Lovely meal. The Theater Menu was a great way to enjoy 3 courses at a good price. Also need to recommend the Pomegranate Margarita - delicious!
My husband and I were celebrating a special event and we chose Estia. We are very glad we did! The ambience was especially nice and Miguel was very attentive. The food and cocktails were exceptional! My husband was planning our return before we left!
Enjoyed a wonderful meal after visiting the art museum. Lovely restaurant, great ambiance, excellent service, great food.
The building lost the power, after we ordered. Nobody knew what was the issue. Sitting in the dark, hungry , unable to have dinner. Not a good experience.
One of our favorite spots in the city. The food, service, and atmosphere are always exceptional. And our waitress, Vera ,is a perfect complement to all of the above. We look forward to our next visit.
We had a great dinner ... but our table for six was out in the middle of a very loud main area, it was difficult to carry on a conversation with anyone other than the person next to you. Food was excellent though.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Philadelphia! So glad we decided to go here for dinner because the food was AMAZING. We started with the spanakopita and octopus …..both of which were tasty and the spanakopita reminded me of my Yiayia’s! Then, for dinner we got the lamb chops and Chilean sea bass…… the bass was to die for! Both meals cooked to perfection and were presented very nicely. We didn’t get dessert because we were so stuffed but we will save that for next time! Our server Irving was knowledgeable and made sure we had the perfect wine and food pairing. Also, be sure to check out the downstairs event space it is beautiful!
First time at this restaurant, and I will definitely be back!! My lamb was cooked perfectly, my margarita was fantastic, and our server was gracious and witty.
Thank you for such a great dining experience.
Estia has been at this location for some years, but the quality of its food and service hasn't changed. The food was uniformly good (very fresh seafood, e.g.), beautifully prepared and served. We were made to feel welcome and not rushed at all.
Estia is a beautiful restaurant. We asked for Javier as our server and he once again did an outstanding job. This time we brought friends and they were just as impressed as we. Thank you so much!!
Whenever we visit Philadelphia we visit Estia and this has been for many years now. The fresh/whole fish is what to order - It is always prepared extraordinarily well. The service and knowledge of the staff is excellent and we enjoyed a wonderful greek wine. Don't think of this as a traditional Greek restaurant - (although you can order classic dishes as well).
Incredible. Our family of 10 had a marvelous time. Great food and service. Thank you.
We had a small gathering of 9 people to celebrate my daugher's 40th birthday. It was one of the few restaurants who could handle a number greater than 6 people because of Covid-19 restructions. The tables were set far enough apart so that conversations did not run into other diners. We were seated in the center of the restaurant with plenty of lighting but I did see tables where people had to use their phones to see the menu. The food was excellent, salt is always a problem when eating out but in most dishes I tasted the herbs verses the salt. Estia also has many items for those folks who are vegan and who do not eat meat. Service was great and I feel I should have tipped more than the 20% I gave them for the service.
Highly recommend the Greek salad, the tsipura, and the octopus
The hummus is traditionally not Greek and was not tasty on the “watery” side
Tzatziki was excellent
Calamari was nice and light
Will definitely dine there again
Second time visiting, this time just a girls’ night with my daughter. Delicious Octopodi for appetizers, Greek wine to drink, lamb shank was so tender and flavorful, and the Moussaka was amazing! Love the ambiance and decor, wait staff friendly and prompt! Will be back!
Our waiter often walked right past us without checking. He seemed out of sorts. Food was phenomenal!
Estia is a wonderful restaurant. The food is beautifully prepared and delicious -- and is served by a competent and pleasant staff.
It has gotten quite expensive as have other restaurants in this COVID era. But we'll be back for the excellent fish preparations,
Return to Estia and we were not disappointed - great meal as always - very busy with groups which distracted the wait staff a little, but still, our waiter was attentive and took good care of us ...
Great service, great food!
Everything was great, the menu had a ton of great options but portions are big so limited our order.
Octopus and spanakopita were great starters and the halibut and swordfish dishes were also winners . Both came with vegetables so no need for a big side .
Service was very good.
Food and service above average but not exceptional. The restaurant is beautiful and noise level was perfect for dinner conversation. Pricey for quantity and quality of food.
Dinner with old friends. Great ambiance and service. Food OK.
Ate outside in the space they set up. It was nice for us since we have a little one so are still paranoid about Covid. Appreciated our waitress wore a mask. Food was great, we shared the outdoor space with one other family initially. Recommend!
The food was excellent. I strongly recommend the Estia Chips, Dover Sole, Spinach Rice and Grilled Vegetables.
Excellent overall experience. Food was very well prepared and our waiter could not have done anything better. Pricey but well worth it.
Service not match it’s place and food……………………………………………
Always a very good a meal however last nights server who seemingly was very experienced made our experience feel rushed. We had not even begun our desert and we’re contemplating additional drinks when she placed the check and came back multiple times looking for the Cc. There were literally 5 tables seated and no line.
Excellent as usual
It was a great experience. I will definitely be coming back. Great food, great service and and overall great experience. Props to the owner, the chefs and my server Miguel.
Wine on restaurant’s wine list was not available?
Without an alternative for a Riesling… poor service fish used to be much better before COVID…
Great place for elegant dining. Loved the lamb chops and the staff did an amazing job serving my party of 11.
Incredible meal. Everyone should eat Estia chips at least once in their lifetime! The fish (salmon tartar and sea bass) were perfect. We are outside -- delightful setting!
Great corner spot for family dinner. Food was terrific. Food portions perfect. Drinks were good. Server was nice but could’ve been a little more attentive. It was more a staffing issue. Restaurant not overcrowded. Fantastic ambiance. Will go back!
Lovely dinner and service
Estia is a great place for well-prepared Mediterranean cuisine. The service was friendly and efficient. Despite a large number of patrons the spacing of three tables makes for a nice relatively private experience. First class all the way …
Loved the Estia chips as always and the lamb chops. ALways a great meal
Estia is expensive but the food and ambience are very good.
Excellent food and service. A great experience. Will be a regular
Lovely experience. Server was very personable and helped us pick out a nice Greek wine to go with our meal. Food was delicious with generous probs
The food and ingredients were so fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. The service excellent. The best meal we have had in Philadelphia. Wonderful and authentic experience.
