Estia Taverna – Radnor
We arrived and were seated at a table with extreme glare due to sunset. I mentioned to server that I just couldn't order anything until the sun finally set. Staff made no steps to reduce glare (e.g., close blinds, etc.). For a high end restaurant, this was disappointing. Was my second time here. Won't come back.
When my Greek husband says the food is good then it’s good.
The food was delicious, the service is excellent. It was pretty pricey at $100 per person plus tip.
Awesome food and and awesome service. My wife really enjoyed her "lunch special" and I loved the swordfish ! They always serve great food and are extremely consistent. We love going there and will definitely return soon. Highly recommend !!
Always a treat to have dinner at Estia! Excellent, authentic Greek cuisine...the fish is amazing as was our dessert (Ekmek). Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
The ambiance is casual elegant with dimmed lighting and several different rooms to choose from. Seating is comfortable. But the food is the star here, especially the fresh and respectfully prepared seafood. Even the crusty bread with hummus to start the meal is delicious. The dolmades are amazing. Tender, flavorful, and accompanied with yogurt flavored with mint & fresh dill. There are abundant sides to order from - do not skip the horta (cooked greens) and roasted potatoes. Again, the seafood is a standout. The fresh grilled halibut with a squeeze of lemon will make you feel like you are in Greece, or Sicily. A nice wine by the glass list with several excellent choices from Greece. Estia keeps you wanting to come back for more.
Very nice luncheon. Very good service and food was exceptionally good with interesting choices. was tempted by many of the traditional Greek dishes, even though they are not the best for me.
Great food and service, but be prepared to dig deep into your wallet if you want tasty, fresh seafood.
Exceeded food and service as always. LOVE this place!
Have been here a few times and the food is always amazing! Love the variety of greek dishes from the starters/salads to the desserts! A treasure in the burbs for sure.
I met a friend for dinner and we enjoyed sharing spreads and eggplant chips accompanied by a nice Bordeaux and an old fashion. It was relaxing and delicious!
Great African shrimp. They are huge and the Greek salad was perfect
Shared appetizers. Simply delish!
Delicious cuisine exceeded my expectations Service was attentive and not intrusive.
The best food in the best environment. It never fails. Consistently fantastic!
I am a regular. It’s a must for to place. Period. Great food, staff, drinks, and atmosphere. Sometimes there is music and a sax and it totally sets the right vibe. I love every meal I have here and there have been many, many of them
Overall great and much better than last time. Decent selection of whiskeys. The theater menu/ price fix menu is a hit.
Went for Valentines Day dinner. Though I booked months in advance, we got the worst table in the house, right next to the kitchen. They had jammed so many tables in, the servers bumped into my chair every single time they came in or out of the dining room. Server didn't tell us the specials or go over the special valentine's menu until we specifically asked him to. Ordered the $85 seafood tower and half of it was still frozen when it came out. Not that we could eat it anyway since he didn't bring us proper utensils for it. Had to flag him dow for a 2nd round of drinks. Entre's were fine, but around the time we got them, half the serving staff must have come back from a smoke break, because the whole area of our table REEKED of cigarettes, which was significantly stronger every time one of the servers or bussers passed by and bumped my seat. It was gross. We spent a good deal of money for a pretty negative experience. We won't be going back for dinner again. May try the bar on a quiet night, but the whole experience left a very bad impression.
Absolutely incredible Valentines Dinner. Far exceeded expectations on such a crowded night!
We had the best experience ever at Estia Taverna and our waiter was George. From the unique delicious cocktails, to the seafood tower, and overall service; we will be back again. We will be sure to bring our entire family. We recommend this restaurant to folks who want great service and an authentic dining experience.
The ambiance matches the flavor, effectively reminding the diner of Greek Isles and views toward the Mediterranean. I had previously been for lunch and thought the menu reasonable and enticing, particularly for those who favor a Greek palette, but the predictable taste of dinner dishes did not seem to warrant the high prices. Nevertheless, the plates were tastefully presented and the staff attentive, though perhaps a bit hovering.
Estia Radnor never disappoints! Excellent service and delicious healthy food. Thank you for another lovely evening!
The long wall with the booth seating on one side and chairs on the other are a little tight for several parties of four. It feels like you are dining with your neighbor.
The food was excellent , however I wouldn’t want to sit in that area again
Food was delicious, service was spot on and did not feel rushed. Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back.
Thank you to George for great service including being very knowledgeable about menu especially the fish selection. Food was delicious and we had a lovely dinner.
Had a very enjoyable diner with my wife. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful in accommodating our requests as we are both vegetarians. While the menu seemed limited in vegetarian choices, he took the time to highlight some items that could be changed to accommodate us. Overall the food was very good and we will come back again.
We went for my son’s birthday. Lovely space, great service, but I was really surprised at the prices for what you were getting. Sorry, but the food is not even close to being good enough to charge the prices they do. Felt like a Main Line money grab. $19 for pita bread with three small 1/4 cups of diff spreads? $14 for sautéed greens side dish that was completely bland? Come on.
Place was super busy and I think food quality took a hit. Estia s chips weren’t crispy and octopus wasn’t hot...🤷♂️
We arrived for an early reservation, and were placed at the absolute worst table in the restaurant: right next to a waiter station, where the waiters gathered to speak with one another often. It seems that deuces are discriminated against at Estia. The deuces are uncomfortable, the banquette seats are too low for the table (I needed a pillow, which someone gave me, which was nice). When we left an hour later, we say that several four tops had remained unoccupied, and could easily have been given to us.
Food was good as usual. No bargain, but that's not expected at Estia.
I should have asked for another table, but the host should not offer that table again until all other tables where you can reasonably seat a two top are filled.
Lunch was outstanding. George was our server, great!!
Amazing meal, particularly the octopus appetizer. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal tremendously.
Excellent ambiance and service but the noise was unbearable. We couldn't hold a conversation over dinner without yelling.
Excellent Greek cuisine
I love Estia for both lunch and dinner. Lunch is great since it less crowded and you can have quieter meal. Food and service was great.
Delicious food and wonderful service.
Absolutely amazing as always!!
