Esin Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
This our favorite local restaurant. The food is exception and reasonably priced. I have eaten many items and the menu and all have been excellent. I would and do suggest this restaurant many times. Just off the 680 freeway so the location is excellent for a drop in for dinner.
There with 4 friends for a long lunch. 2 of us had the sole which was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Excellent!!
Others had the pasta in wine sauce with shrimp and another had the risotto with shrimp. Very Good!
Service was terrific as the restaurant was packed. Excellent deserts.
The Beet salad was excellent; however, We thought the drinks were pricey and the espresso.
We have eaten at Cafe Esin for years. We have enjoyed good meals and some not so good. We had given up on Cafe Esin because our last two experiences were well below average. The service was horrible. We felt ignored and there were very few customers. We returned to celebrate a birthday/anniversary and to use up our gift cards. We now have to say we will be back. The food and service were excellent. We had a wonderful evening. My only suggestion would be to sit along a wall. The center of the restaurant is very noisy.
Been wanting to visit Esin Restaurant for a long time and finally decided to go! We arrived and were seated at the back of the restaurant in a cozy booth. The hostess gave us dessert menus to peruse and lots of tasty items. After deciding on what we wanted to order, we proceeded to wait, and wait and wait for a server to come over and greet us. After 15 minutes, I finally got up and flagged down someone. He tried to get a server for us and in the end, he took our order.
We ordered Creme Brulee and Bread pudding and it was delicious. We also ordered SnowCapp... a warm liquor drink. YUM!
So overall the food was great, but they need to improve overall service level.
Our favorite place to eat in Danville! The service was awesome! Can’t beat their desserts especially the bread pudding and the apple-huckleberry crisp! Using open table we were seated, five minutes prior to our reservation. The staff is always friendly and courteous.
Esin has a different salmon dish daily. I had the salmon salad - perfectly grilled fillet, baby greens and a delish orzo salad w/pine nuts, dill, sundried tomatoes and red pepper. So delicious! My friend had the classic pot roast and really loved it. Dessert was equally yummy.
We haven't been to Esin in many years. It's a little pricey, so only thought of it for a birthday celebration this past week. It was wonderful years ago, and the other day as well. It's high quality, the menu options are varied, the service and ambience were great. I won't wait as long to go back this time!
Overall the food was good however even after our waiter suggested my salmon be served medium rare I requested well cooked. To my displeasure it was served medium rare. Had we not been entertaining our son and his wife for their anniversary I would have sent the meal back.
We were seated immediately when we arrived 5 minutes early. Our waiter staff was efficient and explained the menu and specials. Very knowledgeable about the wine. We were a party of 3, we all ordered something different and could not decide who had the best meal.
