Estelle Wine Bar and Bistro
Love the ambiance and the food
We love coming to Estelle for a nice dinner. The service is alway friendly and knowledgeable.
From start to finish the experience was underwhelming. My server didn't bring a drinks menu until I asked and when she finally brought it immediately asked if I knew what I wanted as if in the microsecond that she handed it to me I could figure it out. I had the chicken entree. It was way overcooked, over salted and the skin burnt. I was so over the whole experience I couldn't be bothered to send it back. I complained but wasn't given a discount off the food. I wouldn't eat here again!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Estelle and they managed also a delicious vegan option from their menu. Can’t wait to go again.
Not up to expectations - how this restaurant got rated so high is a really good question !
Wonderful lunch experience. Everything was perfect
Top 5 meals Ive ever had! Chef Kajdan and his staff blew me away
I loved the live entertainment and the service was notable.
The food selection was very limited for the price of $44.00. We were very disappointed in the selection of food choices and food taste. The atmosphere was pleasant as well as the waitress. However, it was not worth the $44.00 charged for Father’s Day. We really should have requested a refund...
I made reservations at Estelle’s because my husband requested it specifically for our Father’s Day celebration. We have been to Estelle’s in previous occasions and always enjoy it. And this time again, we enjoyed it tremendously!
Viewed menus and booked our reservation on Open Table this morning. Arrived at 1:15pm. Brunch is offered on their menu but no days are designated. In “most cities” brunch is offered on Saturday and Sundays. I made a good effort to call and inquire before anyway we got there. Well, nobody answered! I called the main hotel number and the operator transferred me all 3 times. So we get there and hostess hands us lunch menus. When the bartender arrives to greet us, I inquire about the brunch menu. Then she informs us it only on Sundays. I was starving and upset. Also the lunch menu seemed lackluster so we left. Will never go back. They missed too many marks before we ever got to eat. Having brunch at Babalou’s now
Dinner before musical
This place has gone down hill.
Once was quite good.
We usually have dinner at Estelle’s.....this was our first time having breakfast there. Our server did a good job, but was a little too attentive. The space is nicely appointed and comfortable. We appreciate that it’s open early Sunday mornings and offers espresso coffee drinks! We both ordered French toast, but it arrived already buttered and doused in maple syrup with a super sweet compote on top, all of which was too much for me! I should have gone with a heartier choice and will do so next time.
They have valet parking and the guys out front are very cordial. The food is delicious and very friendly service
Wonderful food and environment but my server didn't either didn't want to serve us or simply didn't want to be at work.
I won’t go there again. Worst service ever. Staff wasn’t trained. They brought the sides out first. Pitiful night. We were upset.
I hosted a business reception there and the staff at Estelle were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. The reception was a sucess!
Fabulous, prior to banquet. Made it to our event on time. Handled our Shellfish allergy well. Get the duck sausage appetizer!!!
My wife, family and myself enjoyed the brunch. The food was great and the service was perfect!!
Love Estelle! Always reliable for a delicious meal. Best brunch in Jackson!
The food and the atmosphere was wonderful but the service was poor. 😔
Excellent saxophone player and delicious food!
Easter brunch. Staff was very accommodating to our needs
Estelle has become one of our favorite downtown JXN venues. The restaurant, located in the Westin, allows for easy access to Thalia Mara when attending functions at the auditorium. Chef Kajdan has always been extremely creative in his entree offerings at his previous stops and has likewise continued at Estelle.
Having dined many times at Estelle, the quality and presentation of the entrees offered is top notch. The only downside is there appears to be a significant turnover in waitstaff, which may be responsible for some lags in service.
Chef Matthew is awesome! So creative!
The food and atmosphere at Estelle are amazing, but the service was painfully slow. Our waitress only came to our table every 20 minutes or so, and we ended up being there for almost 3 hours. 4 separate times someone from our party had to get up and go find someone to 1) take our drink orders 2) take our food orders 3)refill our drinks 4)bring our checks.
It was prom night, so a bit busy with large tables of high school kids, but that doesn’t excuse a steak coming out over cooked. Staff was nice and comped my next glass of wine, but the new steak came out almost raw. Manager admitted that was not “medium rare” and took the item off my bill, but meanwhile my date was on dessert and I was ready to just leave. So good service and handling of the situation, just bad food.
Great experience from being greeted at the valet when I was dropped off to the hostess desk when I entered Estelle. It is a gorgeous place, very open and airy. I asked to be seated at the kitchen table so I could communicate with the chef and her staff. My server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She is just learning about wines so she was very eager to assist me. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered a Sausage and Olive pizza. Normally I dont like olives on my pizza but they were a mixture of green olives and they were very subtle which the pizza guy suggested and promised I would Love! I did! Wine selection by the glass is OK. Wine list by the bottle is extensive and prices are reasonable. Manager came over and visited with me for a bit and made sure I knew about upcoming wine dinner events. All in all this was a lovely dinner so I will definitely return on my next Jackson visit.
Ariel was fantastic! We loved the event and her attentiveness was wonderful! I’ll definitely be back for another event and dinner!
Our waitress Kayla was very helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the High tea and plan on attending again. I also can’t wait to try out dinner for a date night soon.
The food was mediocre for taste and value. The service was very slow. We observed other patrons have to complain about the service and repeated ask for setups/silverware. We have dined at Estelle before and had the same experience. We do not recommend Estelle, especially if trying to make a show at Thalia Mara, unless you go at least 2 hours before show start. Sadly, this is the only place close to eat before a show. Not again though.
Great ambience, perfect for pre-show dinner. Great service and food. Beautiful restaurant and hotel!
Arrived three minutes before the reservation and were told to have a seat since we were early...? The maitre’d later apologized, but it was an odd start. An event nearby at Thalia Mara prompted the meal (four of us) and it was crowded. Staff were very friendly and shared responsibilities. Food was brought quickly and tasted great; would definitely go back.
All good. Music was a little loud for lunch.
Me, my sister and my mother attended the afternoon tea held Feb 16th and absolutely LOVED it. Our waitress mentioned that you all might start doing the teas monthly (or more frequently) and I truly hope you do! You would have a lot of business from my friends and I since the only decent tea room at 3 hours away in Convington, LA (and we frequent that place quite often despite the long distance)
What an amazing Champagne Afternoon Tea!!! Jackson, MS is lucky to have this event. The food was amazing, and the presentation was very elegant. I will be back.
Estelle's is one of the most loveliest places in all of Jackson. The staff is incredible and 2nd to none in regards to service. They are attentive without being overbearing. The prices are a little on the steep side but that's normal for hotel restaurants and for the service that you get, I'm ok with that. Also, this is the first time they offered afternoon tea. It was a lovely set-up. The spin of the set up was a little different from Afternoon Tea. I attend them quite a bit all over the country and I would prefer the traditional 3 tiered stand for serving the food items. The way it was done at Estelle's made the table to cluttered and it made it hard for everyone to reach everything. That's my only "concern". Otherwise, I can't wait until the next Afternoon Tea.
The hotel restaurant of a Westin hotel - although not advertised as such.
Nice ambiance - upscale wine bar and bistro.
But food was not so good.
Pretentious menu prepares poorly and very over seasoned.
Wine list was same.
By the glass options not so plentiful - and mediocre quality.
Large bottle selection - but very over priced.
Afterwards Uber driver told me that many visitors disliked their experience.
I won’t go back.
