Situated in Sandsend, one of the most picturesque villages and a true hidden gem of the Yorkshire coast, Estbek house is an award winning and critically acclaimed restaurant with rooms. Estbek - often misspelt as ‘Estbeck’ or ‘Eskbeck’ - is a Georgian property, built circa 1750 and previously housing the Alum mining office. We aim to emphasise this incomparable charm of the historic building, with a tasteful touch of modern luxury throughout.

Lovely, fish-oriented restaurant. Courteous service in the best way. I love restaurants that offer you an aperitif and a menu somewhere comfy before showing you to your table. I also love those that give you an amuse-bouche. Food lovely - the fish pie was amazing. Wine very reasonably priced. Desserts to die for. I would go back in a heart beat.

On booking this meal we had high expectations from this restaurant from the reviews we had read. Well we were not disappointed the service was excellent attentive but not intrusive but the food was fabulous each course being a delight. Well shall be returning next time we are in the area

Great quality food and wine as always. Tim and David do a fabulous job here to ensure customer satisfaction. The other staff are lovely and friendly too. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.

Amazing food and really good service from a really good team. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Sandsends. I had some really nice fish dishes.

A great choice on the menu I had scallops as a starter and crab Thermidor as a main both cooked perfectly and very tasty. The staff were really nice also

A delicious and wonderful experience! The staff were excellent, and the food was fantastic. We ate there with our small children and the staff made us feel welcome and made things extra special for our children. The seafood stack was especially delicious. Highly recommend if you are in Whitby.
