Sara was great in greeting us and Mel/Rolly(think Fingers) did an awesome job as our server. Food was outstanding. Will definitely be back. Great experience!!!!
It’s not a bad place. The service was excellent. The steaks were good. I wasn’t a fan of the corn with coconut. It was too sweet.
Graduation celebration for our son; dinner and service were fantastic. Ryan, the server, as well as the sommelier provided first class service. Food was delicious; we had steaks and seafood, all were cooked perfectly. The manager, also named Ryan came by to ensure that we had a memorable evening. Will definitely go there again next time we're in the LA area.
I always have a great time at E.S.T. The service is great and the food as always amazing! The shrimp and crab salad is my favorite. Always save room for desert here too. I highly recommend this steakhouse :)
The service was the best we’ve ever had.
Everything was awesome. Fantastic food. Great services.
Really good food and service
Wonderful dining place. The waitress is friendly and patiently answer all my wife's questions from foods to hair styles. We ordered seafood tower for two and Ameican Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye. The lobster and oyster are fresh and tasty. The Ribeye serve in huge portion. That size just fit our table for 2.
The taste... is above average, but love their services. I will recommend this restaurantto my friends for their future dinning plan.
It's an traditional classic and contemporary design of steakhouse inside the Sheraton Hotel in San Gabriel Valley. The steak I ordered was so juicy flavor, the meat was cooked right on with good temperature n warm even though I don't have to put any sauce when the waitress offered different kinds of sauce for my medium New York. The salad, mash potatoes with dice pork belly were fantastically to match the steak. Dessert of chocolate balls after putting on Carmel sauce with gelato inside!! So yummy and presentable!! Everything was almost perfect, just the crackers for Caesar's salad was too hard to chew, and truffle Mac n Cheese wasn't having less truffle flavor. Other than that, everything so good !! It deserves to have four stars, if all those minor items mistakes is improved, it will grant a Five Stars!!
Ryan and his team are the best! They made our wedding dinner celebration memorable with their warm hospitality and generosity. My bride, my elderly folks, and our two daughters had such a lovely experience at EST. I hope my gift of the remainder of our red wine in the decanter was an acceptable gift for Melchor and the rest of the staff--they really deserve more for the awesome job that front of house does. Back of house are no slouches, by the way. The food is flavorful and heavenly. As most everyone has mentioned on Yelp, the crispy Brussels sprouts are to die for; you'll find yourself always ordering them upon subsequent visits.
The crab cakes shrank soooo much. I have ordered the crab cakes before and they were decent sized. But now, the order of three is the size of ONE original crab cake size. Super disappointed. Three TINYYYY little crab cakes cost $25. That is just ridiculous... The steak also wasn't as good as the first time I went. Safe to say, I won't be coming back here. I should've went to my usual birthday steak restaurant. At least I can count of them to make it right.
If you are familiar with the San Gabriel Valley, then you know landing a steakhouse in the middle of some of the best Asian food in the world (really) is a risk. The risk is worth it in the long run. Located at the entrance of a hotel on Valley Blvd the room, with it's high ceilings, is a little to modern/cold for a steakhouse. If you can get over the room ambience, then the food, the real reason you are at this place anyway, is excellent both in preparation and presentation. The menu is "family style" with largish portions meant to be shared. The steaks were excellent and on par with the best steakhouses in Los Angeles. The service was also excellent - attentive but not obtrusive. So, if you live in the area, just driving through, or the lineup at your favorite restaurant on Valley Blvd is too long, then try E.S.T. as it is a safe bet.
Overall this is one of the best night out drinks and dinner that my wife and I have had in a long time. From the very well-stocked bar to the bartender Marty Who is amazing at not only recommending but making some really high-quality beverages. His knowledge of liquor and creativity in making the drinks definitely made our experience the bar five star. Our server who goes by Nim was amazing. We highly recommend the porterhouse as well as the ball flight. A great experience I highly recommend this steak house. And just because I might’ve forgotten to mention the seats were so comfortable .
The food was amazing, and the service was great. We did have a server bring food to us twice that was not for our table which was obviously just confusion. And our entrees did take a while to receive. But the long wait was worth every minute with the quality of the food. Make sure you bring enough money of course because dinner here is a pretty penny. Overall we had a great experience and I’m sure at some point in the future we will find ourselves back at EST. Prime Steakhouse
Great experience. Food was good. Celebrated CNY with fiends. Helpful and friendly staff.
Our Wagyu tomahawk steak “ medium rare” was very tasty and cooked to perfection. This was only our third time here and we have never been disappointed with the service or the food. We will definitely come again.
The Seafood Tower was excellent.
Went in for the dineLA menu. Sides could use a little bit of work, but the steak, the salad, and the bread pudding was delicious.
Salad was served after entree came.
Food was avg. Wagyu tartare was horrible, seems everything was extra salty.
We had a family member visiting for her birthday. We chose this place as its close to us and we love the atmosphere/design, food/ drinks & the service is outstanding. Sara called us to confirm the reservation & let us chose our server, Melchor. Since we had a larger group, they sat us out on the patio, which was enclosed & heated. It was the first time we sat out there, & it was really nice & comfortable, and really easy to have a conversation with all 6 of us. Melchor started by bringing us Prosecco for the Birthday Celebration! Martin, the bartender made us a special drink, based on a drink we like somewhere else & he does his own, very different, take on it, which he has perfected & makes for us when we come in. Jorge, the Sous Chef, came out to help the guys, who wanted steak, chose what to get. Two of us had the Mushroom Ravioli, one had the flight of 3 Wagyu Steaks, 2 shared the Chateaubriand & the last had the New York Steak. We had a few sides also, the Mac n Cheese, Steak Fries and they gave us a trial the Crispy Brussel Sprouts... which my husband does not eat, but he actually liked them! The rest of us thought they were awesome. In fact, we all loved our food. They also brought out a bread pudding with a candle for the Birthday Girl, and we all ordered different desserts to share. Our guest said this was the best meal she has ever had! Ryan, the manager paid us a visit to see how our meal was, it was nice that he took the time. We have had the opportunity to go to the restaurant at different times of the week. Fridays & Saturdays are quite busy, but not unbearably noisy. Weekdays (they are closed Monday) are much slower, which I actually like, if you want to have a more quite or romantic atmosphere. Wednesdays are a bit busier than Tuesday/ Thursday. We are regulars at the Royce & Alexander's in Pasadena and we would put this restaurant up there with those, yet they all have different reasons we go to them, EST will become a part of our "circuit"!
Dine in LA menu. Only steak is good ( but looks terrible) Salad and dessert are just ok. I didn’t finish both. Overall, the experience is not too impressive.
Came for 2019 January DineLA and it was okay. 1st Courses: Ordered the Winter Salad (replaced Honey Crisp Apples with cheaper version of Granny Smith Apples) and Toy Box Tomatoes (those were obviously missing) and Beets Salad. Both were delicious, but missing the key ingredients listed on their DineLA Menu and it was only the first three days of DineLA, not good! For the 2nd Courses (Main Entrees + 1 Side): The Barrel Prime Cut Filet 8oz was delicious and tender - highly recommend getting that! The 12oz Ranch New York was good, but slightly chewy and hard to cut into. The sides were delicious and plentiful: Garlic & Pork Belly Mashed Potatoes and the Chef's Mushrooms & Bone Marrow (cooked in its juice and stock. Doesn't come with the actual bone marrow). There's only one dessert on there: the Warm Brioche Bread Pudding, which was great and finished off the meal nicely. If you're doing DineLA for your birthday here: no complimentary champagne or extra dessert (especially, for level of fine dining, that definitely falls short). A candle and happy birthday chocolate sign is placed in your DineLA dessert. Service was good for us. The servers were nice, courteous and attentive. Great at refilling our waters and replenishing our complimentary Rolls & Butter (which was also good. However, the truffle butter is only served during regular meals). You get the basic butter during DineLA. For parking: Recommend parking on the free residential street. If you do self-parking, there's 2 Hours free with validation. There's also valet too. Nice to try out this place, but the levels of wow-factor were definitely lacking.
The meat dishes are very well prepared. However, seafood preps need improvement. The quality of the seafood is good, but they are over cooked thus the texture is not as tender and as moist as they should be.
Overall, the service and environment are nice.
Our server, Adrian was very attentive and great. Food was good. Sides need to come out with the main entree rather than after the meal.
Great bartender. Great Service. Quiet atmosphere. But the food.....it’s a Steak Restuarant but they just can’t seem to get that right. The steaks are typically bland/warm (not hot). Now, their Salads are fantastic, as are their fish entrees (sea bass and salmon) both highly recommended. But the star of the show for me are their crispy Brussels.....if you love Brussels.....I defy anyone to not eat the entire family size portion. They are incredibly good....we asked the Chef to come out and share his recipe they are that good
I recommend this restaurant. But don’t go if you are looking for red meat....
We came here twice in two weeks with friends and received excellent service and food.
New Years Eve and many Rose Bowl attendees in the house. Still all tables were not full. Service was very very slow. Didn’t receive entree for two hours and sides were incorrect from order. Needs considerable fine tuning to improve the experience.
New Years Eve
Hands down the worst food ever from a supposed steakhouse. I frequently dine at restaurants like Mastros and the like. For this place to have the audacity to charge what they do is criminal.
A much needed upscale steakhouse in the area! Don’t let the fact that EST is located within the Sheraton Hotel, this place is a legitimate stand alone restaurant!
As a couple who is all into the customer experience and enjoyment of the moment, this was easily the TOP DINNER DATE me and my spouse have been on. From the setup of the restaurant, to our server Ryan, to even the GM Ryan coming out to check on us once dinner was done, this place was AMAZING. The GM, as previously mentioned, was fantastic, even treating us to a free dessert that was just as amazing as the meal itself. I cannot stress enough how much they wanted to make sure we had the best time possible. The food was beautifully plated, well seasoned, and wonderfully cooked. The ambiance was quiet and comfortable. The dark decor implored us to not do too much other than converse and enjoy our meal. We will definitely be back when we come back to LA.
Kudos to EST. Prime Steakhouse for making this trip even more enjoyable for us.

This restaurant is a gem and I will be coming back with friends and relatives.
It’s OK... vacuum sealed steaks.... not that great... nice booths tho
Fantastic cuisine, phenomenal wine list and professional sommelier and an exquisite setting! We can’t wait to visit again.
For our personal adventure for a Thanksgiving dinner last night, I would love to rate it higher on the service but I must to deduct one star for the hostess for lacking either experience in handling PR or taking initiative to resolve issues especially on this Thanksgiving Day evening. We made a reservation well in advance (via OpenTable) for a window table in the main dining room not for a patio seating. When we arrived 5 minutes early, we were escorted to the patio (freezing out there) instead of to the main dining room. When I asked to be seated in the main dining room, we were told by the hostess that "We were completely booked for 3 weeks and those tables were reserved already". Really? Hello, our party wasn't a walk in either. Are you implying our reservation made from open table was not advanced enough? I was almost to call it off and walk out of this place but I guessed she realized she needed to be a bit flexible so she offered us a table at the bar area. There were plenty of tables available, and I saw only a few parties came after us. Another star deducted for the service was lacking the holiday warm welcoming spirits when we walked into the restaurant. Everyone seemed to be stressed out and not engaging in direct eye contact or with a smile except for the second-line wait staff (in black uniform) was doing an awesome job. He was the only one I would rate "5" stars.
Food on the other hand, I would rate it a "4.5" for the steaks we ordered. They both were well seasoned, not drowning in a sea of salts like other prime steak houses we have been to. I deducted a 0.5 point for the food because my wife's 35 day aged Kansas steak was slightly over cooked. My Delmonico steak was perfectly cooked though. The crab cakes were nearly perfect. That said, I wished they were pan-seared instead of deep frying it. The side dish, carrots were so delicious. Steak sauces, like chimichurri and EST steak were a must to have for your steaks.
First time here and we had a great experience, is definitely high end and it didn't disappoint. The yellowfin tuna tartare with taro chips was delicious, there tomato bisque soup was very tasty, along with the filet and asparagus. Overall be ready to pay a pretty penny it's a very beautiful restaurant and they also have live jazz and it was very lovely while having dinner in the patio.
Food was delicious! Service was incredible!
