Estia - Philadelphia

This was our first time dining here since COVID started. We were pretty disappointed with service and with overall outside sitting arrangements. The prices certainly went up which is completely understandable, however the quality of service and food had to be adjusted accordingly.

Amazing experience. We’re told to get the Estia Chips and so glad we did ....amazing. beautiful and fresh Greek salad, too. Everything was good - very appealing & warm restaurant.

Sake and Augustine were amazing!

It was the first place we wanted to go since they reopened all the restaurants in Philadelphia. By far, our favorite destinations in the city. Our waitress, Vera, is always very accommodating. And the food was exceptional as always.

My third time dining at Estia but the first time for my family on Saturday evening at 4:30pm. Before dining in I made sure to make a reservation on OPENTABLES. (AWARE OF COVID RESTRICTIONS) I made the reservation at 2:15 for 4 adults.( Wanting to make a reservation for 7 but prompting me to call the restaurant because Opentables wouldn't allow a table for more than 4). I made sure to place in the note section that I was bringing 5 adults and 2 children and was wondering if they were able to accommodate us because of COVID-19 restrictions. I left my number for someone to give me a call back. Around 2:45 I received a call back from Monica letting me know that she saw my note. I made sure to confirm with her that I will be bringing 5 adults and I will need 2 high-chairs for the kids and if this was allowed? She made me aware that they were heat systems placed on the floor and was concerned of the highchairs and potentially the kids burning their legs. I thanked her for her consideration and told her the 2nd highchair can even sit on a chair because he is 3 years old. She told me that she will fit the 2 high-chairs in the back of the table and 5 chairs.

I was all set to come at 4:30 and when I did it was a disaster. First and foremost, the table wasn't even set with the proper amount of chairs. There was a table set for 3 and 2 highchairs. The man was arguing with me stating that COVID restrictions only allow 4 people to sit on a table. I told him I completely UNDERSTAND and RESPECT the restrictions that were placed throughout the whole STATE, and told him I was very confused on why Monica stated over the phone that she was able to accommodate my family of 5 and 2 highchairs for the kids. He kept insisting that it was my fault and didn't even apologize. He made a whole scene with other people dining and I was completely embarrassed. I knew that I took all the measures on the phone with Monica and made sure I was allowed to dine outside with the amount of people

Great meal and comfortable outdoor seating with heaters. Service was impeccable - Saki was our waiter and he was outstanding. He was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations.

Had a wonderful time at Estia. I absolutely love this restaurant it is truly one of my happy places. I took my best friend out for her 30th since with COVID things have to be small. What a wonderful slice of time where we got to worry about the stresses of the world and got to enjoy our absolute favorite meal on earth, thats right, those estia chips and lamb chops! nothing can bring my heart peace and happiness quite like a dinner with my best friend and lamp chops in hand. we look forward to returning once indoor dining has commenced.

Lamb chops, Estia chips and tomato salad were superb - as was the service. Great place for a birthday celebration.

Food is always outstanding but we ate outside and it was noisy due to traffic.

Amazing place. Amazing service. Amazing food. I’m as Greek as they come and this place gets my stamp of approval. Wouldn’t change a single thing.

The ambiance and the food are always impeccable. One suggestion would be to sit away from the windows on a cooler night. Due to covid/dinner regulations, all windows had to be opened at least 10" to allow fresh air in. This proved to be a rather chilly experience as we tried to enjoy our food. Besides that, Estia is one of our favorites and I would highly recommend!

Eating at Estia was a wonderful experience overall. From the delicious food and appetizing menu to the outstanding service and cozy atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and would highly recommend it to others.

We had the most delicious food and the only problem is I need to go back and have the lamb chops instead of the lamb shank. Our waiter's recommendations were amazing and I should have listened about the chops.

Even outdoors this is a wonderful experience. There food is excellent. The service is white glove. The ambiance they create is nice. Lovely place and I have always enjoyed it.

Last minute change of plans on anniversary. Have been to Estia several times before. As always, the service and food were great!

We recently made our first trip to Estia. Everything about the experience was great. The food and service were excellent.

It was my first time here and I enjoyed it. Service was top notch. I had the Chilean sea bass, and although good, I’d opt for something else next time. We got the flambé cheese as an appetizer- delicious. And of course baklava for dessert. 5 stars!

Estia is a dependable choice. Unfortunately, the downtown location has struggled through the pandemic and some wine selections are challenged as a result. Our server Betty was fantastic, however!

Estia is one of our favorite restaurants in Philadelphia. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner there 7 years ago and went back to celebrate our anniversary. We had an amazing meal, so flavorful and fresh! The Dover sole is always outstanding! Our server was attentive, friendly and professional. There was a "Happy Anniversary" card at our table when we arrived. Put Estia on your list of "must try" in Philadelphia.

One of my favs when dining in Philly. The octopadi is as good as I’ve had anywhere. Tonight I enjoyed the Mediterranean grilled bass, absolutely amazing. Friends selected the lamb, and raved over its preparation, flavor and tenderness. Excellent selection of Greek wines. If you haven’t experienced Estia, I highly recommend it. Truly a foodies delight.

The server was excellent- the hostess initially tried to seat us on the sidewalk the furthest from the restaurant when very few people were there - we did not appreciate that - as there were nice seats near a heater that were covered -

We are looking for a new favorite restaurant so everything counts

Absolutely magical, stunning dinning room, charming waiter. Food was incredibly fresh and beautifully plated. I felt transported to Greece, thank you for this amazing dinner and urge everyone to try Estia.

Great place!

We have been to Estia before and it was always a great experience. On a Thursday the food was less than ok. The fresh was not freshly cooked but reheated. We were disappointed.

New to Philly. This place was so good, I ordered takeout of the exact same thing I had my first time ever there, 24 hours earlier. Greek salad and grilled octopus appetizer . Heavenly.

Great food and service. Highly recommend.
