Seasonal Italian Restaurant. Focused on Handmade pasta, bread and pizza. We get all of our products as locally sourced as possible.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: James Trees

From the OpenTable editors: When James Beard-nominated chef James Trees opened Esther’s Kitchen in 2018, he helped put the Arts District on the city’s culinary map. Now in a stylish new space with an open kitchen and whimsical animal wallpaper, the refined Italian spot still turns out the same wood-fired sourdough pizzas and knockout pastas (get the rigatoni carbonara with snap peas) that made it an instant Vegas classic.

Our waiter was too busy talking to come to our table when we sat down. After 10 minutes he came to take our order. It was a Monday and not busy. We ordered a Caesar salad with chicken on it which we did not receive chicken on it. We ordered meatballs on the side because we wanted protein,he made such a big deal that he was going to have to ask the manager to remove the charge for the chicken. We ask for the check and a to go box because we had to go to the airport. He did give us our check right away but after waiting 5 minutes for the to go box we just left the bread and spread. I’m hard press to return since there are so many good place to eat in the Art district.

When I was choosing where to eat with my friends I wanted to choose somewhere where everyone would enjoy the food. Some of the people in my group have special diets, and all of their needs were met. I was hoping to eat somewhere that would repair my own relationship with food, and this place really helped me do that. Food can be just the medicine you are looking for, and I would consider Esther's a spot for culinary healing :D. Definitely coming back.

We go to Esther’s about once a month and it’s always outstanding m, however this visit was exceptional. After an amazing breakfast, our incredible bartender offered us a very nice desert and 2 glasses of champagne because it is our anniversary. So thoughtful! Love this place!!

Wonderful evening and excellent food. The tables for 2 are super small for Italian type dishes but the waitress did a good job navigating. The boar lasagna was excellent and the bread is WOW!

The service was outstanding - our waitress and all of the servers! Food was amazing - our group ordered multiple dishes from the sourdough bread with spread, appetizer, pasta, specialty, and side. We wanted to taste a bit of everything. Plenty of food for our group of four women. Nothing was overlooked. I will go there any time I am in Vegas!

After hearing great things about Esther's Kitchen, we decided to check it out. Unfortunately, are experience did not live up to the hype. For starters, it was loud and crowded. Even though we had our own table, the table next to us was so close that we felt like we were sharing our meal with strangers. The service was slow. I ordered a drink and then had to wait 20+ minutes for it. The food was okay. I ordered the Brunch Pizza and it was good enough. However, my wife ordered the Proper Omelette and it was served cold, was neither appealing nor appetizing. When the server was informed that my wife was not happy about her meal, rather than ask what she could do to make it right she (the server) asked if we would like to see a desert menu. Did I mention the service was slow? Anyways, we were disappointed with our experience at Esther's. Again, we had heard good things so maybe we just caught them on an off-day?

I eat more on the veggie side and my husband is more a meat and potato guy. Ester's Kitchen hits both needs. Food was delicious.

Noisy, but you can still carry on a conversation. So, it's good. Zucca was amazing. Ask for some extra honeycomb on the budino. Get that crunch on every bite. Girella amazing as well. Experience can be a carbohydrate tsunami. I would suggest ordering bread, splitting pasta for an appetizer, then get a non-pasta entrée. Save room for dessert. Give the eyelet cells of your pancreas a break. Take home a doggy bag to make sure. Give the islet cells of your pancreas a break.
