Esin Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant never disappoints! My pork chop was outstanding as well as the wine selections. We were seated in a cozy booth where we could hear each other talk and the service was attentive and friendly. The decor is tasteful and warm. What else can one ask for in a great dining experience.
Esin is my go to restaurant for predictably delicious food. I usually select one of their seasonal specials. I particularly appreciate the chef always offering at least one fresh fish entree. Three of my girlfriends and I celebrate our birthdays with lunch at a restaurant between Lafayette to Livermore. The restaurant is selected by the birthday girl. Nine times out of ten our pick is Esin, but of note is the fact that whenever one of us selects another establishment, we end our meal with "We should have gone to Esin!"
Just a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. We had the shrimp Cobb salad, the steak sandwich, oysters, and the choices for dessert were incredible. Cassie, our server was a pro!! Perfect balance of being there at the perfect time but giving us our space to enjoy. Excellent knowledge of the menu and we will definitely ask for her in the future. Every employee had a smile. Can’t wait to visit again
We went for my husband's birthday and took our 11 month old along. Not only was the food delicious and prompt, but service was impeccable. Everyone was so gracious and accommodating even when our son spilled my onion soup all over the table! Would definitely return soon!
Very disappointed. I had noted that this was my 93 year old Dad's birthday celebration dinner. When I walked in my Dad was already seated and the hostess acknowledged it was his 93 rd B.D. I assumed because I had mentioned it with my reservation and they acknowledged this that they would put a candle on his dessert. In fact all around us a few other people were celebrating and they had candles . I was so upset that they never did anything and when we left the hostess again acknowledged to me that it was his birthday. On top of this the French onion soup was warm, not hot. Very little cheese on top. Very mediocre. We ordered the phyllo chicken breast on couscous. The couscous was luke warm and the chicken breast was also not hot just luke warm. My father ordered coffee to begin the meal and he complained the service was bad because they didn't refill the cup for a long time( until I asked them finally). The baklava was good and lemon meringue pie was good. But that didn't make up for the overall disappointing meal and failure to acknowledge a very important event... someone's 93rd Birthday. I would not recommend this restaurant at all . Not attending to detail and very mediocre food.
We hadn't been to Esin in years since it first opened and so we decided to give it a try on Saturday evening. What a terrible experience. We will not be back. The beets in the salad were hard, the sea bass was ok, the creme brûlée was runny, and the bill was a shocker considering we each only had one drink and very average food. The waiter was annoyingly trying to rush us the entire time. After he showed up at our table 3 times in 3 mins he attempted to take our order when we were not ready yet, he actually said, "I will be back in a minute and hopefully by then you can order". Keep in mind we had already put in our salad order so it's not as if we were just taking an unusually long time to get our main order in.Then the food came out ridiculously fast. Our reservation was at 7:30 and what seemed like 8:45 the bill was set on our table. 5 mins later the waiter actually came by and tapped the bill holder as a reminder to pay our bill. It was a Saturday night and didn't expect to be rushed out of there before 9pm. This was our first time here and it will be our last.
