   Food was delicious! Service was fast. Loved the watermelon, feta, arugula salad. And the Dolce de leche lava cake was worth the calories!!

   The chicken and waffles was the unexpected superstar of the breakfast, the French toast was amazing, service was good, drinks were perfect. Great overall experience.

   At first I was hesitant to go after reading the reviews, but I’m glad I went. This place was such a good choice. We made reservations for 7 on a Thursday. The place was quiet considering the amount of people that were there. As soon as we sat down we were immediately served with water. Not even a minute after our waitress came. The service was phenomenal!!!! The food and drinks came out very quickly . We both had the Rasta Pasta with oxtails which was amazing! After I asked the waitress if she could switch my drink (because of my own personal preference) she did with no problem and actually preferred something sweeter. The manager even came up to check on us after that. He was very funny cool and so down to earth. They didn’t charge us for the drink (which again because of my own taste nothing to do with them) and we insisted that they would and they said no lol. Overall I had a great first experience. I will be back!

   We had a reservation at 6 before a show we had at 7:30. We ordered our food about 6:20. We were ignored a lot by our server and just told our food would be out momentarily. We waited over an hour and asked for the bill and our food to go, and were met with annoyance. We ran out at 7:25 to get to our show. Food was not very good either, but drinks were nice.

   We arrived early and we were seated downstairs for a cozy dinner. Ben was a fantastic server! The Rack of Lamb was so tender and cooked with an unusually delicious fruit medley topping! Perfect before or after dinner after Citizens Opera House Performance.

   Wait staff friendly, helpful and attentive--and we easily got out in time for our concert without feeling rushed. Fried yucca and its sauce delicious (and not greasy)! But the noise level is high. I don't know who started the rumor back in the 80s that people enjoy that, and maybe it's true, but without exception no one I know does, from age 18 to 88. If we could talk without lip reading, Estella's would solve the perennial problem of finding a good place to eat with good service in the Theater District. Carpeting would help soak up the sound.

   I probably should have read other reviews more carefully to understand the energetic vibe of this place. It felt more like a bar scene with the noise levels and TVs in the mezzanine seating area. Our server was lovely and was helpful in getting us out in time for a show. Cocktails were good and a decent size, food was ok though my friend thought her ravioli was a little underdone. I had the branzino and it was a generous portion and the tomato and white beans that were served with it were tasty. Overall good but not a quiet atmosphere!

    Food was amazing and nice portion sizes. Martinis were weak and expensive!
