Spaces course servings well and asks if you have theater tickets.
Amazing food. I love the lamb and the salads. Grilled calamari was excellent as well.
We often go to Estia prior to the theatre: food is always good, friendly service, and generally not too noisey (so that we can hear ourselves talk to each other!) The prix fixe pre-theatre menu is definitely attractive. We'll be back!
We have been to Estia several times for pre-theater dinner, but what made this occasion special is the great service we received from our waiter. he was very attentive, and when we told him that we had theater tickets, he brought our food out course, by course and we didn't feel rushed like we have been during previous pre-theater dinners. The food was hot, tasty and presented well.
Theatre Menu was perfect. Window seat overlooking the Academy of Music was fun to watch people getting ready for that evening's show. Food and service were excellent.
We made a last minute reservation on the way back to the garage from St Marks. We have dined with you many times but never at the last minute. It was like being in an Oasis , so cool, so quiet, and as usual, the prix fixe lunch was reasonably priced and so good. The Avgolemno was a great start. The Fish was sautéed to perfection Loved the yellow squash and potato mix. Bloody Mary’s just right. Finish with Ouzo gelato, Devine. Our waitress was cordial, speedy, great service. Another lovely meal.
Always come here before the theater. Great menu with plenty of healthy options. This visit were were celebrating a birthday. Left a message on OPEN Table and confirmed it with the host upon my arrival. He assured me the server was well aware of my request. However, when dessert came, no birthday celebration was included. I was very disappointed.
This wont prevent me from returning . Just wanted to state my disappointment.
Because it is Greek, it is easy to forget what an outstanding restaurant this is. The Greek food is very good, but it isn't just an ethnic specialty. Near the Academy of Music, Kimmel and other theatres, the pre-theater menu is a great value. Usually one course or another isn't excellent - not the case of Estia, all three courses are top notch. Highly recommended.
Lunch before a performance at the Academy of Music at Estia was perfect. The lunch express was a great value. Two courses for $18.00. I had spanokopita and chicken kebobs . There were lots of options on the express menu. My two dining partners had four other dishes, all of which were delicious.
Great as usual.
Really good food and nice ambiance. Had a business dinner here and all were very happy with the meat.
This was my second time dining at Estia - Philadelphia. Always delicious and a good time. I love the warm atmosphere and kind waiters/waitresses. The food is exceptional, and it's a cozy, vibrant spot to get away from the bustling, loud city. Could be great for a nice date night or business outing. The offering of a private room is also available and set in a pretty wine cellar. It's a great spot!
Estia is one of our favorites because they always get it right from start to finish.
My husband and I had a delicious Greek meal served by an attentive waiter. The pre-theater menu was just right. There was an extra cost for my lamb chops which were extraordinary. Well worth the additional $12. We would definitely return and I will have the lamb chops again.
The service was great. The food was outstanding. I will definitely be going back. Great location if doing anything on Broad street
Beautiful restaurant that's so close to the Academy of Music and Kimmel Center. I was actually stunned at how BIG the restaurant is! However, they sat our party of 6 in a nice intimate space that was grotto like, and I noticed they also had a private room for 8.
The food is outstanding from apps to dessert. The grilled calamari is unbelievable--highly recommend. Also had the grilled shrimp, (be warned--only 4 served, so if you're sharing, be prepared.), and the stunning octopus. Fish lovers--this is your dream---so fresh and so well prepared. Dover Sole, Lavrikas, and chilean sea bass were our meals---incredibly fresh and tasty. Lamb chops were cooked to perfection.
The service was polite, pleasant, unobtrusive, helpful with the menu. I feel badly when I read reviews that their server was the opposite of what I experienced, and certainly, this was not the case. I even told them ahead of time booking through Open Table, that I wanted to be out by 715pm for our 8pm show, and they were literally handing me the check at 715pm!! Now that's service!
add 6 desserts, a $70 bottle of wine, 3 cappucinos, and one mixed drink, and it came to $100/pp so throw another $120 for tip (20%). Cheap--no, but worth it for a restaurant of this caliber. I highly recommend, esp if you want a place close to the theater and have people with you that are not as fast on foot or can't handle a walk to Rittenhouse for dinner. Greek food is great!!
We went to Estia before a show in town. I was running a little late at our waiter was amazing in making sure we got out in time. Food was delicious and the pre-theater price fix Can’t be beat!
Prices very expensive for portions
Best salad and most beautiful tomatoes! Great fish! Chocolate ice cream was the fudgiest!
Just a great dining experience. Courteous and attentive staff, delicious food, and reasonably priced drink. We look forward tinthe next time there.
I went ther for the first time with my son & friends for pre theatre dinner. As soon as I read Greek in the description I was definitely eager to try it. I went with sea food and baklava & all was great. The wine was very good even though it wasn't my favorite but it had a very rich flavor.
Our waiter was an older Asian guy & he was terrific. An excellent host. I'd love to go there again.
It's a. Little more pricy than a usual restaurant so I can't go there as much as I wish!
Our server was superior in every way!
The food was "top notch"
We will be back
The meal and service were fantastic. Brandon recommended some fantastic dishes (octopus, lamb, walnut cake), and a great wine to go with it ( Black Stallion). We will be back!
Had lunch with my girl on a Sunday. Octopus and the Romaine salad were outstanding. Cocktails and wine selection first rate. Romantic setting with great service. Will be back for dinner!!
Good food and service. The lunch special (appetizer and main course) is a good value - $19. But the other additional items are rather expensive - wine, cappuccinos, chips, etc.
My family and I came here after a graduation and had a perfect night. Service was impeccable, food was amazing. Definitely recommend it for a memorable night.
Food and service are amazing
The seafood is always fresh and delicious! My favorite place for dinner before the ballet!
We were a party of 8 and Brandon took SUPERB care of us. We had early reservations (5 pm)and had to be out by 6:15. We are still talking about the amazing experience. There is a happy hour menu and drinks. It was perfect. The tomato and feta salad was so good. We have never seen tomatoes that red. The tuna tartare was spectacular and my son's shrimp cocktail was enormous. The shrimp were massive. You MUST go to Estia when you are in Philadelphia. We are already planning our next time!
We expected a wonderful experience at Estia, and we got it.
First time eating at estia for our wedding anniversary. From our apps to dessert the food was terrific. The manager and wait staff were on point.
Looking forward to our next visit.
First time back in a couple of years since we no longer live in the area. Wonderful meal. Incredibly fresh flavors and seasonings. Service was solid but a side order of asparagus got to our table long after the entrees were served and only after we reminded the server. But we will be back!
I love Estia. It simply never disappoints.
Service - A+
Food - A+
We had an amazing delicious dinner for a graduation celebration
Lovely setting! Great food! Perfect for pre- show dining!
The five of us loved every dish we got. Our server was friendly and very accomodating. The ambiance is very mediterranian and charming. We will definitely return. Yum!
We very much enjoyed our meal and the server was lovely. However, it took quite a bit longer than we expected and we had a show to catch. Still, we will probably return. It was overall a nice experience and the food is quite good.
The theatre menu was perfectly sized and with excellent choices. Just enough to feel comfortable sitting for 2 hours later. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the sauces were outstanding. We come here every time with have something at the Kimmel Center - so convenient and always has room. Great seating by the windows to watch people go by.
They’ve discontinued brunch and the quality of food has gone way down from the last time we were there, maybe a year ago
