Had a great experience here. We came for the bottomless brunch, and our waitress Crystal was great!! Would def recommend! Heaters are warm enough considering it is mid-January. I would still dress really warm to be safe!

Love the staff, and the food and drink selection is always excellent. It’s important to remember, while we’re in covid, we need to be patient. Any restaurants left are running on skeleton crews and supplies. It’s not normal times. The Essex staff does their very best to serve 10 tables with 1-2 server and two bussers. Depending on the night. The chefs are bringing out food to make sure you get it hot to you. Support them. Great quality and service, especially in trying times.

This restaurants vibe was immaculate!! Our server constantly refilled our drinks and was so much fun. Food was amazing and vibes from everyone else eating was very energetic. Also $40 for 90min bottomless and an entree is very cheap in nyc. They take brunch reservations till 4:30pm. Latest brunch in the city. Will definitely be back for more.

Fantastic brunch outside under the heat lamp. Although it was 37 degrees, we were very comfortable. Food was delicious. Server was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

This was my husband and I first time at Essex and we left extremely happy. The service & food were top notch and considering the restrictions in NYC this outdoor dining experience was a positive experience. It was a cold night but we were provided with an individual heating lamp for the table to keep us warm.

We had New Year’s Day bottomless brunch at Essex this year. We had a wonderful time, from the second the hostess called to confirm our reservation to the time that our waitress brought our check the staff was friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was the best it could be seeing as its only outdoor dining. One thing that could be changed is that the heaters seemed to be on relatively low for sitting in the cold weather. The food tasted good, however my roommate was disappointed that the avocado on the avocado toast was mushy. Our favorite part was that our group isn’t a huge fan of Champagne, and Essex offers screwdrivers as a bottomless option. This place is close to our apartment so we will definitely be back.

Beautiful outdoor dining setup! Social distanced layout with 2 heaters per table. Delicious food and professional service. Best of all Essex is pet friendly—the manager even gave us homemade dog biscuits. Highly recommend.

Can’t wait to visit when indoor dining is back. We were a little cold. Heater was small and too high. But yes, I know that’s not their fault. The food was delicious.

Our server was trying very hard to do a good job however the table was dirty and she seem a bit all over the place with her thought process.

Restaurant is doing a great job taking precautions during Covid-19. The food was delicious. I had the fig and Gorgonzola flatbread as an appetizer. I wanted Amazing almost felt like ordering a second one. Husband enjoyed his scallop risotto. Will definitely go back to Essex really enjoyed the experience.

Helen and staff were great. Service was wonderful. Food is always amazing. Essex has some of the best (blue point) oysters in the city. Even on a Sunday. Nicely spaced tables, good wine selection (although slightly limited during covid), but always a pleasure.

We do thanksgiving with the Essex crew every year and it’s always fantastic. Great menu selections, well priced bottle wines, and great servers, never over the top, just spot on service and perfectly cooked meals. Will miss their happy hour during covid, but will drop by regularly for their burger. Always a pleasure.

Server was attentive and kept refilling our mimosa glasses as needed. Food was so good and good portion! Restaurant was not loud, but not quiet either. Will very likely recommend to a friend!

Everything was great outside of the kitchen being backed up over an hour.

We had to eat outside which is the norm now but bouncers and waitresses and waiter were awesome and so nice. The chef also came out and it was quite a good time.

Food was mediocre and took so long to come during brunch that it cut into our bottomless drinking option . The Resturant did compensate us by offering a round of shots which was nice . The atmosphere was great and it def gets busy so reservations for sat brunch highly recommended

Overall it was a great experience. This was my first time dining at this establishment and everyone was very gracious. The brunch and unlimited mimosas as well as some other drink options was perfect and our waitress Crystal was the best! They also have gluten-free arepas you can have with the Benedicts that are delightful!

This was awesome! They had the whole street blocked off and had plenty of tables outside under a tent. Great menu and the eggs Benedict was very yummy. We had bottomless brunch and our waitress was very good at keeping up filled up. Will be returning.
