   Been here several times however this time our food took over 75 mins to arrive and it was just ok Super noisy and not great service It’s this was my first time here I’d never go back

   I was told this place was great, food service and all. I was really excited to try this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. The service was slow. I had to flag the waiter down to finally place an order. I felt ignored and unattended. I was charged for the “complementary flour tortillas”. Even checking out and paying for my tab was a bad experience, I waited ten minutes just to get my card back. For that reason I didn’t even bother mentioning the fact I was charged for a “free” item. I’m highly disappointed and do not recommend this place.

   Amazing service. Amazing food. The short rib tacos were absolutely divine. I will definitely be a regular customer. My only concern was the restaurant temperature. It’s a bit cold especially at night. Wear a jacket. It’s definitely worth it.

    Definitely have become a regular here! Great margs—flavorful, unique, really fresh flavors. Tacos and guac are excellent—good quality, good portions, very flavorful. Service is always nice and efficient, but not overwhelming.

    Had a great experience from start to finish. Our server was incredible and our food and drinks were delicious. Much needed in the south bay and loved the design of the restaurant.

    I’d been to Esperanza before and I remember really enjoying the fresh tortillas and margaritas. Last night the restaurant was so loud that my friends and I were basically yelling at each other. Our service was also HORRRRIBLE. My friend ordered a beer and when he brought it, asked if she would like a glass. She said yes that she would. He never brought one. We had to ask someone else and the glass he brought was wet. As for our dinner, we ordered chips with guacamole and tacos. The runner brought out our tacos but the chips never came. Finally, I asked our waiter if he forgot and he said yes he forgot. A different runner brought out it out and then, what seemed like every minute someone would come by and ask if we were ok or needed anything. Super annoying. Although the chips and guacamole still came out after being reminded, it would have been a nice gesture to comp them or send a dessert or something for the mistake instead of having people check on us every minute. I will not be returning any time soon.

    My experience overall was excellent. I would like to start with the location. Just a short walk to the pier, great spot to grab a bite. Reservation is a must. The food was amazing, with great flavor and consistency. Service was fantastic. If ya’ll get a chance to visit, please ask for Devin. What an amazing service he offered. Music was very chill. I ordered a few margaritas and those were delightful. I would definitely visit again. Hopefully I’m the summer cuz it feels very cold.

    Unfortunately I will not be going back to Esperanza due to poor service and behavior of bar staff. Very disappointed in professionalism and behavior received from female bartender while having cocktails with business associates.

    The food was very salty. The ambiance is very lively but it is so loud it's very hard to have a conversation or hear anyone. I will not be recommending this place other than for maybe cocktails and I won't be going back.

    Second time I’ve come here. The restaurant is so aesthetically pleasing. This restaurant could have easily fell into the box of being all show but no substance. Fortunately this restaurant is just as tasty as it is beautiful. Service has always been amazing. I recommend making. A reservation.

    Nice decor. Food was overpriced and just ok. ShortRib taquito appetizer was over cooked and dry. $10 for two coffees at the end of the meal served almost cold. No cream with coffee. Had to ask twice. Only offer filet mignon fajita which were fine. Very busy and servers looked like they were working hard. Maybe try it again when it’s slower?

    Feels like a fast food version of the Cabo restaurant. Atmosphere does not even come close to the Cabo one but my main focus was the service, we waited 25 minutes before a drink order was even taken, then another 20 minutes for it to arrive (we ordered wine and this was at 3.30pm the place had 4 tables to cover and a couple of people sat at the bar) when the drink came the waiter immediately walked off and we had to shout after him to ask to please order the food. We were then given a different waiter who was fantastic and attentive but the first one was just awful, most likely because he was just covering someone’s break and knew we weren’t remaining his table

    At first, I was skeptical that high-end Mexican food in California could have so many five star reviews. But I was still willing to give it a shot, and I would say it definitely exceeded expectations. The ceviche was really nicely seasoned, plantain chips were probably some of the best I've ever had in the States. The breakfast tacos were surprisingly good, even though I wouldn't normally think to have egg in my tacos. The portions were quite sizable, but maybe that's also because we had delicious micheladas and ate all of the ceviche. The staff were friendly and warm, stayed attentive but not checking in overly much. I'd probably go back just for the ceviche and drinks, but would be willing to try again for their dinner menu.

    Really pretty, fun vibe. Rose sangria was excellent, house made plantains and corn cakes very tasty. Enjoyed short rib salad. Service was attentive and helpful.

    On Christmas day the terrific management team chose to work. Food was great and ambiance is unique for Manhattan beach. A great place for brunch, lunch or dinner and fun bar atmosphere.
