Bringing tide to table, Essex Pearl is a market & kitchen concept serving an eclectic mix of exotic seafood from around the globe. The restaurant’s airy and inviting atmosphere has an open kitchen and 48 seats. To reflect the seasons, the menu is skillfully crafted and infused with international ingredients and flavors meant to best highlight each piece of seafood as the star of the show. Designed as small plates to share, the offerings range from a raw bar with ten types of oysters plus uni and clams, three types of lobster rolls, and composed dishes like amberjack with pickled plum, fried squash flowers, and furikake.

The beer and wine program is curated with both national and international wines with a spotlight on smaller producers - all of which pair swimmingly with seafood.

Patrons have the option to shop the market for high-quality products to cook at home, order to-go items, or sit down for an upscale casual dining experience.

Great late evening snacks. Everything we tried from the menu was solid. Inventive but not precious. The Caesar salad was amazing - bonito flakes?! What?! So good. Perfect post show hangout and we’ll be back.

this "restaurant" within the Essex Market is worth seeking out if you love seafood. Everything we ate was perfect and delicious and the service was beyond attentive.

This was a very mediocre meal. The menu was very limited in it's seafood selection. The lobster roll was nowhere near what it should have been. I would not go back and I would not recommend this restaurant.

Went for a girls’ night out. Our first time visiting the newly done Essex market and came specially for Essex Pearl. Made it in time for their happy hour so grabbed a dozen $1 oysters and a bottle of rosé. Best thing about the dollar oysters is that they don’t give you the standard bluepoints. All of their east coast offerings are part of happy hour. Ordered several plates off the menu to share for dinner. Highly recommend the shrimp fritters, tinned fish and bacon kimchi fried rice. Will be back!

The food was delicious and the service excellent. The shrimp fritter is excellent as was the Branzino, which was the the best I ever had. It was fun and friendly. Not intimate but comfortable and pleasant. We thought the whole experience was special and look forward to going again.

enjoyed the casual ambiance and the setting inside the market. some of the dishes were excellent but there were problems. The dorato for $25 was overpriced small piece of fish with huge amount of lettuce and tasteless cucumbers. the shrimp cocktail was not shrimp cocktail and overly salty. the music was too loud and conflicting with the music from the taco stand. service was rushed and poorly trained.

Super fresh seafood and really creative flavor combinations. Highly recommend mussels in Thai curry sauce and shrimp fritters! Super delicious! Raw bar amazingly fresh - $1 oysters during happy hour!

First time in Essex Market since the rebuild. This was a great should for dinner before the movie next door at Regal. Great deal on oysters during the buck a shuck happy hour.
