The service was fantastic. Everything was incredibly fresh. The whole fish was SPECTACULAR!
We had an amazing experience. The food was delicious the service was on point and the total value for our pre ballet dinner was perfect. Lamb chops were the highlight, but everything was great.
Oh my gosh, the service was sooooooo bad, it’s hard to believe really. The food we eventually got was great but we had to wait soooo long for everything and thus were even late to our show. Wanna know how bad it was, 2 tables near us both left before they got their food! That says it all right there! Sucks cause I really had a good feeling for this place! Guess we have to find a new pre-show place to dine!
Great service !
One of the best restaurants in center city. The food is always delicious. The service was exceptional.
Love Estia!! never had a bad meal there!! The service is always very good and I try to go every time I have tickets for the Academy or the Kimmel.
Truly an AMAZING dining experience. My out-of-town guests just raved about Estia and it being the best meal they’ve ever had at a restaurant. That’s saying something as my guests are very well traveled. I dine at Estia often and would agree, it’s quite wonderful. Socki, our server, is quintessentially Estia. Enjoyed and loved it all.
We were there on a Saturday night prior to attending an orchestra concert. Our reservation was for 5:30 and we were seated promptly. It was very crowded and noisy. Our food arrived promptly but we got the feeling we were being rushed even though there were no people standing waiting for tables. Perhaps it was because we ordered from the Theater Menu.
Still a fabulous restaurant and a fabulous eating experience.
Mike was our server...he was very attentive. Great evening.
Great food and service, fresh fish!
grilled octopus, vegetable tower with taziki is a must! Cheesecake with greek yogurt, smooth, a must. Consistent, great food, a lot of seating, long time restaurant, traditional decor. Long time, old world, good restaurant.
We were able to have comfortable conversation without excessive noise. The food was served hot and everyone enjoyed their fish. The service was friendly if a little bit casual. The server worked to make sure that we received and enjoyed our meal with time to make it to our 7:30 curtain. It was a fancy meal, not cheap, but felt special.
Our Server Annie was excellent! Food was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful! Would highly recommend to everyone!
Friendly service and great recommendations for what to order. We loved everything.
This was a perfect business lunch. The reservation was picked up and we were placed at the correct table with a window, the food was great and the service was excellent!
Limited choices on price fixe lunch menu. Major up charge for the lobster entree ($24). Convenient location for pre theater events at the Kimmel Center.
Gorgeous restaurant, excellent service.
As someone who asked for a quiet table due to hearing issue I was disappointed this couldn’t be accommodated. Otherwise dinner was delicious and service was excellent
Service is what makes a meal and sadly our server was not what you expect from this restaurant. I had to ask twice for my wine. the others received theirs promptly. She never apologized for this. Wrong food was brought to table, again no apology. It was not busy when she took our order so there is not excuse for her mistakes.
Great restaurant, I have no complaints about it but it just was not remarkable like other places I’ve been in Philadelphia. Again, if you like greek food, you won’t be disappointed at all!
Food & service were fantastic! We came for restaurant week & the prefixed dessert menu all contained nuts but when we mentioned a nut allergy they were very accommodating with switching a dessert out for us so we did not miss out! We will definitely be back!
Estia was a wonderful experience! The entire restuarant is very captivating and the service was excellent. The food was delicious, hot and perfect in every way possible. Could not have loved it anymore!
We sat for 20 minutes on Friday night before we were greeted!
We weren’t able to get dessert because we would have missed our orchestra and the waiter did it even apologize! It was a terrible experience and i was trying to make a nice experience since it was the place i used to go with mom before theater
While the prices are on the high side, the food and service was outstanding. We were also able to get to our play at the Forrest Theater in time, without being rushed.
Estia is one of my favorite restaurants in Philly.
Mediocre dish, and definitely not restaurant week worthy.
We went during restaurant week, and ordered through the $35 prix fixe menu.
The mussels appetizer was delicious.
The sea bass was tender and perfectly cooked. The main dish does not come with sides included, but that was fine as it was a 3 course meal.
Thee restaurant willingly substituted sorbet for one of the desserts for a member of our party who was allergic to nuts.
Service was friendly and accommodating. The pace of the meal was a little slow, which was fine for our group of friends but might annoy someone in more of a rush.
The decor was beautiful and rustic; a little piece of Greece in Philadelphia. We ordered from the restaurant week $35 menu. I ordered the spanikopita, sea bass & baklava. All three were amazing.
Arty enjoyed the perfectly seasoned lamb chops, which were absolutely divine. The baklava was the best I've ever tasted. I would definitely recommend a Tito's martini or the Greek Bees Knees gin drink. We can't wait to go back!
I made a reservation for 9/26/19 at 5:30 PM. We arrived early and were excited to have the lamb, when we were escorted to our table we walked by 3 vacant tables and were placed in the back corner. There was no room to even move around let alone get into the seats. We had lamps and other items in the way as well as the tv hanging right above. We asked the waitress if we could move but was told they have a 20 top coming and the tables were claimed. However, there was 3 tables with 4 chairs at each, if there was a 20 top coming soon this would've been set up already. And the table we were at would've made more sense to utilize. We felt personally offended because we were the only black people in the restaurant and felt like they just wanted us out of sight. I have never been treated in this way and it hurts that this has happened. No matter what we asked there was an excuse and reason as to why we couldn't move. But we were early so this makes no sense, shame on that staff.
A disappointed patron.
Food was phenomenal and service was very good, but there was quite a long wait between seating and first approach by our server, and then again while waiting for our bill. Otherwise it was an amazing meal.
The food during Restaurant Week was fabulous. Our server, however, disappeared and was terrible. What should have been an hour business lunch was 2.5 hours and the restaurant was not very busy at the time we were there.
This was our second visit to Estia and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and our server, Mike, was great.
Love this place, especially when we can get a booth in the back. The food is fresh and authentic and the staff very responsive. My second visit in a week!
Went during CC restaurant week. The food and service were great. I'll definitely return!
It was our first time dining at Estia. We loved it! We ordered from the restaurant week menu and our meals were delicious. Geat value for what was offered for Restaurant Week. The mussels and lamb chops were subperb! Usually Restaurant Week can turn out to be a miss instead of a hit. Estia showed exactly what they are about "exceptional" and we will definitely be back.
Food was pretty good. Service was alright! Not my favorite!
Restaurant week. Ok at special r.w. pricing but would not be a great value at regular prices. One can find better Greek cuisine elsewhere in town.
Unbearably loud. I liked the food but the noise level diminished the quality of the experience.
Restaurant week very busy but we were well taken care of !!!
Amazing food-especially the lamp chop
