After a comedy show on the Lower east side we wanted a decent spot with good food. Essex was the ticket. Not too busy we had a great meal and a few drinks. Definitely reccommend!

The server rushed us to order before all of the party had arrived. The kitchen forgot to put the add-ons on two of the entrees ordered.

Had to come back. I was craving for the perfectly cooked porterhouse steak. Juicy and wellseasoned. Great deal on such a huge portion. Invited a couple of friends, and they loved it. Don't leave without trying the burrata plate, the mushroom ravioli, and the interesting cavatelli pasta with lamb ragu. Got a taste of everything. Yummy experience 😋

What a lovely surprise. The food was absolutely spectacular. The service was also great. What a hidden gem. I can’t recommend this highly enough.

We’re not going back. Came for my birthday dinner, and in a relatively empty restaurant, they seated us next to an obnoxious large party. Our server never checked on us, drinks took over thirty minutes, food took over an hour to hit the table after multiple prods. We had a hard stop for another reservation, and had to scarf down the food before rushing out the door. We barely got an apology, let alone any kind of comps for the egregiously bad service. I wish I’d gone to the McDonald’s on Essex instead.

I would absolutely come back here again for brunch and for dinner as well one day. My only concern was the lack of airflow in the upstairs seating area. My party and I very quickly became hot due to the lack of ceiling fans and ventilation. Aside from that we had a great time the food was great, service was outstanding, and my birthday was celebrated beautifully.
