Slow service but in the end it worked by not filling us too much.
Restaurant week. Good value. Large portions. Appetizer and entree were great. Salad was ok. Dessert I would not order again.
Everything was wonderful. Perfect service. Delicious appetizers and salad. Complimentary birthday dessert. Will return again and again. Just a little too much salt in the Moussaka for me. The table next to us loved it- so I have order less salty food for my palate
Great service, great food!
We had lunch here for our anniversary, and it was great! The server was very accommodating. We both had the express lunch. I had souvlaki with Greek salad, and my husband had the soup of the day and the fish of the day. Everything was very well-prepared and tasty. They even surprised us with dessert with a candle for our anniversary! We definitely made a good choice in going to Estia!
Great food and beautiful restaurant. Staff is very attentive and polite. Truly enjoyed our dinner.
Everything was great! Expensive, but worth it!! Started out with the meatballs and they were super tasty! We had the tuna and the lobster linguini for dinner and they were both delicious.
We were warmly greeted by a friendly hostess and seated in a generous booth. Brianna our server was pleasant and well informed of the menu. Her service was wonderful. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed the entire experience. It’s a beautiful restaurant. We will be back for the tuna tartare and the fish of the day for sure!
Having been to the Philadelphia location multiple times, always a positive experience, my friend and I were happy to see that we were nearby this location after attending a funeral. Sadly, the funeral was the highlight of the night. We were seated immediately, and our water glasses filled-great start! Then we sat. We sat for 25 minutes with no attention before I decided to check with the manager. He clearly sent someone to our table, but the exertion of it was obviously too much as the manger did not smile, apologize, or offer any type of kindness. The server was great once we got him, even if we had to sit with dirty plates in front of us for a little too long. The food was delicious.
Love this restaurant!
Always delicious meal and service is excellent. My favorite place!!
The menu & service are always amazing!
Estia Taverna was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was very, very good. The rooms are very tastefully done. I have to say it again - our waitress was awesome!
We regularly eat out and have no problem spending good money for great food/service. That being said the waiter misinformed us about the pricing of the fish. Invariably, we paid $80 for one grilled fish which leads me to the poor value assessment. An apology without any valid effort to remedy the miscommunication seems weak.
The grilled octopus and lightly fried veggies were fabulous!
Excellent meal. Nice way to celebrate Valentine's Day on the weekend after the day. The grilled octopus is not to be missed! Very attentive server and found the price fix menu a good value. Sunday night was much a more quiet ambiance compared to a couple of other times when our visit was very noisy. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
THIS WAS THE VALENTINE DINNER FOR MY SWEETHEART AND I. IT WAS RECOMMENDED BY FRIENDS AFTER CONSIDERING OTHER LOCATIONS. WE MUST COME AND CHECK OUT THE HAPPY HOUR IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
The waiter service was very attentive and always checking if our food was prepared right and our drinks were always filled.
We dined at Estia Taverna for the first time Saturday night. The food was excellent as well as the service.it was a very nice evening.
I got the sea bass and my date got the steak. We shared the Greek salad and got the chips as an appetizer.
It is pricey but nice for a special occasion.
I found the food mediocre at best, diner food. The young hostess was attractive but not very friendly at all. The waiter was a nice man but never shared specials or dessert options.
The food was very good. My husband was on a gluten free lactose free diet and he was able to select from a number of choices. The fish options included whole fish which we were not accustomed to but it worked out well. The dessert choice for us to share was rice pudding (or we could have had sorbet). The portion was small (we really don't need a large portion) but delicious.
I am never disappointed when I visit Estia, the food is great and so is the ambiance. The servers there are very attentive. Great fresh seafood.
Very nice restaurant. The service was excellent
would recommend for special occasions. The Fish and the Octupus were rated 5 stars.
Great, fresh seafood. Interesting Greek wines to try.
food was great as usual, might be a little pricey for some, but it's worth it.
With the tip it was over 200 dollars for a party of 2. I would been much better off at Bertucci or the Chophouse. Menu is short. They have one beef item in the menu. We asked for the stark medium well. The 14 ounce steak was under cooked even after sending it back. 40 dollar wasted. Also I don't know how it's possible but they also did not do the Chilean Sea Bass well at all. This one will not be going back. 830 reservation yet the service felt like it was 11PM with our server disappearing for long periods of time.
It’s pricey but it’s worth it. It’s the real deal.
Prompt service... loved my lamb chops
Easily the best food and service in the area. Would not hesitate to return, or to recommend to others.
Excellent experience!! Perfect for a special night out with friends.
Excellent fish! Look forward to their tasty Greek salad and yummy desserts. Service was good; but I had to ask for water refill. Parking lot had patches of ice which weren’t addressed. Glad I didn’t slip on ice!
Great lunch. Expected Greek favorites and many innovative selections. We started with the addortment of Greek spreads, thst were as good as any i have ever had followed by the Fish Gyros. The fish was fresh halibut, grilled and combined with vegetables and my requested tziki, exceptional. Real Taverna atmosphere, awesome service. Can't wait to go back.
Slow service. Food was good, not special.
Loved the restaurant. The food was fantastic & so was the service.
Most unusual preparation on some items. Wish I could have tried them all!!
My only negative was it was a very crowded
Saturday & it was very noisy!!
The food is always really good here and the drinks are pretty good too. It’s great to have a city quality restaurant in Jersey.
I was concerned that I would not enjoy this location as much as I did the one downtown. And I was right. I liked it better. It was quieter and more intimate, more conducive to conversation and to savoring the the meal. The menu is about 1/2 the size but my favorites were all on there.
We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food. The presentation of the plates was beautiful. Everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend.
My branzino lunch was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waiter did not rush us and we sat catching up for quite a while. Lunch noise level is preferable to evening. Estia’s interior is more European cafe than a typical South Jersey eaterie. I have been here numerous times and plan to come back.
