and quality, but was overall FRESH. Seafood selection is great and bar menu gave many options..service was awesome. Do yourself a favor and order the cheesecake for dessert!!
As always, our dinner was excellent. I tried something different this time and ordered the Lobster Linguine. It was outstanding. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food.
We ate outdoors, it was very pleasant. Food was very good.
We love Mediterranean food, thus we go to Estia again and again. Their Greek salad is among the best. The service is usually professional. Eating outside, even though it faces the parking lot, is great. It's Mainline pricey, however. They usually hype their very expensive fish, which our waitress did not do this time when we told her we were regulars.
Our server Freddie was excellent, very attentive and seamless in His service . food was good . We eat here a lot .
The only problem that we consistently run into is the main hostess who does the seating .. she is very abrupt and has treated us rudely more than once when we question our reservation. Since she is the first person you meet upon going to your restaurant - she needs training in dealing NICELY with clients or let go. She tends to make our initial “greeting” very unpleasant so we do not eat here as frequently as we used to .
We had a fabulous dinner there during Main Line Restaurant Week, which included three courses. A very good value. The lamb chops were the best I've ever had. We had a private, well-decorated outdoor table and the server did a great job.
We had a great dinner last night the weather was perfect for outside dinning. The food and service were great. We had the octopus which was so good and Lamb shank and Tuna for our dinner. Along with a really good bottle of Malbec. We definitely will be back.
George was our server and the service was excellent! The food was incredible like always. Estia is always a favorite ❤️ Gina was so nice and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back!
Everything was so delicious as usual! Our favorite restaurant!! Thank you Gina!!
We increased the number of guests from 4-7& restaurant was very accommodating. We all had a great time! Food, service & ambiance was fantastic!
My daughter and I decided to celebrate her birthday by having dinner at Estia last night. All aspects of the experience were excellent, including our very attentive (but never intrusive) waiter, Freddy. We both decided on the Restaurant Week prix fixe special: three delicious courses, plus their toasted bread and humus. Of particular note were the oh-so-amazing lamb chops as the entrée. So yes, five stars (out of five) for our dinner at Estia.
Excellent overall! Best fish I’ve had in a long time!
Special fish was offered. Price ended up being over $100 for 2 for this fish. Seemed excessive. It was restaurant week and 2 in our party ordered that. Portions smaller than expected but delicious. Dessert a disappointment. Nothing offered although we indicated that it was an anniversary celebration. Food delicious.
Excellent food service and ambience. Never fails to provide a great meal. Very consistent, Last night mixed seafood with orzo was wow!
Surprised with grilled sardines special that was fresh and amazing. Also enjoyed pan fried barbounia, a delicate sweet firm white fish from Mediterranean, much like Black Sea bass. They know how to showcase fresh fish!
Great spot for seafood and lamb in the Greek style. Prices are a bit high but portions are very large. Good service by waitstaff.
Amazing grilled octopus plate
Chocolate shortbread dessert was so delicious!
Our server Freddie was great. Very intuitive to our timing. Food was delicious as always!
Great food, great atmosphere, awesome service by our waiter Fred.
Always a delicious meal and the staff is so very friendly!!
We were a party of three. Two of us ate off the Restaurant week menu and one ate of the regular menu. The cocktails were very good if pricey for the portions. The food was outstanding. The appetizers were octopus and the Estia chips. Octopus was tender and served over tasty hummus. The chips were crisp and tasty. Main courses were lamb chops, grilled shrimp and sea bass. All were perfectly prepared and generous courses. Dessert was Baklava and Kormo. Both were excellent. Service was first rate. A very enjoyable dining experience.
Food was excellent. Service was poor. Started by us having to ask out server repeatedly for a restaurant week menu. Never got one from him. Had to get it from the hostess but only got one for the table was as if the didn’t want people ordered from that menu. Appetizers came after a long wait and we had to ask for bread for the table. When the entrees came we had to clear our plates so the server could put the mains down. I expect the plates to be cleared first then then next course served rather than us having to pick up plates and hold them while the next course is put down. Our server occasionally stopped by to check on us. Rather than ask if we needed anything or how was everything his go to line was what’s up guys. Small instructions like dressing on the side were ignored. Check was brought as soon as we finished dessert even though we hadn’t asked for it. No one was waiting for a table. It was 9:20 so maybe he was in a hurry to get home.
We love Estia, unfortunately last night the hostess was not accommodating with our table even though we had reservations weeks before. Other than that the wait staff was great except one woman who didn’t understand English and never brought us hot pepper. We have been to this restaurant many times and love the food.
Delicious food. Great service! Great good! Try it!
It is always a pleasure to dine at Estia Taverna! The food and service are consistently excellent and it's a great place to relax with friends over a wonderful, authentic Greek meal.
Love this place but maybe an off night.
Estia is my favorite restaurant, and the first one that my husband and I visited once we were vaccinated against Covid-19. Unfortunately last night wasn't the best experience. We were seated in what felt like a very crowded area, which made us uncomfortable. We asked to be seated at a booth as it was a special occasion and we noticed that several were empty (and that they had barriers which made us more comfortable than being seated out in the open floor plan with all seats around us full). The hostess was bordering on rude (facial expression and tone of voice) when she told us that those tables were only for parties of four. We did move to another small table that was in a better location, so that was fine. However, we then noticed that both larger tables and booths were being occupied by smaller parties, not just parties of four. I don't think I'll be back until the pandemic is completely over, it just isn't worth it. The food was amazing, as always....the attitude I could have done without.
My wife and I have dined at the downtown estia a number of times. To our surprise, we both though this location had much better food. It's hard to beat the ambiance of the downtown location, but the food more than makes up for it.
